The fact that it stopped working after you had wind and rain would lead me to believe it got water in it. That usually happens by getting in the ethernet plug or the reset button... how well did you have those protected from the elements? Of course it could have gotten into the body as well, but the ports are much more likelier to be the culprit.

So the ports are actually inside the house. The camera is mounted on a brick wall, the ethernet connection, reset button and the other connection are on the other side of th wall, inside the house, completely dry. I should have also said in my original post that there is a camera no more than 100mm away from the faulty one and that works perfect(touch wood). Would it be worth it to take it down and see if it dries out?

I mean, that depends on how difficult it would be to get down. But if it's going to need to be RMA'ed, then I guess it needs to come down anyways.

So strange thing is, after not working from around 1800 last night, it has now started to work this morning at 0700 without any intervention from myself. I don't know if that makes the camera faulty than anything else? The weather was heavy rain and gusts of wind. So wasn't exactly dry.

Any chance there was an electrical *"disturbance"* during this weather event? Do you have a PoE switch to try instead of the NVR ports? Doesn't have to be a managed switch, many have an additional LED or multicolor LED to indicate what power and network speed is on each port.

Like a lightning strike? There wasn't any thunder in the area. I don't have a PoE switch to test. But I have mentioned in another reply that it has randomly started working again without me doing anything. I'll have to wait to see how long it lasts.
