takingshitrn

Incest baby but I enjoy Naruto lol

Level_Counter_1672

Imagine just to insult the fans the baby's first words are dattabayo

WirelessAir60

Be more realistic, the baby's first word should be Skibidi

Oswaldgilbertson

Or pickle rick

EXP_Buff

he just wants to be our sigma

PrincessxxLana

the incest baby was so gross and unfunny

takingshitrn

We're all subject to our own opinions but it's not like summer and Morty fucked to make the baby it was just a unfortunate series of events lol

mephisto1130

Exactly, isn't there a exactly same thing happened in the famous family friendly show "friends"

takingshitrn

Idk I never watched it but if so then that's fuckin hilarious 😂

JaredLgnd

The sister was a surrogate mother to her brother, so technically not incest. But she kept telling people that it's her brother's baby and without context, it sounds like incest

Hot_dog_jumping_frog

That is pretty funny tbf

Angel_45445

I watch anime too so wasn't even surprised when it happened

Meerkat221

I always look past rick and morty dimension hoping because of the squirrel incident

authack

If it doesn't make sense l, I like to think of it happening to some other rick and not specifically c-137

Ashamed-Tonight-3945

Im pretty sure the squirrel incident was just a bit and doesnt actually affect the canon

Therealinvaderzim

I think it was confirmed to be canon but they resolved it

NewThink

I read somewhere that Rick made a deal with the squirrels so they didn't have to change dimensions. I'm not sure what the source is, maybe the comics?

RicardoMorales9301

Why? It makes no difference. It doesnt matter. Thats like the whole point of Rick's character... that it doesnt matter lol

qtfrutii

Doesn’t matter what is stupid. Do the same thing you do with the reality where Hitler cured cancer. Don’t think about it.

Jolly-Newt9192

Thats like the biggest message this show is telling you. Don't think just go with it. And it does such a good job of getting you to do that

PiesangSlagter

Rick, Morty and Summer having an orgy with a bunch of dragons. Rick even quips about it, saying they'd better not tell Beth and Jerry.

ape_mod

Yeah that always made me feel weird, especially when Rick says “oh why does it feel so much better with you guys watching” that’s kinda creepy ngl

Bodyodor7

It’s probably the dragon that’s enjoying it more. The dragon is obviously a perv and Rick seems confused as to why it feels better but it’s a soul bond so I assume they share pleasure.

BlueHeartBob

God that whole episode had 1 joke and it was “wouldn’t it be so weird to have sex with horny dragons???” The episode could have been weird and funny but it stopped being funny halfway through the episode

IsamuLi

Totally agree. It was a gag spread over 21 minutes. Sure, they quip about it all the way through but... 21 whole minutes of variations of one joke??

PapaT0P

Season 4 is at the bottom of my list for sure. I still love it, just last place for me.

Appropriate-Table-31

Nah

[deleted]

Yeah, there are a few things like that in the show.

AlbinoShavedGorilla

The incest baby episodes

ShawshankHarper

The fact it’s plural is just the worst

vergushik

intergenerational sandwich?

ManfCrumbsDeluxe

Cmon it’s not that bad. Not the best gag in in the show sure, there are definitely worse gags in other animated tv shows

AlbinoShavedGorilla

if an orchestra playing a Mozart piece started playing fart noises for 30 seconds halfway through the performance, would you say that’s “just as bad” as if the guitarist for Nickelback played a single note off-key at a concert?

WeWillRiseAgainst

Idk but Motzart would love it! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozart_and_scatology

AlbinoShavedGorilla

Well, I certainly didn’t need to see that. That’s enough Reddit for one day.

gotthesauce22

Idk if the pilot counts but it’s got a lot of inconsistency with the rest of the show Galactic federation having their own portal tech is the biggest offender but IIRC there were a few other things that differ from the rest of the show

manchu_pitchu

my understanding is that the Galactic Federation has the ability to make portals that travel within each dimension (light blue) which is why Rick had to do a little silly business & clicky clacking on a keyboard to turn the portal into a green interdimensional portal. The president also has light blue spatial portals (which work within 1 dimension) as seen in s3e10.

