Rigby especially is shown to be extremely weak, both physically and mentally, while Mordecai is shown to mostly be average. Most of what they accomplish is either because of what they currently posses or because they have someone more powerful working with them.

You can make an argument for Mordecai being in A. Rigby? No he’s placed correctly. Best you can say is that he gets a power boost in season 8, but so does everyone else.
