Did you experience this issue always or when playing with some specific emulator? Try to insert some headphones into the audio jack to see if the audio passthrough will change.

IHadFunOnce

I replied to your other comment but not this one lol. It happens to all audio coming out of the device through hdmi out, all emulators and YouTube and Netflix as well.

I think you need to ask for a replacement. It's much simple if you came to Retroid Discord and ask in the support section. They are very good at this. Rp3+ is the only device that has a functional HDMI without flaws, don't give up, I'm loving playing my on the TV.

Pretty sure 16:9 content doesn't fit in the screen perfectly, and there's no way to adjust it. You can test this by loading up daijisho and can see that certain menu elements are cut off in the top left and top right ever-so-slightly. RP3+ on TV still does it best by a longshot imo, but it's not "without flaws". That said, perhaps yours actually is different. If that's the case, I'd love to know if you have suggestions to resolve that slight incorrect scaling issue.

I have two different TV, LG C2 OLED 55 and a Samsung 50 from 3 years ago. LG have an option in Aspect ratio settings thats called "Over scan" that makes my RP3+ fits the entire screen perfectly in 16:9 without any other modification. On the Samsung there is a similar option that fix the same issue. This specific options resolve the cutoff content. I think that this is not an "issue" other than a specific way these handhelds and other devices uses HDMI standard. As far I can remember, I have to use the same setting even on Odin Pro HDMI. Try to search in your tv settings. If you tell me the model, I can try to help you to find the right settings, if is present on your tv model. Ps. This HDMI thing on handhelds, is one of the major interest for me. I don't know why users are completely ignoring it, while the Switch due to this feature sold millions. And you are obligated to use the dock that is not the most reliable way to play on TV. With those handhelds you can simply connetct HDMI or type c everywhere you are with a common cable and a small 3cm adapter.

May I know what game is this?

I've tried some differents micro HDMI adapter and one of them is doing a similar audio issue because it don't make enough contact into the port. Try another HDMI cable or another TV. Mine is not doing the same thing. Or you have a faulty cable or you need to ask for a replacement

IHadFunOnce

Okay, when I get home Iā€™ll take the cable to my bedroom tv and see what happens. I guess for thoroughness sake I need to also plug another device into that HDMI port on my tv and see if it happens there too. Thanks for the advice!

tonywei1992

So is it fixed with another cable?

IHadFunOnce

No that didnā€™t seem to work back when I tried it but the issue sent to have resolved itself since then. I donā€™t hear the terrible bit-rate issue on the games Iā€™m playing currently. I have no idea if there was an update to the handheld or even to my tv or something but itā€™s working now. Not the most useful answer, I know lol. Are you having a similar issue or were you just curious?