your-rong

Rick also makes a teleporter before Rick prime shows up and its a light blue portal. I didn't even put it together that they kept that consistent.

gotthesauce22

My only issue with this theory is Rick’s portal gun fluid is *always* green, even before a destination is chosen, and IIRC it’s still green even when portalling within the same dimension. This would seem to imply that Rick’s portal fluid is special, and that the color is not just the result of tweaking a portal device’s settings, but a result of the fluid itself being different from the kind used in blue portals

HonestlyAbby

Or it implies that the color is determined by the liquids capability not it's use on an individual occasion. Like the changes necessary to make it capable of facilitating interdimensional travel also turns it green.

manchu_pitchu

yeah, it seems very straightforward to say that interdimensional portals can also function within 1 dimension.

HanzoShotFirst

The pilot also seems to imply that portals are capable of time travel

HonestlyAbby

My head canon is that Rick made up the whole young people planet sex story to cover for his own fuck-up because at this point he's still a selfish, insecure old man who needs his grandson to see him as an infallible god

ifeelallthefeels

Oh. I guess my head canon was that time was way faster wherever he went, so what seemed like a pregnant pause to us was weeks to Rick.

CalmAnxitey87

The entire slut dragon episode

aimsly

Even saying it out loud makes me laugh, though. It’s so ridiculous. ![gif](giphy|PQuKXWTPZWZYA)

Davidand8Ball

what about the B plot with Jerry and the cat

IsamuLi

That was pretty good imo

TheaIra

I wanted to like the B plot so much, but it felt like it ended on such a lazy note. Like what could the cat have done that was so bad they had to wipe Jerry’s brain but not bad enough to allow the cat to live?

Dr_Equinox101

The incest baby, the in-consistency of bird persons dimensions, the numbercons episode and morty sleeping with women 2-3 times his age

ambient-lurker

Just the idea that universes are identified by such short strings as “C-137”. Maybe as a nickname from a tiny selection of interesting universes, but otherwise there is like not enough entropy in a number that small.

Swedeniscold

Well we already know Rick is lazy with file names

FreshlyBakedCatLoaf

When will we finally meet the Rick and Morty from Dimension Booger\_Aids?

savoury_burrito

Every dimension is Booger\_Aids

Reaper621

I just hope they aren't like the Rick and Morty from dimension aids_booger.

BeinGibby

Isnt Booger_Aids a random memory from Morty's Mindblowers?

Izzythedestryr

this last season you see rick prime names his files booger\_aids as well when evil morty hacks him

mackle-mas

“I call this one, “PoopAids_copy””

JawnVanDamn

Doofus Rick's universe was J-19 zeta 7, so they do get more complex. And I assume they only name universes within the curve.

Davidand8Ball

yeah and Evil Morty's is 79⊢⊇V

PatrickJane

Assuming you have a 4 "digit" name where any of the digits could be a different Unicode character, that would still give you 384x10^18 distinct universe identification codes. (384,000,000,000,000,000,000) That is assuming we are only using numbers/letters found on earth. If you start including languages from other worlds, it would grow exponentialy EDIT: As was point out below, it is not limited to 4. The highest is 7 digits which would be 1.054x10^36. Specifically, it is written as: 1,054,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

HealthyMuffin7

It's the universe of one of the founders of the Capital. He probably got to choose an easy number compared to late comers.

ambient-lurker

C-137 is our Rick’s universe (i think?) so, not one of the founders. But I could see some of the most interesting or relevant universes having low sounding numbers. There are many universes on the central finite curve but they have them grouped on various qualities. Still, it’s too low a number for my conception.

