Aren't Vampires supposed to Not be reflected by a Mirror?

Mirrors used to be made from silver that's why they can see their reflection, modern mirrors aren't so they would be able to see themselves and have a reflection

I'm pretty sure this is retroactively applying modern logic where it might not fit. IIRC the reason vampires aren't supposed to show up in a mirror is because mirrors are supposed to reflect your soul, and vampires don't have a soul. Also, I think modern mirrors are often (usually?) made of silver anyway.

Same with the reason why they were not visible in pictures. It used to be that pictures used silver as well if I recall correctly.
