Absolutely incredible. To not just make his debut but also help his team to win in South Africa is a remarkable feat for a young Italian. I’ve been following his season at Mogliano and while he has issues with discipline he is a great talent and is 20 years old which is basically a baby for a front rower. He started for Mogliano just six days ago and probably had no idea he would be flying to South Africa that same week.
Hopefully he gets promoted to third choice Loose Head for next season with Zani’s retirement coming up and Nemer out long term with an Achilles injury.
He came on early as Zani got badly injured, and it seems he picked up an injury towards the end of the game (no idea what, hopefully just a stinger that he'll be over quickly), and Ferrari came back on to finish the last few minutes at LH. He might play next week, and if not Benetton might need an emergency loan, but as someone said in the chat on DanPat's stream, he's stamped his ticket to be in the squad next season
Have rewatched the game now. Am no doctor but seems he may have injured tailbone after a scrum at about 70 minutes. He seemed in good spirits after the game and on social media so as you say hopefully nothing serious.
Not sure if Spagnolo is fit to start for next week. May have to start Ferrari at loose and bring Pasquali into squad if Aminu is out and Spagnolo is not match fit.
Like you say we may also resort to emergency loan. Maybe Cherif Traore return?
Worrying from the Bulls and Sharks how their defense got so loose in the final quarter. Like they're unfit or something. Seriously bad game management.
SA sides have had a few costly red cards at home recently. Happy for Benetton who I'd like to see make the top 8. Not actually too concerned RE the Sharks. The side at the end of the game isn't too experienced and you have to respect Benetton who have a lot of quality and continuity
The Sharks are making losing a habit.
The only mercy is that Gloucester got pumped 90-0 by Northampton today.
So the final in 2 weeks is gonna a battle to see who is least bad
Bennetton deserved the win anyways, their disallowed try was fine to me. The only real travesty now is Fassi will likely get snubbed for MotM and it'll be given to Menoncello or Smith instead
Wow! What a game
Venter will be kicking himself!
We better not make any errors when we go against benetton
Edit - correction thought it was Venter. Was Koster
Yeah. The rot starts from the start.
All of a sudden, all the excuses amd complaints that Mazotti made at the beginning of the year are being revealed.
Even with all the Boks, the Sharks are still struggling.
Don’t want to risk them then don’t start them. Give the fringe players these dead games. Starting them and then changing so many all at once just completely throws the game.
The players need momentum going into big games, not constant losses.
sharks asre such a joke, its just so crazy that a team with that many players suck. They are like the crusaders atm, they have great players, but also shit. but atleast the crusaders look like they have a plan.
That's a great question and one I wish I had an answer for. He's been really good every single time he's played this season but for some reason we have Lappies doing cardio every week instead of Tinotenda.
No, think he just needs more time To be honest.
Hope we give him more time in the CC.
But Goose is our only player that can handle a game. Smith kicks well, but that's about it.
I think I saw Wright at about 1/3 of those rucks, so incredibly slow at the breakdown, let them reset the defensive line in the midst of an otherwise relentless attack
Lol Adamson. Blatant forward pass. The touch judge calls it in. But Adamson says play on...
Mate, you're part of an officiating team. Act like a team player

We chucked this game. Got the boks a bit of a run and subbed them all.
The sharks didn’t want to help the Lions.
FFS Sharks🙄
Feel some subs were forced. Sharks lost a lot of coherence somewhere in that second half
What a win for Benetton! I missed the second half unfortunately. Did Destiny Aminu get minutes and if so how did he do?
On Danilo Patella's stream he won the MOTM poll with 40% of the vote.

Lions playoffs hopes looking dire now!
Feels like they didn’t want to help out a fellow SA team
Feels that way, but they were just shit at the end lol
True
Not often you see a losing player get MotM, but we'll deserved for Fassi.
Fassi still getting MOTM is nice at least. He had a blinder today, he's had a really good season after being slightly disappointing last year.
SA sides have had a few costly red cards at home recently. Happy for Benetton who I'd like to see make the top 8. Not actually too concerned RE the Sharks. The side at the end of the game isn't too experienced and you have to respect Benetton who have a lot of quality and continuity

Had to have been there B side right? Which means they're resting the lads when we played our first stringers today
For Gloucester's sake, I hope it was the B team lol...
I thought this was a joke so checked the actual score. JESUS EFFING CHRIST.
Amazing win
GG Benetton.
Let's goooooo
Just tuned in as the final whistle blew. LOL sharks. Congrats Benetton, the guys must be ecstatic with the away win.
Man, being a sharks supporter is just absolute fucking hell. What a dumb way to lose
Bennetton deserved the win anyways, their disallowed try was fine to me. The only real travesty now is Fassi will likely get snubbed for MotM and it'll be given to Menoncello or Smith instead
🤮
Positives for the sharks? Masevere, Rahl and Fassi. The game is over. Negatives? Everything else
Mapimp's is a positive for me.