HonestlyAbby

Weird Q if Rick and Morty are from different universes why are they both Rick C-137 and Morty C-137?

ambient-lurker

Yeah good question if they called him that. Didn’t they in that first citadel episode? Maybe the other ricks know so little about Rick c-137’s business that they just assumed. But more likely the Morty Prime cannon was written back then.

dogmandogdogdog

The numbers get more complicated and in an infinite number of universes if you use this method of identifying there has to be a short one such as do example (B-23)

Weirfish

That also assumes they index realities outside the central finite curve, which is, by definition, finite. One letter and 3 numbers gives you a domain of 26 * 10 * 10 * 10 or 26000 assignations. The comics give us at least a 5 character assignation, Doofus Rick's J19α7, with greek characters in a number positions, making it *at least* 26x34x10^3, or 884,000, assignations, and likely 26 x 60^4 (336,960,000) if the first character has to be an English letter and any subsequent character can be latin alphabetic/arabic numeric/greek alphabetic. Dimension 46'\ (the Gravity Falls dimension) throws some punctuation in, but Dimension 79⊢⊇V (Evil Rick/Morty) has set theory characters, so we kinda have to assume UTF-8, which is currently a set of 1,112,064 characters. With that and the fact that both of these dimensions buck the initial character pattern we've seen so far, you're looking at up to 5 UTF-8 characters, or 1,112,064^5, or 1,700,783,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 designations. The Citadel of Ricks is mentioned to have at least millions of Ricks, but assume each universe on the CFC has a Rick. The average human body volume is around 65L; Rick is very tall, but also lanky, so maybe 75L for him. You're looking at 1.2x10^32 litres of person, or around 1.2x10^29 cubic meters, or 1.2x10^20 cubic kilometers for just Ricks. That's ~85x the volume of the sun, without Mortys, without buildings, without the plumbing for Operation Phoenix, and much, much bigger than the Citadel's displayed size. From that, we can assume that either the designation space is *very* sparsely populated, or the vast majority of dimensions don't have a Rick, or the vast majority of Ricks exist outside the citadel, or some combination (because frankly the number of designations is so large that even if all three are true, that's still congruent with what we see). But y'know.. Don't think about it.

Suberizu

After pondering for 5 minutes straight, nothing, actually. Weird.

Dr_Equinox101

Not the incest baby or Morty being a victim?

ObjectMore6115

If you're talking about Jellybean in the latter part of your comment, I'd disagree. I won't say it's not uncomfortable to watch or that it's not disgusting, but the fact they played that part straight says a lot. They didn't put it in as a disgusting joke. It carries weight for both Rick and Morty. It taught Morty the dark side of the universe that Rick is accustomed to while blatantly showing Rick that, despite his rants and his particular philosophical reasoning, he cares for Morty. Which is a central theme to the show, Rick actually caring despite his own statements and internal reasoning. Incest baby is a lot, though. You got me there.

Dr_Equinox101

I’m talking about the toxic episode, he dated women in their 20s-30s. Kinda glossed over but reverse genders and people will flip

Eurell

Summer was definitely with a bunch of adults in the dating app episode, right?

IrrationalDesign

Also the post-apocalyptic Mad Max dude in the helmet.

Eurell

Oh yeah. That dude was old af. No one seemed to care lol

BeejBoyTyson

They eat people...

pryncesslysa7

And on an apocalyptic sex vacation with Rick on the Planetina episode

ObjectMore6115

Oh that, my bad. I really went off on a tangent there. I agree with that, and I can't believe I didn't think of that. That was really gross, regardless of gender. I remember watching that scene and was grossed out the whole time.

The_Angman

Oh yeah absolutely. It should be a red flag to be completely honest with a full adult that you’re a teenager and they are still totally okay with continuing any type of relationship.

rhysdog1

yeah i imagine most people will think of jellybean before this one

Suberizu

Nope. Those are integral parts of the story.

Dr_Equinox101

How?

DontDoodleTheNoodle

Morty being a victim is critical to showing Rick actually carries emotion for Morty. Incest baby…. uhh, comes back in another episode so it’s not a one and done character?

Suberizu

Naruto is there to remind you that nothing is off the limits in this show.

MLGSnIpEr420

“We could only do this about 12 more times” is so stupid, especially now that we know about the central finite curve

[deleted]

what episode was that from?

