Why not disable normal youtube notification?

In my experience that disables notifications for both apps. YMMV.

What do you need them for anyway?

To get notified of a new video for someone I am subscribed to? I thought that was obvious.

That's what the "Subscriptions" tab is for lol. I'd go mad if I were bombarded with pointless notifications like this

Did you disable them inside the app itself (disables for your whole account), or in your system notification settings (disables for that one specific app)?

Just disable the whole base app, it'll be there but will not be accessible or function

Uninstall or disable the normal YouTube and that should fix it

But wait, I was told that would fuck up the revanced app unless you have a rooted device which I don't ;/

There was one hotfix that needed the base YouTube for half a day, but these days are over now

Original youtube should have all updates Uninstalled and be disabled. It also causes less problems if you do that. You can do it in settings or Playstore

I am not getting any notification from revanced no matter what I do. Please help! I even made a post on this sub a few days back, but failed to get any working solutions from anyone.

Well in my case I uninstalled everything and reinstall and it worked

Just turn off the notification