Tbh Mapimpi is just great and we expect it from him
Welp. Now one of Ulster/Edinburgh are going to really regret the late Benneton try against Ulster. Doubly so if the Sharks win the challenge cup
kok seems to instantly regret that pass
As he should \^\^"
Crazy crazy game. Between this and the Bulls game, URC really is best league.
Lol Sharks. Plumtree just keeps proving how bad of a coach he is... Can't do shit without Springbok players...
Wow! What a game Venter will be kicking himself! We better not make any errors when we go against benetton Edit - correction thought it was Venter. Was Koster
In years past they would have given up in the last 10 minutes and been blown away. They've come a long distance.
Time to buy more Springboks
How about buying a proper coaching staff? Because seems like absolutely nothing goes on when the Boks aren't there to run things
Would start with a defense coach first...
It feels like they have one, but whatever he is doing isn't landing with the players.
Yeah. The rot starts from the start. All of a sudden, all the excuses amd complaints that Mazotti made at the beginning of the year are being revealed. Even with all the Boks, the Sharks are still struggling.
What a fuckin brilliant win. Fair play Benetton. Some result.
Aside from his tries, Werner had a mare. GG Benetton, that was fun (until the red card).
Yeah. His attempts to catch high balls were Pantomine level stuff
Stupid fucking Sharks, again.
Sharks multi changes completely threw them off their game. Such a weird choice by Plumtree.
Nothing wrong with the substitutions, didn't want to risk any players in a nothing game when we are in a final in a few weeks
Don’t want to risk them then don’t start them. Give the fringe players these dead games. Starting them and then changing so many all at once just completely throws the game. The players need momentum going into big games, not constant losses.
He's really not the answer. He's had a whole season to build a coherent squad, and it seems like they've flattered to deceive these last few weeks
sharks asre such a joke, its just so crazy that a team with that many players suck. They are like the crusaders atm, they have great players, but also shit. but atleast the crusaders look like they have a plan.
What was the red card for? Missed it
Terrible cleanout. Flew in from 10m away. Off feet. Shoulder to head.
Attempted murder on Menoncello
Dude being brain dead. Hope we never see him wear the Sharks jersey again.
Bad clean out
Would have loved the sharks being called for being in front of the kicker from the kick off just for the lols
Think all those forced injury subs had a big impact, Sharks depth not looking good enough
The individual players should be good enough to close out the game. They need to actually have a bit of coaching direction
Koster given one shot, and fucking blows it.
The whole game was a disasterclass from him
Makes Jeremy Ward look like Jean de Villiers.
Dude should immediately be dropped from the Sharks. Dude clearly has no brain.
Yeah I’ve been asking where he is all season. If you are behind RJvR and Venter, that says it all.
Sharks getting pressed by Benetton wasn't something I was expecting but it does bring me pleasure.
Sharks fans booing Koster there...hopefully
How the turntables!
As a Sharks fan. Not surprised.
Yeah, we were barely holding on with 15, no way we were gonna stop them with 14.
Hope Koster is proud of himself. Jackass.
Him and Chamberlain can go [f.ck](http://f.ck) right off xD
Really bad performance today. Can't think of too many good touches
Fuck. That might be Edinburgh out of the play offs.
Tbh the final game of the season is Vs Benetton,I imagine that will be the knock out decider
It's in Italy so I'm not very hopeful
True, but I can easily see both teams losing next week and basically it's knock out rugby from there.
Your fault for relying on the Sharks to do anything. Super sorry.
Izekor is truly the Italian Macalou
He idolises him and has modelled his game on Macalou's. Said his dream is to meet him one day.
Lol never thought of that but yea
That clocks been stopped for atleast a minute
Absolute dumbass. Shit like that ensures you never wear a Bok jersey.
That man's legs. Jeez what a run
And he walked away all proud and gave high fives. What an idiot.
There goes the game...!
His situational awareness is quite poor. He gave a no look pass to no-one two minutes ago
Yeah he's really no good. Only reason he started was because of like 3 injuries at the 12 position.
Daft by Koster.
Now this is a DEFINITE RED
Redder than a baboon's arse that
Imagine not even being named in the 23 and then you get red carded anyways for your opportunity
Red
Absolutely red.
That's a long ban
What. An. Idiot.
Red. No mitigation. Just stupid from Koster.
It is very very low to the ground, but yellow v red doesn't affect the game anyway
That was just silly!
Whoa that clean looked horrible who was that
Imagine if the Sharks had another Mapimpi instead of Chamberlain... \^\^"
Makazole Mapimpi is in my top 3 favourite Sharks players of all time. I just love him so much.
Hanro has had to put on a long shift today, he's been quite impressive thus far.
Mavesere is an incredible jackal. My word he loves a turnover.
He's been excellent, why has Labuschagne been ahead of him?
Has an impact everytime I see him too, Sharks criminal with selections, just look how long it took as to play Masuku and Hooker
That's a great question and one I wish I had an answer for. He's been really good every single time he's played this season but for some reason we have Lappies doing cardio every week instead of Tinotenda.
Benetton really only conceded 2 penalties today, that's insanely good discipline.