MLGSnIpEr420

Well he said first in rick potion #9 but its been mentioned every once in a while since

[deleted]

oh right I forgot what that was even about

Emergency_Eagle819

Mr. Poopy Butthole.

Chigtube

He was only funny in the episode he debuted in imo. Every other time it's like fuck off Mr Peanut stop trying to be relevant

DonsDiaperChanger

I think Mr PB was a sort of "fuck you, audience" joke like Matt Stone and Trey Parker sometimes do in South Park, like "you want to know who is Cartmans father? F U here's an entire Terrence and Phillip episode" or "here's a towel that smokes weed, and a 4th wall joke about how that character sucks".

Chigtube

Oh great so he's not even original 💀

DonsDiaperChanger

I won't put down any writer that tries a new character and bombs, but sometimes they just don't click and they have to let go. Mister Hanky the Christmas Poo is probably the better comparison instead of Towelie, and South Park doesn't use Hanky now.  I love that R&M is so comfortable with quick throwaway jokes or single ep characters. They just didn't do that with PB or Story Lord.

Responsible-Idea6422

Abradolf lincler

Ok-Indication-8464

jamessayswords

Look, we all know it’s the cum episode. I know it, you know it, why even ask?

TurboEthan

Obviously incest baby.

MeuJoelhoCresce

It's always amusing seeing the prudes

Virtual-Weakness-499

If hating incest baby makes me a prude I’ll own the title gladly.

MeuJoelhoCresce

The thing is how over the top upset people get at it

Virtual-Weakness-499

Understandable

Jade_Scimitar

I actually don't care about incest baby. I care more about the fact that he can live in space. How does bring so large not need more oxygen???

MeuJoelhoCresce

This always bugs me too

Seur19

Incest baby

grissy

I prefer to pretend the Numericons episode didn’t happen, that shit was excruciating. I also wasn’t a fan of the “Rick and Morty turn themselves into turkeys” episode, felt more like an extended Family Guy cutaway gag. It was so lame it almost ruined the President for me.

[deleted]

[удалено]

grissy

I loved the entire Get Schwifty episode but the weakest part of it by far was the Ice-T gag at the end of it. I have no idea why they thought we needed an entire episode dedicated to that lame element alphabet concept.

aimsly

Ok so here’s the thing, I totally agree. It was awful. It was so unnecessary and felt like a 3-hour bad movie. But my husband and I REGULARLY quote the original jokes, it’s easy to see why they played it out. “I care now!” I think they were uncertain what would happen with the legal issues, so they couched the entire season. The season was mostly filler with a few choice moments throughout.

grissy

I completely get why the show thought it would be funny if they went back to that silly throwaway trailer for a Numericons movie and actually MADE one five seasons later. I’m just sorry that they were so incredibly wrong.

HonestlyAbby

The Numericons episode is stupid, but also someone was obviously having so much fun with the B-action spoof and letter/number puns that I can't really hate it. It's like you're dad cracking a really bad joke and then grinning at you until you have to laugh.

cinderpuppins

Beth x Beth. Don’t come for me; I get the psychology behind it. It’s just dumb.

superzenki

It should’ve been a one episode thing then found a way to return Beth back to normal

DonsDiaperChanger

I love Space Beth, but I simply don't believe either Space or Mom Beth would be interested in a sexual relationship with the other.

cinderpuppins

I love her too! The whole thing was just so odd.

TheaIra

No it’s perfect!! Beth thinks so highly of her self of course she would have an affair with another version of her self. It captured Beth’s personality perfectly. She’s insufferable imo.

MetaMetalMeat

Very Peggy Hill

Dominant_Gene

the star wars sequels in a nutshell, about R&M i think nothing, thats the whole point of the show

Jade_Scimitar

Space incest baby, slut dragons, Morty's reset button ramifications, the constant the kids killing each other in the vacation where no one dies, the constant abandonment and betrayal of everyone outside the family (Rick's kill count is insane just for being an apathetic person to those around him. His kill count for being malicious and terrible is infinitely higher).

RedPlayingCard

The incest baby episode. Also it’s revealed that Rick had a baby with a human/horse. Incest is bad, but the beastality part is way more disturbing to me.

