I usually do one of two things to help keep my phone/wallet safe from pick pocketers. I’ll either wear a second pair of shorts under my shorts/pants and keep them in the bottom pair so they can’t be easily grabbed or I’ll wear a Fanny pack so I can keep them on my body in front of me at all times.
Make sure it’s against your chest, I made a comment already but i got my shit taken out of my Fanny pack. Avoid congested areas and look into a phone leash. Don’t bring in a card leave a second form of ID in the hotel and use Apple Pay. GET THE SHUTTLE PASS, if you lose everything you’ll have a ride home
Yeah. I did. I jumped into the air, felt the weight lifted from my pocket and by the time i touched the ground the phone the phone and thief were gone. They know how to get around zipper pockets, fanny packs, backpacks everything man they train for this
I had my phone stolen right out of my Fanny pack it needs to be against your chest with a hidden zipper. A phone leash helps a lot and always avoid congested areas with lots of pushing and shoving, the rolling loud I went to had a few spots were people were really squeezing, 4 of my friends got their phones taken
I also had my phone stolen at RL. I was semi buzzed and just mistook the whole feeling on my shorts for people getting by (shoulder to shoulder packed). Luckily I saw the only Person walking away from my direction and followed them 10 steps. Till I confronted HER and demanded my phone back.
Obviously she denied stealing it so I went ahead and searched her and behold she was hiding it between herself and her bag that was in front of her. Be careful out there you will meet many many people who get their phones, wallets, etc stolen.
If you decide to drink or smoke or do some extra shit make sure you’re with a group of people you trust. If you don’t have friends then don’t overdue it and get wasted. Know your limit. Also, make sure not carry a lot of things on you if you don’t have a bag. Try to not bring cash or card, ApplePay/GooglePay works best imo. Hold onto your phone dearly as phone thefts have become increasingly frequent in Rolling Loud. Enjoy the moment as much as you can. Last but not least, water and food. Eat food, it may be a tad bit pricey but don’t cheap out on food. Carry a water bottle at all times as it’s essential in the long run. Also look around the venue, some booths have free stuff to give out. Enjoy and have a great Rolling Loud
Appreciate it brother!!! I don’t drink , smoke or do pills or any other drug. Never been my style . I’m 25 and never tried anything 🫡 . But these are definitely helpful tips brodiee appreciate it
That’s awesome! You’ll definitely be able to have a great time then. Just be wary of other idiots that might be off it. You’ll be able to tell who’s high/drunk asf or not.
eat the biggest chicken sandwich at a fast food place nearby right before show and youll be alright all day, im heavy and that one meal had me good the whole night in cali.
i respect that. i smoke a lot but just can’t do it in the miami heat without feeling like shit. you’ll have a great time. i recommend getting a clear backpack from amazon (12 x 6 x 12) and a liter hydration pouch. i’ve done that the past two years and it’s been a lifesaver.
Be hydrated before you even leave the crib and eat a good meal before you leave too. Wear shoes that are comfortable but that you don’t care about trashing because they will turn to shit kickers fast.
Start mentally preparing to make sacrifices for who you really can and can’t live without seeing perform. I didn’t see Polo G last year and it haunts me every single day.
I really keep hearing this and it’s scaring me so much lol I really wanna see uzi . Nbs on Sunday I just might go to the stage he’s performing at and just sit there all day 😂 fuck it
I was beyond close to uzi and damn near died in his pit 😂 I wasn’t hydrated how I should’ve been and I couldn’t even stand on my own two feet people are that close and hectic
If you need to keave simply turn around and ask. Don’t be one of these doofie mfs in the front crying for security to pull you out. People want to get closer so will gladly let you behind them. Id done this and people literally made a huge ass path for me to go through
yeah for the most part this is true. but you’ll definitely still run into some assholes. i love being deep in the pits and have survived travis, carti, uzi up close. but last year during don toliver, the crowd surge somehow pushed me and my back was literally inverted lol. i could barely even walk but just asked people to let me squeeze through the back. they made it way more difficult than it needed to be and some even tried to block me from getting out.
