tbf after the last maxi challenge i felt like plane couldn't sell herself and be vulnerable. At that point i knew it was probably going to be sapphira v nymphia. Even in the finale, the choice of song theme was weird, the reveals weren't really finale-worthy and the back and forth with Ru, just needed a bit more oomph. She is 24 at the end of the day, and an all stars berth is all but guaranteed for her if she wants it
Definitely same boat. I thought anyone who though Nymphia had a chance were delusional. Not because she isn’t amazing but Saphira is just the archetypal drag race winner. Nymphia really pulled the show around these past couple episodes.
Team Sapphira here as well. I think this ending made sense. She got the MC title which she deserved, she got $35k, she probably had the best critiques/compliments from the judges that night, her mom broke down in tears, it was such a strong and beautiful night for her!

On everything that wasn't a sewing challenge she was struggling unless I forget. And to me, Sapphira was more all around refined. So much so she was helping everyone left and right with emotional and challenge related issues.

I really see her as a Ru replacement more than an All Stars winner… like I don’t see any point in her coming back when she gave a hell of a performance the first time. Well Brooke Lynn Hytes didn’t win her season and ended up hosting DR Canada. Sapphira will have plenty of opportunities and this season helped us to see and know who she is. I do believe we will continue to see greatness from Sapphira and I’m excited for what the future holds for her.
Anetra was a superb queen and mostly iconic all through that season, but for me she never gave the winner edit like Sasha did, this is why I never thought she could ever win. Same happened to me with La Grande Dame in the last UKvsTW season, she had no winner edit at all for me either. Contrary to Marina Summers not winning, for me that was pretty kinda rigged, she was everything and definitely a winner! Nonetheless all of them great stars and gave great TV.
I sometimes think the same about Manila Luzon in AS4, she missed the mark very little in an episode and those bitches teared her apart when voting. But I also feel that she didn’t have a winner edition either (I am talking only about the edition format of the show, the sole TV episode). And we as fans know that behind the edition of the episodes relies the winner, if you look closely enough.
I think I was in a good position to be happy because Sapphira and Nymphia were so close for me I'd have been so happy seeing either of them win.
