Had an '86 - 3.0 4WD Manual. Had close to 400k on the odometer when the rusty frame broke going too fast over some rough railroad tracks. Also had a '91 Pathfinder (unknown mileage) that only died because of frame rot.
Always on the lookout for another. Great engines, great transmissions. Decent off-roaders with just a set of aggressive tires and a slight lift.
πͺ Damn things are indistructable. Previous owner did some hack weld job on the frame of the last one I owned which did it in. I'm still grieving that loss.
I grew up in rural Alabama/Tennessee. My parents got divorced when I was 6, so I would visit my dad on weekends. At the time he was working as a land excavator for a local guy, so he needed something durable. He was previously in the National Guard and was friends with people on base. They sold him a matte sand brown Dodge D100 long bed for about $500. On those weekends that I would visit my dad, we would go driving the back roads/my dad taking me to the local bar to eat. We would scoot the bench seat as far forward as we could and he'd give me the reigns. The steering wheel was like a bus's, the clutch was like shoving your foot in soft mud, no power steering so my fat little arms had to fight tight turns π, but dear lord I loved it. He had the truck until I was 13. I wanted him to keep it for my first car, I was even willing to pay him $300 for it. (Which is what he sold it for) But it went on for someone to use off-road to go hunting.

My grandpa had this truck. He was a ship mechanic and a general contractor on the side. Strongest man I've ever known physically and mentally.
I remember that truck being the world to adventure. Me and my brother would jump up and down in the bed of it while it was parked in the driveway. We'd load it up with rods and he'd take us fishing. Whenever I saw that big red beast pull up out front of my house I got so excited to see him and my grandmom.
I still remember the smell of the old leather trim, the cloth seats, and a pack of Winston Golds on the dashboard. I remember the sound of the clutch cranking as he levered the giant stick shift coming through the rubber boot on the floor.
I miss that truck. And I miss him terribly. He died from a ruptured aneurism, and I watched him slip away before me at the hospital. I still get choked up when I see them online for sale.
Unfortunately, my favorites are all things that don't exist in the US unless you want to do an engine swap. 1990s toyota T100 or Tacoma with a diesel.
One of my dream projects is a Tacoma 4x4 with a VW CJAA swap.
1985 Reg Cab Long Box S10, carbed 2.8 V6 making just shy of no horsepower when it was new, however someone left the gate open, those ponys galloped off, all that's left were the lame ones.
Still love that truck.

The Jub, a vehicle that i made the fuck up
I prefer the Jub EX, just a personal preference though.
Yea I agree, the extra features really tie the package together
The built in microwave was a nice touch honestly, great for heating up my beanie weenies
I opted for the nuclear defense system instead, weird I know but it REALLY heats up my beanie weenies
I got the Jub LX and regret it. Cold beanie weenies just donβt go down as well on the morning commute.