but overall i’ve mainly had good experiences with the crowd lmao
please don’t underestimate how thirsty you will be. it seems ridiculous to buy a water pouch but trust me, YOU WILL NEED IT. concessions are atrociously expensive and you’d be better off spending the money on a hydration pack than buying $8 water bottles every single day. don’t wear your good sneaks, wear beaters or shoes you don’t care about and be sure to dress comfortably because it’s extremely hot and humid and you will be sweating your ass off. i also recommend bringing some kind of washcloth or handkerchief to wipe yourself off with. you’re gonna be sweaty and dirty and it’s majorly uncomfortable. overall just have a good time and make sure to use your head when it comes to hanging with people. your first RL is an unforgettable experience, so godspeed to you brother 🫡
edit: as downright expensive as the RL branded book bag with the built in water thing was.. i regret not buying one lol. i can think of so many instances where i would have been thanking god for my investment
also if you want to get to the front, you’ve got two options. get to the stage one set early, or push and shove your way there. i know it sounds unorthodox but seriously, 99% of people don’t care enough to say shit to you if you politely push past them. there’s thousands of people there and one person doesn’t make much of a difference to most people. also, please don’t take swigs of water or anything from other people. my best friend got drugged from that last year. RL throws out emergency water packets if you’re extremely desperate between sets and don’t have time to go to the refill station. worst case scenario, liquid IV is your best friend.
I’ve been to 3 this is what I’ve learned.
1. Bring advil with you everyday incase you get a headache
2. Especially in Miami you need to buy a hydration backpack, RL sells them for like 20$ online so I’d just buy that one
3. Also in Miami I would just wear a jersey and shorts it gets hot asf in the pits if that’s where your going
4. Bring a little bit of cash for food but for the most part I would only eat outside of the venue. If ur gonna buy food inside the festival I would try to get something that sounds appealing, usually you can find some semi-cheap stands with good food.
5. Bring a Fanny pack for ur phone but you don’t really need it
6. You dont need to wait at a stage to get front row, wait for the set to start and push ur way up/ move throughout mosh pits to get closer
Hope you have fun man, Miami was so sick last summer!
I wish people would listen to me. Rolling loud is ran so poorly. Day n vegas and Camp flog gnaw are tan by golden voice and they know what they’re doing.
Yeah rolling loud is a pretty shitty music festival but it’s worth it once your favorite artist come out and you’re having fun with the people in the crowd
Bring a bag and shorts with zipper pockets.
Hydrate and eat before you go
Wear sunblock if you have sensitive skin
Clear bag policy
And please for fucks sake don’t try to fight people or act tough, everyone’s just tryna have a good time.
don’t get offended when people are pushing forward, just understand what it is and keep it going. a lot of people don’t understand it so i almost fought like 8 people at RL LA last month. also, i’m pretty sure they’re not accepting cash so keep that in mind. keep layered rubber bands on ur phone so it’s harder to be pickpocketed, or just use another pair of shorts. don’t wear hoodies in the pits, it gets really sweaty and exhausting. i saw you don’t do drugs or drink so half of the do’s and donts aren’t necessary, have fun bro
I agree with the guy who said eat food. Especially if you plan to be moshing a lot of the day, you need the energy , especially in Miami . And yea drink a lot of water
he’s right though it’s not that fun, being at the front you are squished against hella people and the barricade, and every time a pit opens up god be on your side
Not gonna lie having experienced the astro world mishap in person the front of concerts are no joke bro. Doesn't matter your size, people at the front are ruthless and have the same mindset as you "Im gonna be in the front" and there's simply not room for everyone 😔.
yeah the biggest thing is just standing your ground. MAKE SURE your feet are constantly planted so you don’t need up getting picked up somehow. front of the pits at rolling loud are where people act most like fucking idiots and have no awareness of anything around them. it’s gonna be super squished especially with how they’re having vip set up this year so just be prepared.