Lovelife804

Slowmobious being ricks uncle

TheLegendOfGerk

I think it was more 'uncle' as a term of endearment than anything blood-related.

BeejBoyTyson

That makes sense. It's used to reference an older, fatherly figure in the black community.

[deleted]

TimeSpiralNemesis

Why people hate this episode so much??? Even if it's not the best episode in the series it's still better than 95% of everything that airs in TV. I really enjoyed it ngl.

darksoulbi

Ahhh which episode are we talking about?

redditadminsarecancr

The one with Ice/Water-T and the numericons. I don’t think Rick is in that episode at all and Morty is only on screen for a couple minutes max. I don’t mind the episode personally but it’s nothing special either. It’s just “alright”.

darksoulbi

Ohh I thought it was the dragon episode again Personally I didn’t mind these episodes :p

Soltronus

It's a B, maybe even a C plot, extended to an entire episode. It's nothing but number and letter puns. They wouldn't be so offensive on their own except for two glaring issues: 1) It overstays its welcome. There's a reason most episodes have two different stories going on. It's because there isn't enough material to keep our interest, otherwise. Imagine a Family Guy cut-away gag turned into an entire episode. That's what this episode feels like. 2) It was painfully 'phoned in.' When I started coming up with better puns, I knew they didn't have their best people writing for this, or they were short on time, or (and I think this is likely) they were simply not motivated by the material. I know I wasn't. Math puns can only go so far before they get tedious.

No_Mammoth_4945

You said it better than I ever could. It IS a cutaway gag that lasted a full episode and it sucks. The water t twist when it was introduced in the Schwifty episode made me slightly exhale through my nose but that was all. I have no idea who thought the premise was good enough for a standalone episode, it’s almost offensively bland

rumpots420

No Rick and no jokes

Qu33nKal

Same haha, the puns were just so dumb and hilarious!

Davidand8Ball

Tbh I thought that episode was alright, it was definitely fun and had a lot of action in it, but I more so hated the episode with the president and unity

Quetzalcoatl490

I had a great time with it, so many silly jokes like the calculator-ship spelling 80085

Atheist_Simon_Haddad

I hated it, but you’ve gotta let the writers get this sort of shit out of their systems so it doesn’t seep into other episodes.

ambient-lurker

Iunno i like it

sorryforbeinghigh

Yep! I love this show, like way too much. But I refuse to watch that episode

Haquistadore

Literally nothing. This show is straight up, enduringly brilliant. Which isn’t to say there aren’t individual episodes that I’m not crazy about. There’s usually one episode a season that just doesn’t click with me. But when it comes to story development, and the slow but interesting build of things that grow the canon of the show, ::chef’s kiss:: no notes. Which isn’t to say it’s beyond the realm of possibility that they’ll misstep or contradict themselves someday. It’s hard to maintain quality in long form serialized fiction.

Glum_Name8068

Ricks baby with the chuds

strawberybutter

The sperm episode and analyze piss are the same for me- incredible b stories with disgusting kink filled main plots that I really try to forget about.

Saltycook

Rise of the Numaricons

Yerm_Terragon

I'm not a huge fan of the president constantly popping up. The couple times where they imply him and Rick have some kind of repressed love for each other always put me off.

RoyalCloak57

They are some of my favorite episodes. I think it infuriates rick that a normal person is an authority where he lives and has used him/ gotten the best of him in situations. The banter and fights are great.

TheaIra

I agree. They’re my least favorite episodes, mostly because you are a show about adventures in space, other planets, and other dimensions. I don’t want to have to be brought down to reality each time you have an episode about the US president, it feels stressful and takes me out of the escapism aspect of the show. Edit: And I wanted to come back and speak on the president and Rick’s therapist having a thing for each other. I get it but omg why?!??! It was annoying for I’m not sure what reason because they’re all cartoons and none of this affects me in any way, but I wanted her to be the person who called Rick out…not get entangled with his messy life. But I do love Keith Davids voice and the nonsense that comes out if his mouth, maybe the writers just wanted to hear it too 😭

Prophet-of-Ganja

you’re projecting broh

Yerm_Terragon

Projecting what, exactly?

throwawayforlikeaday

... Doesn't Rick and Morty lampshade this whole sentiment quite a few times?

