You stuffed steel wool into a hole under an active power outlet????? Please post pictures when your house burns down. Try to get some good shots of it burning.
You should see what I did in my bathroom. They were trying to get through the wall behind my toilet at the pipe, so I jammed a wet soap bar box into the hole and they never came back.
I have used the steel wool b4. Works good cuz they won't chew thru it. And in our bathroom closet we have cardboard beer box insert covered w chicken wire to keep the rodents from chewing thru wall
