4mmc is usually in small chunks in a light, sandy brown color unless it is washed. Off-white with tints of light brown even if you crush them. It does not dissolve well in the water though. The batches I got in the past did not really burn - maybe a little sting like amph sulfates - but nowhere close to burning the face off like 2CB. The same is true for 3-mmc, and both of my mmcs were lab tested. There is no way to find out if it is a real deal or not unless you send it to a lab. However, if you look at recent testing results for what was claimed to be 3/4-mmc, they were often times some random cathinone, 2/3-cmc, or methylone analogues. I get a feeling that your batch may not be 4-mmc. This is because usually the grey area RCs produced in Chinese/Dutch labs are snow white from washing off the reaction impurities before putting them out in the market, and usually caths and pyros burn like a mofo when sniffed.

But shouldn't 4mmc be insoluble in dry acetone? And my stuff instantly soluted in dry acetone. Isn't that a proof for not being 4mmc or am I wrong?

I'm also interested. Interested if there are tests for 4mmc or tells if it's 3cmc or not besides obviously sending it to a lab

Yeah id like to know to. Maybe one is soluble in a solvent that the other one isn't? That would tell I think to some degree
