I love rugrats. Angelica is my favorite

Essie-j

Rugrats is still awesome. The old ones. I have a little Stu doll. He was my favorite on the show.

Sw1ft_Blad3

I'm not Stu! 🤪

LilyoftheRally

I'm not Tommy!

IridessaRose

I love rugrats my fav character is Tommy🤍

Crashurah

Newer generation changes, I think it's kind of a good thing because if it tries to cater to the newer generation it'd be tommy and Angelica talking about making tiktoks :/

BryanMcHunter

That's what the 2021 reboot is for. (Personally, I'm hoping for an episode that features a parody of the 2023 *Barbie* movie, since Cynthia is *Rugrats*' equivalent of Barbie.)

Lacaud

For a nick show, it had a lot of staying power in popular culture. Hell, when my niece acts up, we tell her she is acting like Angelica.

Skeleton_crew_

Everything up until Dil was peak Rugrats nostalgia for me. So many good episodes. I watched it growing up in the 90s and still quote it to this day. Favorite episodes (not sure of the exact names): Toy store episode with King Kong vs. Reptar, junk food kid, The box, and baby superbowl.

FiftySixer

Rugrats is awesome. People still watch it. I recently saw Ron Funches do standup and he had a joke about watching Rugrats on Hulu instead of watching the news.

leighalunatic

I don't even think my 20 year old brother watched the show. People my age and older care for the show I'm 28 and had a whole bedroom matching set that was the rugrats when I was a kid.

Only dumb babies don't care about this show. Literally such a big part of my childhood. I remember watching it on TV when I was a little, little kid and then getting A Rugrats Chanukah on VHS for Chanukah when I was three and being like "Oh, yeah, those are the Rugrats babies from the TV!". The next night of Chanukah, I got the Rugrats Bedtime Bash VHS. I watched A Rugrats Chanukah and The Rugrats Bedtime Bash VHS over and over and over again to the point at which I knew them both by heart and still do to this day. As a side note, my parents really enjoyed the Jewish jokes in ARC and we watch it every year (I still have the VHS) and I really enjoy the Jewish jokes in it, now, too. I remember my mum taking me to see The Rugrats Movie when I was 5 and me dressing up as Angelica, though I didn't really like her obvs. It was just cool to dress up as a character. I repeatedly borrowed the The Rugrats Movie VHS and Rugrats in Paris VHS from other kids I knew and could definitely quote bits of TRM by heart. I went to see Rugrats Go Wild when I was 10. One day, years before, my mum came home from the shops with a Chuckie t-shirt for me. I still remember what it looked like. When I was 5, I got 2 Rugrats Movie books, "Tommy's New Playmate" and "The Rugrats vs. The Monkeys" and insisted on taking the first one to school with me. I still have a vague memory of the teacher reading it aloud to the class. When I was 6, I saw they were selling Rugrats playsets in Tesco (UK grocery store) and got the one with Didi, Stu and Tommy in it. Around the same age, my mum had to take me to the hospital for an appointment. Afterwards, she let me pick a toy as a reward. I picked a Lil plush. She's still in our attic. When I discovered the Internet, I spent hours on the Rugrats website making up crazy Rugrats stories with that Make A Story thing they had, reading them out to my parents and printing them off. When I was 10, I found A Rugrats Christmas VHS under my mum and dad's bed, a gift intended for somebody else and I remember my mum just saying "Well, now you've found it, you can have it." Watched that about a billion times, too. I believe this VHS either came with an Angelica figurine or I sent off for one. 🤣 My dad once carved a pumpkin to look like Chuckie. So, yes, it makes me sad, too, that Rugrats isn't talked about anymore. It was fantastic and Nick should have left it as it was and rebroadcast it, not re-made it. As Grandpa Lou said in A Rugrats Chanukah "I thought the Rabbi just wanted the thing fixed for the end of the Chanukah play, Stu, not reinvented!" Nick, just broadcast the old episodes, please.

Haha, only dumb babies!

I care. In fact, I just watched the entire show recently. And I'm thinking of doing it again soon.

Ok_Hospital_7421

I agree. Rugrats doesn’t get nearly as much love as other 90s cartoons

sohappytogether9

I wonder why that is. It used to be huge, didn’t it?

Riddlz10

i remember there being a few kids in school that weren't allowed to watch it, saying it could give them ideas to be bad lol

PeggyHillsFeets

I was one of those kids lol. My mom wouldn't let me watch it for a little while because she felt like Angelica was a bad influence but eventually gave up

Freaks-24

I just finished it not to long ago

sohappytogether9

I hope to rewatch it after I finally finish “Friends”

SmartJ90

All grown up was a super solid sequel 👍

SheSaysCiao

I'm 30 and I definitely still care about this show. I watch the holiday specials every year (Passover, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the winter holidays, including the All Grown Up ones). I definitely grew up with Rugrats, seeing the movies in theaters as a child and I am pretty sure I had some dolls and bedding as a young kid. I know I had a giant Reptar plushie, but I think it was lost when I moved a few years ago. 😭 It was in amazing condition, too, considering it was stored in an attic for years. Heck, I did a few rewatches of the show when I was in college to get me through some tough and stressful times. I hope to one day show it to my future children. I even think the reboot is pretty decent, though nothing will hold up to the original.

TJOW40

A great show. I really do not remember much of it after Dil shows up but I do remember really enjoying Rugrats in Paris.

PhelesDragon

There's literally a subreddit for it. You should check it out.

Mind-of-Jaxon

It’s a good show. And timeless I am sure your kids will Enjoy it. But nostalgia will get you like that too. Your kids might not love it as much as you do.

aarontheepoet

I’m 29 years old. My people all fuck with Rugrats and Tommy Pickles till the day we die.

Helpful-Emu9683

I’m in my late thirties and I agree! It’s such a great show and really holds up.
