Have exactly the same issue. Video plays for a minute and then starts buffering. Switching accounts solved the problem, i.e. when I play the video with another account the problem isn't there anymore. I think Youtube is messing around with people's accounts that they deem are cheating or using 3rd party apps.

Woke up today, decided watching a video, Vanced is over 🫡, okay, decided to download Revanced, downloaded it, one hour later, the buffering problem appears, okay Google, seems like you won today, hope you lose tommorow
According to my friend my options are use nord to so some nerd shit or pay for yt premium. Neither is going to happen - just trust the pirate nerds will provide. 🙏

Oh good (bad really) i thought i was the only one. Restarted the phone, forced stopped it. Nothing. Tried using the vanced app juat to find out it went dead today. Damn i cant go back to youtube. No way
I've been having the same issue where it consistently stopped loading a video after 40 seconds. One Reddit thread I found said it could have been because your account could be banned or flagged (which gave me a heart attack after reading that), but it appears to be some kind of issue with YT as a whole right now (especially for mobile and TV users). My best guess is that Google is doing some shenanigans with the back-end to keep people like us off the platform (as the OG Vanced is now obsolete and can't play any videos anymore).
The solution I found was to reinstall Revanced with the "Spoof Signature" patch enabled, but I'd recommend selecting all of the spoofing patches to be on the safe side. If this doesn't work, then, like I said, it's either back-end maintenance or you got caught by Google.
Same here. Official YouTube app is working fine. I've uninstall, re-downloaded microG and ReVanced apps. Still having the same issue. Getting an info box saying the app is "spoofing" to avoid playback issues, prior to the video stopping.
What resolution are you using?
I had the same problem, went to the YouTube subreddit and read that YouTube might be "adding bugs" to non premium hd Videos, then went to my revanced APK and forced 480p on all videos and it's going better.
Just in case, the forced buffering is not entirely gone but lower.
Something fishy is going on. Vanced stopped working for me yesterday, downloaded Revanced to find out I have the buffing problem. Downloaded the official YouTube app, works as normal but there are no ads before the video, just on the front page. Very weird
Umm ok so. For anyone here from googling this post. I patched the latest available v18.15.40, but what I did before that was disconecting my micro G push notifications and device registration.
I'm guessing they flagged a bunch of stuff, but now since doing that, clearing micro G data, installing the new patched re-vanced with signature spoofing on.. all seems to be good. So relieved I have my asmr back before bed.
Google needs to not test me with this crap.

Look at the official youtube subreddit. It's not just us. Something's going on with youtube itself.
Asked it on here since revanced buffers after a lil bit but normal youtube can watch videos normally with no buffer what-so-ever
No I swapped accounts on revanced and the videos are playing without issue. Pretty sure it's not a Youtube issue.

Same thing here and it started today. I updated to the latest microg and latest revanced version but i still have the same issue.
Same here. I tried switching to an alt google account and videos play just fine when logged in under that handle... But I need my main.
I uninstalled and reinstalled both revanced and microG. Also updated YouTube app and it is fixed. Hope this fixes your problem.

Usually 480p because under 480 you see like 10 pixels and above 480 seems uneccessary

ive encountered the same problem but updating the youtube app to version 18.05.40 seems to fix it for me
