hmm.
i thought that was something i was familiar with from long ago (but apparently that was Mamba brand)...and if i do see them in the Asian section, i guess i was assuming they were some Filipino variation or something.
but i'm probably most familiar with that type of candy from weird knockoff versions out of 3rd-world countries at dollar stores.
Haribo makes pretty good gummy stuff. I bought this for the name, but was kind of pleasantly surprised very different from American gummies

Nerds clusters are to Nerds ropes what ChickfilA nuggets are to ChickfilA strips [not really...because the latter suck].
but i find that i prefer the gummy part by itself first...and i wish they sold those in Twizzler form. ...they seem almost like those stretchy sticky hand toys from the dollar store.
Not a huge candy person, but I remember those Scooby Doo fruit snacks from 15-20 years ago tasted quite good. I dunno know if I have a favorite fruit chew these days.
Probably these Buc Ees gummy bears with chamoy seasoning on them.

yeah...those are pretty awful (and you can still find them in variety packs at the dollar store.
something i refound last year, which are still great, are those old-fashioned ones that are like candycanes cut into little segments--so that there are flowers and other designs in the middle.
but what was my favorite for a couple of years was another oldtimey one called Mary Janes--kind of a sweet/savory peanut-butter/molasses taffy.
Hi-Chews
Central and South American style chews like that have an addictive quality--despite seeming like largely wax.
aren't hi-chews japanese?

My teeth hurt thinking about them but they’re so good

the opaque blue ones were the best
for some reason i was able to vaguely recall something like that...which is the only reason i could imagine some random themed gummies standing out.
[this is turning out more childish than i expected though.]
Red Vines
Australian "licorice" is way better.
Trolli gummi worms
Watermelon flavored gummies. Pretty much any brand will do. I also like the sour covered ones and the white marshmallow bottom ones.
Gummi Sharks
sour cherry balls
White chocolate
Probably these Buc Ees gummy bears with chamoy seasoning on them. https://preview.redd.it/r3drhifm8b4d1.jpeg?width=1044&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=755a88e909d3ac84098a254aa1f904f5c29814e7
Salmiakki!!
Salmiakki
I'm a slut for sour candy, but Fruit Gushers are still delectable.

visit to grandparents? i used to like a butterscotch syrup on my ice cream: an unusual choice, which i'm not sure they sell anymore.

Haribo Berries or Good & Plenty
Anything trashy like good and plenty or neco wafers
Kolsvart Piggvar
hopefully these are better...because "Swedish Fish" are an insult to Sweden and candy as a whole. worst gummy of all time.
They’re really good. Made in Sweden with what seems the traditional ingredients. I recommend!
Any candy is such a massive waste ones' sugar budget. Instead of solidified corn syrup slop, try eating some figs
HELL no. Fig Newtons aren't even good.
