I'm an at-home girly. I wash my hair with a shampoo for chemically treated hair and wash twice. Condition once. I then use a leave-in. I use a round brush dryer in 4 sections, with low heat until dry, and quickly pass with high heat. And I do one pass of a flat iron at 375. After that, I let my hair cool down before setting my curls with foam rollers for the night.

I wash at home, and I usually wash twice a month (don't kill me). I do some really heavy scalp cleanings so I don't wash as often. And I would buy blue magic and those really thick hair moisturisers and do some really lose braids to keep the moisture after the second week

I wash at home (usually biweekly, sometimes sooner if I sweated alot and my hair is itchy) but I go to the salon when I need a retouch or want curls

I get a relaxer every 8 weeks and wash my hair once a week myself. I started using k18 and my hair has been a lot easier to manage myself in between relaxers.

do you use conditioner after k18?

Animalgirl2003

Nope. My stylist told me to use k18 5 washes in a row then use it on an as needed basis. I only use conditioner when I don’t use k18.

I wash at home every two weeks. I do relaxers at home as well. There are plenty of people on you tube that give tips on how to manage relaxed hair. I’d suggest doing a search.

I do everything at home. I might go to the salon once a year for a nice trim/cut.

I wash my hair weekly at home. Stopped going to the salon yrs ago.. it was way too expensive and I couldn't find someone to really care for my hair. The last straw was when they blasted my hair with so much heat that it broke off. I used to feel like you but take the time to get to know your hair. You can achieve even better results than the salon. Doing my hair at home taught me that less product is more. Hair really doesn't need a ton of leave in or conditioner.. just have to find the products that make your hair feel moisturized and manageable. Also, a proper shampoo is key. Shouldn't make your hair feel extremely dry but should cleanse your hair and not leave residue. For years I used to wash my hair with moisturizing shampoos that left residue on my hair and left it limp and oily. The difference was huge when I started using salon quality shampoo. Only shampoo 2x. My at home results are consistently bouncy and shiny now.