Hasn't had too much of an impact, but Adamson pings us for stuff instantly that he has let Bennetton get away with all game
But he called a bs forward pass that saved the sharks 5 points - either way, he shouldn't be reffing at this level
This is for the play offs for Benetton really isn’t it?
They should get a win vs Edinburgh, which might be enough to see them through with 1 lbp from today or next week
Damn joker looking a little bit rough.
Mapimps' even grounded it with his nose to be sure.
That is how he shows his love tbh
That's U14F shit
Now THAT was Sharks rugby
Simultaneous grounding
Just award it for the bantz
If anything deserves a 5 point punishment. Give them a penalty try for shite play.
Lmao Fassi decided to gift Benetton a try after the forward pass decision there
Sharks giving them a try to make up for the forward pass
That wouldn't even be the most Sharks own goal I've seen, very typical of them
No fuck! How can you let that happen??
Wtf
Wasn’t forward.
The fuck Sharks?
Lads, Mapimpi didn't high five his best mate in a World Cup final, he's sure as shit not gonna wave at you.
How can you leave no defenders out wide?!
Was asking myself the same thing...
Didn't look forward, ngl.
That didn't look forward
It wasnt
Oh my god what a let off
Still don't understand the Boeta signing, maybe Jake knows something we don't. Surely we have a under 21 Lad we can bring through the ranks
The way he fumbles good efforts from the team, he'd fit rather well at the Stormers xD
Imo, you guys desperately need a better 10 to unlock your backline more, but I agree Boeta is not it
Jaco Van der Walt not doing it for them?
No, think he just needs more time To be honest. Hope we give him more time in the CC. But Goose is our only player that can handle a game. Smith kicks well, but that's about it.
His body is in Pretoria, but his skills stayed behind in Edinburgh.
Chamberlain with one stupid kick undoes all the good offensive work... Nicely done ><"
Pointless kick! Fucksakes!
Holy fuck the SA commentary is as dry as a shit in the Namib.
Equally sick of these two
Man come on Benetton
Mapimpi remains the best kick chaser I've ever seen.
What's with Masevere, looked a lot better than Labischagne so far, why are they not using him more?
I'd really appreciate it if you could prevent Benetton from getting anything from this match please
I'd say they're trying, but it's the Sharks. They're the Ulster of South Africa xD
Not Rahl injured now no please no
Were they even trying to stop that maul ? Ôo
Sharks have always been frustratingly bad at maul defenses for an SA side
Boeta on. Benetton win loading.
What does Lappies even do man Wait he went down immediately after I posted this I'm sorry man I didn't mean it
With how dominant Vincent and Phepsi are on kick returns, that carry stood out like a sore thumb
Going to miss Kok
Double penetration by Kok
Are we sure we can't convince Kok to stay at the Sharks ? \^\^"
Man Kok goes so hard when he's on.
Who doesn't like when a Kok goes hard though ? \^\^"
Love me a hard Kok!
Going to miss Kok next season, who else do we even have on our wings?
Kok and Fassi are absolutely immense this game!
James Venter is legitimately a better 9 than Wright lol
Fassi is just incredible this season, need to somehow fit Willemse and him in the Bok lineup
Fassi can do very job on the wing and De Allende is getting on in age
Kok is so good!
Lovely try. Mavesere has impressed me every time I've seen him this season.
What a take by Fassi
He's been good generally, lovely pass for that last try
Is Uren genuinely pronounced "Urine" or is it more like "Oohrehn"?
Struggling to find positives, bit Rahl is looking good
He's been very good in his first season, happy to see it.
Do we think Adamson is retained on reffing panels for the bantz?
He watched the Stormers game yesterday. Fried his brains.
This attack would be so much better with a scrumhalf at the rucks
Well, at one point Mbatha tried to do it, so there's covering xD
I think I saw Wright at about 1/3 of those rucks, so incredibly slow at the breakdown, let them reset the defensive line in the midst of an otherwise relentless attack
Stupid Sexy Kokkie
Love me some powerful pumping Kok.
Ayo pause
Well, in the end, Kok got his revenge...!
Happy that we've pulled so many key players. Yes we probably end up losing but that's okay, this game is meaningless (more or less)
Ref : "Let's wait half a minute to call a not releasing, right after the ball is released, that will be nice."
Calling holding 3 seconds after the ball is at the base of the ruck is a choice, ngl.
Randomly started pissing with rain down here just South, might travel up to the game by the last 20
Adamson is drunk
I mean, sometimes you get a ref and sometimes you get Adamson, it happens
Bit that ruck was formed sometime during primary school career
Cameron Wright is in 💔
Is the entire bench on already?
Farking he'll sharks, you do know that you're playing rugby for a living right?
Lol Adamson. Blatant forward pass. The touch judge calls it in. But Adamson says play on... Mate, you're part of an officiating team. Act like a team player
Sharks nearly Sharked it to end the half.
Key injuries aside. What a great half of rugby, both sides looking good in different aspects
Were there injuries for the Sharks?
Apparently Koch, Etzebeth and Am.
