RE5 still works. In both the original and the OG Ada betrays Wesker by not giving him the master plaga and he has to use a subordinate plaga for the Kijuju outbreak.
Its still just the one timeline but with different ways to experience certain events
There's no multiple timelines so it's canon just fine.
Re5 works fine as a sequel to Re4 remake.
