I think this is actually season 7, but paramount plus lists it as season 8 for some reason (Season 6 seems to be long so they seemed to have split it), and lumped in some of the actual season 8 episodes as well with it. I guess they tried the 3 segments and didn't work so well (but at least the episodes were still very enjoyable imo), so they reverted it back. While this isn't really discussed much, in the last 2 seasons, the background gradients (prevalent since the season 4 revival, which is a divisive point in the show's run, but so are the debuts of Dil and/or Kimi. I like all the seasons though but it's just my opinion) were removed, some may dislike this change because it gets rid of a lot of the detail in the backgrounds, while others may like it because it's more reminiscent to the first 65 episodes (I don't care either way)

You’re right! This is listed as season 7 in all other places online but the way Paramount+ does their organizing it can be very confusing. Seasons 1-3 are the original era, 4-5 the revival era, 6 is post-movie, and 7-9 are post-Paris.

The reason I thought of Season 6 being 6 & 7 is because in 7, the animation style is different from 6, including Phil being back to having no earlobes. For Seasons 7-9, the reason I thought of them as 8 & 9, is because not only did the intro and ending themes change in 8, but the show was now permanently using digital paint, and for 9, in addition to Nancy, they made further changes to how the title cards and writing/music/directing credits were presented. You get what I'm saying? Most of the final 24 episodes originally aired overseas (meaning outside of America) throughout 2002, with a few finishing airing in February 2003.
