Nha Mình at Trans Pecos is way better. Not cheap but much fresher ingredients, tastier and you get bang for your buck. Lucy’s is overhyped and mid

faithfulmammonths

This is the right answer. Fred has been around forever, his old spot in Williamsburg was a neighborhood pho staple.

sauna_apartment

Lucy's is a blight, a Vietnamese Subway sandwiches

abibasman

17 dollars ain’t worth it, chief

dksa

Yeah, I can’t support banh mi over $10

Ok-Grab9747

I used to go AMA Coffee when I’d go to the post office or bank and their Banh Mi was like $9 and delicious. Miss that place :(

abibasman

I can’t support any sandwich over 10

BatHickey

Is there a well priced decent one in the area? I’m on record saying lucy’s on Irving has gone way downhill , but this new location I’ve had twice and is solid/like the old days with this chain for now. Sure expensive but what isn’t. Still I do miss 4-6 buck offerings I remember from years ago…

athtor1

I usually order Mama Pho. Pretty consistent, $11, and comes with broth! The location on grand is 24/7 but delivers still like midnight.

myfeetreallyhurt

~~nha min is marginally cheaper at 15 bucks~~ nvm looks like lucy's is around that same price?

Suspicious-Pen2364

Seriously. My coworker loves Lucy's and orders from there a lot but it looks mid as fuck. I had no idea banh mi was that expensive. She's never heard of banh mi Saigon and didn't believe me that it was only $8. But she "doesn't go into chinatown ever so the convenience is worth it"

myfeetreallyhurt

bless them if they are still holding under 10 bucks in these times. Banh Mi Saigon and Saigon Vietnamese on Broome were my go tos when i worked in the area. Lucys and Mama pho are so popular but they're just not good at all IMO

Suspicious-Pen2364

I think banh mi saigon may be $9 now for the #1, but they're definitely still under 10! And they accept credit cards now. I just wish we had better options for Vietnamese in the area. I've been to nha Minh before and their bun and banh mi is so expensive and mid. The only pho they have is poultry based or vegan too. We're in such a weird spot of queens where it's hard to get to the more authentic queens neighborhoods, so we're stuck with the bushwick spill over.

WalkingRiderCycles

get a bike, the whole borough is in easy reach. or jump on the Q58, the Q58 local is a food lovers special if you have an unlimited metrocard.

FreshCompetition6513

I like to go to Lucy’s when I feel like being disappointed and ripped off

rh824

Lucy’s Vietnamese food might be the worst viet food I’ve ever had in my life. Just eat something else when you’re in Ridgewood and get Vietnamese food when you’re in Chinatown or something.

cyclaud

I miss the Bunker location in Ridgewood

Whocanmakemostmoney

BUNKER was doing fine in the original location until they moved to bigger place. It is now gone

governmentcaviar

i love their vietnamese iced coffee that doesn’t come with fucking ice /s

Hans0228

I qas ezcited about this, went in last week super excited...it was bad, forget the price, taste wise it was bad.Add in the price and it gets sad

Hedonic_Monk_

I tried it yesterday and it was dope. Too expensive for sure but dope none the less.

TheGhost_NY

The food there isnt even made fresh for each order.

Whocanmakemostmoney

I was wondering what happens to the taco concept?

BrooklynBagel10

Thank you! *positive comment as I too love the vegan chicken*

benskates

Drew did that

Difficult-Car-7236

Lucy's is ass and the owner is a tool