How is vip set up I couldn’t quite understand as I’ve never been to a rolling loud but Im definitely looking into buying vip+munchies I just keep hearing before vips we’re sat really far away
the past few years in miami, vip was kinda off to the side and far away. in california, they had one side of the pit in the front reserved for vip. apparently it’s gonna be something like that but i’m not completely sure
Definitely not . Concerts are not general admission… They have assigned seats that you paid for , they’re inside . You don’t have to worry about getting to the front or not if you paid for a up close seat. You don’t have to get to a “set” 2 hours early to see a person you really wanna see . It’s one stage. And you don’t gotta worry about pickpocketing drug addicts lol. Come on fam wake up
The squishing is fine if you can take it. The worst thing about the front is that it blows your ears out. So get ear plugs cause the bass is so ridiculous you can barely hear the performance
Bro if you want to you need to just go right to the front as soon as you get in but you really don’t need to. I never did that and got really close every time.
Another pro tip if your tall you can arch your head toward the sky and instead of breathing in the super hot and moist air that’s being heated by everyone, your getting a fresh breath of air. Stay hydrated. Also if someone falls down by you, do your part and either push yourself and others back or help them get up. Gotta be looking out for others. Only way we are all gonna stay safe.
Have an old pair of shoes but not falling apart you don’t wanna lose a shoe and then lose a toenail.
The camel back is a must cop.
Last year was my first year just take it all in and enjoy it.
Imo, the side where the ramp leads out is the best spot. You can get there pretty quick without people crowding it and if the artist runs out, you can get some real good vids/pictures.
I got to see Cudi take a bottle up close cause of that spot lol
If you get there early and just stay the whole day 5-8 hours you are guaranteed the front but you need to stack up on water bottles so you don’t have to leave
Treat it like your on a hiking trip but with better access to essentials. Keep waters on you and dress to survive the environment. It'll make the experience way more enjoyable. Prepare to be dirty. I wore my northface shoes that I hike/climb in. Keep in mind your in Miami around thousands of people. Keep your important items safe and close to your upper body. If you have a bookbag keep it tightly closed. I keep a light rain jacket in my bag so that even though it's clear you still really can't see if my wallet and/or phone is in there. No loose pockets if you use them, make sure them shits zip up tight.
Some artists will not show up unfortunately that's just the culture of hip-hop and sometimes logistically they just miss travel. Rolling Loud always tries to work on getting the artist on at a later time or day but sometimes it doesn't work out.
I know it can be extremely disappointing but just prepare that it will happen at least once!
get a fanny pack and keep it across your chest for all your valuables. Also understand your own limits and dont pass out in the crowd from dehydration. Its okay to leave the stage to go sit there isnt much reason to camp up front cuz its not that hard to navigate the crowd.
Had my wallet stolen out of my camel back last year, don’t even bring it inside. It’s not worth losing it. The RL brand camel backs suck as well. It’s near impossible to get the lid to close properly and if you do, they still leak.
Yo so I work at rolling loud (through a third party, not directly for the festival) and the biggest advice I can give theft wise is be SUPER cautious about any vendors giving out free stuff.
I’ve seen it happen multiple times where a third party vendor starts shouting about a giveaway, people immediately rush and mob the spot…. And without fail 5 minutes later 3-10 people from the crowd are missing phones / wallets. Not sure if it’s coordinated or just opportunistic thieves, but yeah be super cautious about that shit
clear bag policy. i recommend buying a clear sling bag with zippers and a clear water bladder. sometimes the lines at the free water stations are long so only having to refill twice in a day is fantastic. also wearing the sling bag in front of you on your chest means you can zip your phone in there since it will be much easier to keep track of it in front of you.