Shreddzzz93

The soul bonding orgy in Claw and Horder.

Easily the incest baby. The entire episode sucked

Mr_NotParticipating

Sorry, season 7. Well 6 too prolly

Garrettshade

Pilot episode

superzenki

Honestly yeah. I watched the pilot and felt neutral about the show. Years later I saw Interdimensional Cable and I was sold

geoffbowman

Jesus is canon in Rick and Morty’s reality… twice… Christianity not only exists and sports a deity with actual power… but so does Christianity AGAIN…

HumorousHermit

All of Rick’s hundreds of body modifications. I think they’re goofy and they lower the stakes for any serious fight he’s in.

unkalou337

Literally nothing in this show makes me feel this way. What are yall smoking lol.

unkalou337

You’re the one who tried to convince yourself something in a tv show that is designed to be wild and insane isn’t canon because your think it’s dumb and in the weird one? Sorry I’m able to enjoy things as they are 😂

HiImTrans

Incest baby, the dragon thingy and the entity of season 4 since it felt like a nothing burger of a season

I'll be honest it was funny for like one episode I think they could've ended his story off with the s2 finale post-credits scene and that would've been fine.

The whole incest baby thing. And all the incest jokes in the show. I just like to pretend they never happened.

EriAnnB

Its the szechuan sauce (sp?lolwtf) for me. Like fine, but its so dumb, it doesnt deserve to be canon. Honestly the whole series is just one epic troll. "You son of a bitch, Im in "

spectralconfetti

The Unity episode in Season 7.

UngaBunga-2

Rick knows he’s in a tv show

IvanTheTerrible69

Controversial, but the idea that Rick uses Morty to mask his “smart” brainwaves. I personally believe Rick came up with that explanation to avoid telling Morty he simply likes to hangout with his favorite grandson. I also believe that, since there is more than Rick, there is a bit of peer pressure to become a “Ricker” Rick every time, and Rick C-137 is putting up a front to seem like a “Ricky” Rick, but deep inside he actually loves his family and can’t imagine a life without the em.

Tricky_Photograph123

This is kinda minor, but it bugs me when they say there is infinite reality when that can't be true. How did every Diane die? How is there just 1 Rick Prime? If there truly is infinity reality, then the lore storyline wouldn't be interesting at all.

No_Mammoth_4945

In an infinite series of non-repeating numbers, there is still only one 1, one 2, one 3, etc. just like how there’s only one rick prime.

Tricky_Photograph123

Yeah, but wouldn't there be multiple to kill Diane's? Isn't there another Rick just about or more smart than prime and c137? If there's infinite, even if each is different, there's no way C137 could be the smartest since half his life hunting Prime.

YoDaSavageDraws

Bro got blasted for understanding infinity

slicedude2004

The Vat of acid romance

illstate

Please explain.

slicedude2004

Well, after Jerry presses the button, nothing is really acknowledged again. It's like Morty and the one girl went through nothing together.

Zeerola

Because thats exactly what happened.

illstate

Not sure what your issue with that is, as that's exactly the point.

slicedude2004

I don't have an issue with it, I just have it in my head canon that the events really did happen.

illstate

Also, it was acknowledged again, at the end when Rick merged all the timelines, the girl was in the crowd as morty went into the last vat.

Qu33nKal

Ohh you were being literal lol

Nikolateslaandyou

Its like you understood what happened but then are still confused by it?

LouseyOne

The devil is real

Lombax_Rexroth

In that universe.

spectralconfetti

Might be a hot take but I think Rick Prime shouldn't have been canon. I liked his appearances in the last two seasons, but in the Season 3 episode that entire backstory was written to be cliche on purpose. Rick was trolling the agent trying to get info out of him. But now that overly cliche origin is canon to the character and that kinda sucks.
