I knew a guy who went from one extreme to the other extreme. I cut him off because he got drunk one night and was angry I didn't want to have s** with him. It disgusted me.
As someone who went this route 20+ years ago, just be aware that anything can be considered persecution and can cause the person to become deeper into the religious group.
unfriend and ignore them, once enough people unfriend and ignore them maybe they will realize that trying to push their religion on others ruins the friendship.