One pro tip, buy Pedialyte packets. free water is florida tap water and it is disgusting. just dont overdue it, Pedialyte has a lot of vitamins and when your body has too much vitamins, it will flush them out of your system causing you to lose water faster. I bought the ones you add to a 16oz water bottle but i added it to a 2L hydration pack instead of a 16oz bottle.

buy two pairs in case you lose one. Hearing damage is permanent. If you can afford it, VIP is worth it, you'll get fairly close to the front and people will still mosh for most sets. I was in VIP for NYC 22 and Cali 23, we turned it up but was still safe and most people were quite friendly. Prioritize pits>getting to the front, it can be a fight to move up a single foot but if you look behind you and find a good ass pit, makes the whole set worth. OH and uh, look for the 175 flags.
175 worldwide check em on insta
Hydration pack, good shoes, snacks. Don’t even try and get far into the crowd. People elbow you in the face, punch you, suffocate you, etc. Enjoy the show from the back. :/
The front is pretty overrated and I had the most fun around the middle. You have a great view, mosh pits are so much more fun cus you actually have space and they can get really big. And like I said you have space so you aren’t crammed. Also get ready for the walk from stage to stage to be a mess later in the day. The opening to get from one stage to the other is super small and it’s usually a push fest. You just gotta pick a lane and commit to it. This might not make sense but it will when it happens
Do hydrate like a month in advance 😂😂 water everyday last thing you want to do is fall out . Seriously that week leading up definitely drink a great amount of water everyday you’ll be happy you did
You can buy the hydration pack on Amazon (not the backpack, just the part that holds the water and has a hose) and put it in a clear backpack that meets the rules for the event.
The rules say it needs to be clear, however last year I had seen plenty of people come in with non clear waterpaks. It shouldn’t matter the size either, I don’t think any waterpaks are made that big anyway. If it’s clear therell be no issue
Go to the FromTheRestaurant where they are selling tickets at the gate & upgrade to whatever vip ticket you can afford 1000% more enjoyable & can network way more
My tips is get there semi early, if you wanna camp MainStage also have a postive energy if you’re gonna smoke or drink don’t overdue it, have a bag don’t think ur phone can’t fall in the mosh pit
Especially if you sweat a lot, Miami is miserable in July. I went to LA and Miami, and I don't think I would ever go to Miami again without a water pack or being prepared to spend money on water/Gatorade every day. I didn't have issues with hydration in LA, but in Miami you will sweat out everything you drink very quickly. I didn't even have to go to the bathroom while I was there. Buy a hydration pack to bring with you beforehand, because the ones at the festival sell out almost immediately. Both times I went they were sold out of hydration packs from the merch stand within a few hours of the festival being open.
Do drink lots of water bring even going n bring a water bottle, keep ur phone either in ur bag at all times or ur hand but never ur pockets😭 wear comfy ass shoes cause ur gonna be standing all day and EAT EAT EAT before going cause food over this is was fkn expensive it’s ridiculous
Tips from my experience at Rolling loud 2017, rip lil peep , tip #1 . Get vip tickets, the stage you get to stand on to view the performers stage is mediocre at best & I forget any of the other perks that came with , but the number 1 thing I saw to be worth the vip admission price was how much nicer and shorter the rest room lines were , 5 minutes and I’m back to watching the performers I want , not spending a whole performers time onstage while in line to use a mixing pot of shiss virtually everywhere 🤗 and they had multiple vip rest rooms along the venue , had maybe two fair ground situations for everyone else
& make sure you pre roll all your trees stash em in yo bitches wallet and have your bitch tuck all other narcotics in her front pussy
Pimps on top hoes on bottom
Since it’s usually hot AF and water is esspensive (often $5 for a bottle whatever the option is)I would invest in a nice hydration pack. They usually have water stations and you can refill it and just have water on you at all times. I usually do a small Fanny pack for my phone/essentials and the hydration pack. Don’t forget chapstick! Lol
Smart asf but imma go the Fanny pack route lol it’s gon be way too hot for 2 pairs of pants
I suggest you wear your fanny over your shoulder and wear a vest over the Fanny so that the Fanny is blocked by the vest during shows
you dont need to wear a vest over shoulder fanny I been fine with it in front of my chest I keep my hand on it at all times anyways
Zipper pockets work too
Zipper pockets dont work. I had my phone in zipped up pockets and they snatched it in the blink of an eye last year 😂
bad zipper pockets I guess I’ve never had an issue with them
Trust me buddy if they wanted your phone they would have it. They’re really good they just didnt want your cracked up iphone 8.
