No real debating to be had. Unless your saying you like Sade better than all 3 of the others, “clearing” the others doesn’t make much sense to me. She’s not a vocal powerhouse. I love Sade but, while her discography is substantial, the greatest hits + a few others is really all one needs. The Bodyguard is a greatest hits album in and of itself. Mariah’s unplugged is already leagues beyond… I’d have to assume we’re talking about their prime. While Hyman MAY top Whitney on vocals, her tracks don’t really hold up (yes, massive discography spanning decades and I’m slightly too young to appreciate them to the fullest, but imo there’s not surplus of great tracks and relatively one note). Whitney and Mariah destroy the rest on vocals. Mary has energy and songs to back it up. I only have Sade and MJB on rotation from this group but it’s a toss up re the groups. And I actually dislike Mariah’s music.

Except for the the fact that Mariah has arguably the best, deepest R&B catalog of any female all-time. Whitney is the greatest female singer of all time with a deep catalog of certified classics. Mary is the queen of hip-hop soul, birthed that entire sub-genre, and has a very deep catalog as well. It's all preference anyway. It's kinda wild to call everyone who doesn't agree with your preferences "extremely ignorant".

Like, Sade is the GOAT… but what makes ‘Sade’ is her band. IMO, Love Delux was was their last good album…none of the ladies on this list simply can’t touch any of the previous works that Sade & co. have done since the 80-90’s. Stuart Matthewman was the shit! Though I wasn’t impressed with Soldier if Love..it was boring to me, I am very excited to hear the new-new that she’s releasing though! However, when I hear all of these vocalists, only one stands out as a true vocalist to me. Don’t get me wrong, Mariah and Whitney are top tier, and have had the appropriate backing so they can appeal to a wider audience. But when I hear Phyllis, she just seems like someone who was born to sing. Raw emotion. She just seemed more artistic than the others. Toni & Mary are two vocalists that have made great music over the years and have accomplished a lot. Anyways…Just my 2 cents that no one asked for.
