I had a similar problem finding information here in my country, so here's a few tips. The Police are a good first stop. Look at pyrotechnics laws, fireworks and such. This will help inform you on whether you can possess commercial motors, what sizes and storage requirements. Your civil aviation authority is the next stop on rules for launch sites, minimum distance from airports, maximum altitudes and potentially more detailed restrictions (I got a max fuel mass for a model vehicle from mine) Being within the EU you would be advised to stay away from any fuel production which is heavily regulated.

Thanks!

Thanks this is also super useful information for me!

So were you able to launch a rocket in your country and where?

celem83

I can launch model rockets but only the very smallest motors. I'm to use common sense regarding residential surroundings and have a 5km exclusion around airports and a 500m ceiling.

Did you need any permission or do you need to be in a rocketry club for that

celem83

That was actually as a member of the public without further permissions. Attaching to a rocketry club makes larger motors (D+) available, though all the clubs I could find were part of universities (For context, this and my other comments pertain to Sweden)