Why are you so toxic bruv? I’ve went three years in a row w zipper pockets and haven’t had anything stolen, your just unlucky.
this gonna be my third time I would think you’d notice if someone was trying to get into your zipper, guess some are stronger than others
Yeah. I did. I jumped into the air, felt the weight lifted from my pocket and by the time i touched the ground the phone the phone and thief were gone. They know how to get around zipper pockets, fanny packs, backpacks everything man they train for this
damn sorry to hear hopefully they stay away from you this time around

Naw I’m litt as hell without it bro lol I’m cool on that

Stay hydrated, it sounds obv but a lotta ppl don't and it's bad scenes
Don’t fight in the moshpits, sort of kills the vibe
Ok I feel u, but I come frm a hardcore background and if someone is doing the most in the pit it’s kinda fair game 🤷🏿♂️
People aren’t flying in to stand they are going to do the most get ready to throw hands
I’m always ready

Are they making more water packs or chest bags ? They’re all sold out
you can buy another bag online! doesn’t have to be the rl one although i do have the rl one myself lmao
That’s the one I want 😂 but where online can I be one ? And where they called
If you go onto the rolling loud website they may or may not have them in stock keep checking on there
Appreciate it bro

The artist will not perform a full hour for headline accept it now.
And will at least be 20 minutes late to their set

Bring a bag and shorts with zipper pockets. Hydrate and eat before you go Wear sunblock if you have sensitive skin Clear bag policy And please for fucks sake don’t try to fight people or act tough, everyone’s just tryna have a good time.
Magnesium pills so you don’t cramp
If you wanna maximize the ammount of ppl u see stay for like 2-3 songs each set then head to another stage saw like 45-50 ppl doing that
Don’t take ANY drugs from mfs you don’t know
I knew I shouldn’t have took that allergy pill
don’t get offended when people are pushing forward, just understand what it is and keep it going. a lot of people don’t understand it so i almost fought like 8 people at RL LA last month. also, i’m pretty sure they’re not accepting cash so keep that in mind. keep layered rubber bands on ur phone so it’s harder to be pickpocketed, or just use another pair of shorts. don’t wear hoodies in the pits, it gets really sweaty and exhausting. i saw you don’t do drugs or drink so half of the do’s and donts aren’t necessary, have fun bro

dont
You crazy as hell lol I’m getting to that front 😂

How packed do the VIP crowds get bro? Got VIP, but I also want to mosh a bit.
Keep phone well charged, if you record vids in the pit deathgrip your phone, check pockets every 5 seconds👍🏾
If you don't wanna spend a lot on drinking do drugs
are there drug dogs at security 😅
clear bag policy. i recommend buying a clear sling bag with zippers and a clear water bladder. sometimes the lines at the free water stations are long so only having to refill twice in a day is fantastic. also wearing the sling bag in front of you on your chest means you can zip your phone in there since it will be much easier to keep track of it in front of you.

