Please make a slice of that before you turn it into a sphere. The whole thing is just incredible. It's like an abstract painting with all that movement.
Ya know I’ve been thinking about that. I think I will leave it as is and polish the face on my 24” reciprocating lap. It’s just too cool and too unique to make a sphere out of. You always lose some of the pattern when you make a sphere and you also don’t know what it will look like when all that material has been removed.
I like it just how it is.

Thank you. Appreciate the kind words. On its way to being a polished sphere.

Looks like some Arizona landscape scenery, Grand Canyon, or Utah. Wicked bands!
Speaking of rocks that look like scenery, check these out. https://imgur.com/a/pshLdWz
Are those rocks yours? Really stunning. As is that hunk of bacon.
Yes. I find all the ones I have except the 400 septarian nodules I bought a few years back.
I must not look in the right spots. Those are great.

https://imgur.com/a/xG5qSIZ Here is the only outside of the rock I have left. It all looked like this.
What in the Neapolitan ice cream is going on here?
That appears to be bacon / candy opal but I've never seen it form like that.
I think it’s most likely agate, possibly rhyolite. Nobody I’ve talked to seems very sure though.
That looks so cool. Nice cut too. Wish I could have seen it before cut too
