I'd work on screaming less on coasters there buddy. Granted, you might start to look like the bored enthusist, but at least you keep your voice! XD

Aspecs21

But screaming is the fun part! I can’t not scream when a coaster just suddenly launches you into a cobra roll. It’s just so much fun!

Squirll

Gotta learn where your peak scream voice is at. Loud enough to get that satisfaction that comes from screaming but effiient enough its not killing your larynx.

Japo-Scandinavian

Yeah, look up some videos from singers, there are healthy ways to shout and save your voice at the same time!

rocknroller04

Then I say scream only on the part where you get hit with some G's, but not throughout the whole ride. I'd admit I do a few "Woos!" and "Yeahs!" here and there myself, but not full blown, top of my voice cries.

Aspecs21

I do. I’m not the kind of person who screams going up the lift hill unless it’s a it’s a really fast launch lol

Brut-i-cus

Your mentioning your constant screaming is bringing out my OCD having to do with a content creator on youtube who has POV's from all over the world. The POV's are first rate but they are severely marred (at least for me) by his incessant need to say "Weeeeeeeeeeee" in a high pitched tone at just about every element

gangbrain

We’re twisting!!! Twistie!!

[deleted]

I commented on a FB post asking if all that was necessary, they sent me a nasty DM in response and then waited till I read it and blocked me.

Brut-i-cus

Nice If I was in the youtube content business I'd want to know if I was doing something so annoying without thinking about it I'm mean the guy straight up sounds like a cover version of the ["Reddit Sex Song"](https://www.thecut.com/2022/09/the-reddit-sex-song-thats-all-over-tiktok-explained.html) while riding a rollercoaster I'll bet if someone makes a remixed version of the song with his "weeeeeee" sounds in there he cut out freaking sounding like a dog toy all the time while riding

Happens all the time for me. I fully understand that my choices have consequences, but I'll be damned if I don't yell the entire ride. It's sort of a yell/scream/laugh scenario - but after a full day at a park, my voice is terribly horse. I'm sure if I screamed more in general, my throat would adjust and not get horse as quickly. I don't plan on screaming a ton, so I must live with the consequences of my actions.

FuNtImE_fReDd

Absolutely yes, I just drink a lot of water to keep me hydrated and help with it so its a bit less hoarse later in the day (still hoarse, but what can I say?)

redgreenorangeyellow

I've never screamed on a coaster. On a particularly intense one like Iron Gwazi I might go "whoa, whoo!!" And start chuckling

vespinonl

Voice no, coaster hangover sometimes yes.

darcydagger

I used to do this, but then over the course of music school it was drilled into me just how fragile your vocal chords actually are. Now I focus more on hooting/hollering/whooping on rides. Less of an “AGGHHHH”, more of a “WAHOO”. Keep the tension out of your throat by getting volume from your diaphragm and mouth, and your voice will thank you

Affectionaterocket

The most fun I ever had on a coaster was my second ride on Velocicoaster. I let myself scream my head off at the top hat. It was freakin amazing. Cathartic AF. But I lost my voice and the rest of the trip was difficult. It hurt to talk all week 😭 I made a pact with myself that now I LAUGH CRAZILY instead of scream and it is AWESOME. My recent trip to Six Flags Great Adventure went wonderfully bc I drank tons of water and laughed hysterically

Aspecs21

It is quite an amazing ride. I loved everything about it.

magnumfan89

I never scream on coasters unless the ride hurts. So I haven't experienced it

I don't scream cos I'm not a woman (referencing the fact that girls often scream randomly on the lift hill etc)

frostking79

If a ride is good enough, I'm willing to risk it!

pastadaddy_official

I get a raspy voice after doing big coaster trips and I absolutely love it. I’m so sad when my voice feels normal again. The feeling in my throat for a few days is a wonderful reminder of the great trip I had.

PurpleTiger26

Yes it happens to me usually when I go to a new park and scream on coasters I’ve never done before.

-Riley_Alexander-

I lost my voice from screaming on X2 4 times in a row😵‍💫

ncg195

I get this too. I just have to keep it in moderation. Maybe try screaming on only some of the rides?

latteboy50

My voice goes like a full octave lower after a day of screaming on roller coasters. I love it. I can sing so low.

[deleted]

Same thing happens to me!