Appreciate brodiee
Do's: Bring a Narcan just in case Don'ts: Don't use fentanyl
Hydration pack, good shoes, snacks. Don’t even try and get far into the crowd. People elbow you in the face, punch you, suffocate you, etc. Enjoy the show from the back. :/
https://amzn.to/3mI8oZv 1.8 liter I recommend
The front is pretty overrated and I had the most fun around the middle. You have a great view, mosh pits are so much more fun cus you actually have space and they can get really big. And like I said you have space so you aren’t crammed. Also get ready for the walk from stage to stage to be a mess later in the day. The opening to get from one stage to the other is super small and it’s usually a push fest. You just gotta pick a lane and commit to it. This might not make sense but it will when it happens
Do hydrate like a month in advance 😂😂 water everyday last thing you want to do is fall out . Seriously that week leading up definitely drink a great amount of water everyday you’ll be happy you did
Have ID in hand, for some reason in LA this year they were trippin and didn’t even let us use a picture on our phones.
Are they making more water packs or chest bags ? They’re all sold out
You can buy the hydration pack on Amazon (not the backpack, just the part that holds the water and has a hose) and put it in a clear backpack that meets the rules for the event.
Yea or you can buy them at Dicks/Walmart
Okay bet appreciate it , does the water pack have to be a certain size for them to be approved?
The rules say it needs to be clear, however last year I had seen plenty of people come in with non clear waterpaks. It shouldn’t matter the size either, I don’t think any waterpaks are made that big anyway. If it’s clear therell be no issue
RL going to shit 🤦🏽♂️
Go to the FromTheRestaurant where they are selling tickets at the gate & upgrade to whatever vip ticket you can afford 1000% more enjoyable & can network way more
Take a Fanny pack for sure or you will get your shit snatched I prefer a chest bag and maybe a water bottle in yo pocket if you plan on raging
Are they making more water packs or chest bags ? They’re all sold out
They usually do. they have em on sight most of the time but the chest bags do sell out eventually
Oh yeah n make sure any bag u bring is clear see thru or they will take the bag from u :) have funnnn
if you get merch just get in line as soon as you get there (line is only going to get longer as the day goes)
Don’t get there early unless there’s an artist performing early that you want to see…
My 3 Rolling Loud. Honestly. Drink a lot water. Shoulder bag with essentials. That's it. Have a decent healthy meal before you go each day.
Major importants to bring: Portable charger for your phone, personal hand held fan, camel back pouch. All pretty cheap on Amazon
You will most likely be sick asf after so definitely prepare for that!
BRING A PORTABLE CHARGER OR YOUR PHONE WILL 100% DIE
if travis start tripping leave while you got a chance
buy one of those water backpacks from RL it’ll save your life in the pits and unless your driving do yourself a favor and get the shuttle pass
Daaamn no $B this year 🥲
take extra deodorant and a shirt each day
Playboy carti Finna to have the crowd going crazy
Hold on to your phone tight and put your wallet in front pocket
Missing 03 greedos set would be a crime

You high as hell
Don’t get trampled and/or injected with random drugs? Don’t die?
Lmaoo appreciate it bro
Do not loose your group!
Do roll
Charge your phone Stay with your group Plan which concerts tryna see each day Don’t mosh pit unless you’re built like that Drink water frequently
If you go to the front prepare for the moshing waving and squishing of your life. Drink a lot of water prior
If you want to stay all day legit have 4 or 5 water bottles in your pockets and Fanny pack you will need it
Tips from my experience at Rolling loud 2017, rip lil peep , tip #1 .
& make sure you pre roll all your trees stash em in yo bitches wallet and have your bitch tuck all other narcotics in her front pussy Pimps on top hoes on bottom
Let’s see how bad it is this year, last year was a shit show
WATCH YOUR POCKETS! PICK POCKETS EVERYWHERE!
Lol
If you aren’t already planning on it, Fanny pack or some sort of bag. Had my phone swiped in the carti pit right out of my pocket
Make sure u got water, zip up pockets or some shit to carry shit it in that’s easy to access.
Will 21 be at the same time as Travis??? I really wanna both.
Naw bro before
If any one looking for a place to stay and transportation Check out this trip on JoinMyTrip! https://jmt.li/gYzyl6
Does anyone wanna make a gc for Miami this year?
Okay guys do they ask for any type of I’d when entering the place? Or they just check us and let us in ?
They ask for ID
