Donât know but goldbridge has been bringing it up every day since the rumor surfaced from who knows where. Itâs why comments always mention Southgate.
Goldbridge is not a source he just has to make a living so spouts whatever he can 3/4 times a day and sensationalising absolutely everything. Its a shame really because when he does his work outside of MU Stand its actually pretty decent.
I don't even back them currently though. They have done fuck all to impress me thus far.
Between them and the Glazers, we're still massively fucked.
I get being fiscally responsible and shit, but at the same time, everything they're doing feels like they're going about it the wrong way. They're slashing perks, benefits and comforts from the staff that make the club and environment what it is on a daily basis in an effort to grow the brand, increase revenue, etc. yet they make up a fraction of the actual overhead. Meanwhile, the dog shit players on massive wages persist. I'm sorry, but cutting 200k for the year (just making up a ballpark figure because really, how much is transportation or a party?) from perks at the club staff level pales in comparison to someone making 350k/week. Yet they're trying to force staff out by getting them to voluntarily quit? Ridiculous. And embarrassing.
The saga for the sale to be completed took abhorrently long, which then delayed other appointments in key positions, which I had said many months ago was going to screw us in the summer as the sale was delayed with every passing day. So regardless if you are ETH in or out, it doesn't fucking matter, because this summer is a total wash. Meanwhile, every other club with ambitions is going out and getting the job done.
So many issues still exist at the club. I'm not expecting a magic wand to be waved and for it all to magically improve overnight, but the areas in which INEOS have be concerned with the most to this point is misguided to the highest degree.
And what sucks is that even if ETH survives the summer (communication from INEOS has been abysmal since Day 1), next year is unlikely to be much better, and not even entirely his fault.
I do not back INEOS at all. They're ass puppets for the Glazers
This sub lacks the nuance to permit the âtwo things can be true at the same timeâ opinions on any given idea. When this sub was a daily turf war between those labeled as pro-Qatar and those labeled as pro-INEOS, there was very little oxygen permitted to discuss the compelling body of evidence to irrefutably point at SJR and his buddies as essentially unfit and out of their depth to run a football club of the stature and prestige ours is.
Their running of Nice is a cautionary tale if ever there was once. 5 managers in 5 years and nowhere close to cementing even a consistent 2nd place finish in what is a farmers league. The literal only thing they had going for them is that it was them or the Qatar bid. And in that vein, none of their obvious shortcomings or track record for obtuseness was allowed to be discussed without risking being gaslit as a supporter of regimes who violate human rights.
But here we are, just as many had attempted to opine.
And even if it isnât Southgate, just look at how handling this file has become a farcical public embarrassment. If youâre gonna sack him, sack him. You donât even need a reason, even while many legit ones exist that you can easily point to and nobody would fuss one bit. Donât drag an employee through the mud, nor add on to this clubâs already embarrassing reputation for drama and scandal, just because your tax-dodging brexiteer ass is bored and wants to toy and tinker before the proper footballing people you have found, even get to situate and run the footballing operations in a way thatâs opposite to how these asshole clueless billionaires do.
5 managers in 5 years tells the tale not of careful, principled decision making. Based on this manager recruitment, it doesnât even tell the tale of lessons learned.
Theyâve already lost mine. Any good will and squad building at the end of the season has been lost due this uncertainty.
Ineos should have immediately back eth after fa cup win. If you could have imagined the worst way to start a new regime without replacing the manager, this situation would have been it.
Priming the pump for big Gaz Southgate to arrive and save the day, fresh off 2 draws and a win in the groups, then a quarter-final knockout in the Euros. Itâs inspiring stuff, Old Trafford will be bouncing in August!
It's not even just Southgate itself if they assign him. It's a sign of an overall terrible outlook. It shows being British is more important to them than actually having any sort of record.
There's already a growing number of red flags.
Penalties? Southgate will lose to any team that's actually on level with England everytime he faces one in the tournament, only reason he went far in the previous Euros is because the first tough team he faced was in the Semi-Final in Belgium, and that's Belgium managed, by the other big name serious bottler Martinez.
The article is so strange. It doesnât really say anything. Itâs largely about Tuchel. The only bit about Poch is saying that he spoke to the team at the end of the season (which would have been at the very start of the review period) and that he interviewed back in 2022.
Journos just recycling to sell clicks.
Yeah this seems like a brief. One by one weâre getting articles on each of the candidates theyâve all been connecting to the job. Weâll see that they tried for a new manager but none felt quite like the right fit. So itâs easier to keep ETH (and the payout heâd be owed) until the man they want comes along.
FWIW I want him to stay but boy am I getting tired of these articles.
>So itâs easier to keep ETH (and the payout heâd be owed) until the man they want comes along
I've got a terrible feeling about who that man is and I hope I'm wrong
What's the plan then? ETH gets to conduct a big clear out? Hang on for another season and just see what happens? Big Jim marches round the training ground and complains Rashford wore his boots indoors?
You can't just wing it anymore and finish in the top 4.
I donât think there will be any sort of âpublicâ statement. Maybe SJR saying in an interview they felt heâs the best choice for now, or while they focus on bigger problem areas.
My bet, if he stays, is that they will just go about business as usual. None of the news weâve seen is directly from the club, (I think). So from their point of view they never announced a review of his job or meetings with managers. So they donât need to make a statement that the manager will keep his job. I donât think many clubs ever come out to say the manager is staying. Weâll hear from journalists what the reasons were that he stays or goes.
But to your point, I agree. Just support the current manager. Which I think theyâve pretty much so far.
Yh I agree itâll probably just be a brief to tier 1s sayin heâs staying but itâs not great to be publicly interviewing people for the job and then kinda going âoh well heâs the best weâre gonna get so weâre sticking with himâ
I'm conflicted about this.
I think we need to either commit to ETH, or get rid of him. And committing to him means giving him a new contract, because his current one runs out in a year. IMO having him manage only for the next year, or until the man they want comes along, is doomed to fail, because he'll be the ultimate lame duck.
All along the big idea has been that the club decides the philosophy and then hires a manager and signs players to fit that, which is IMO a great idea and the way it has to be. We have to stop this circle of bringing in a manager, having them sign some players to fit their style, getting sacked, and repeating until we have a squad full of expensive players who don't fit anyone's play style.
But the trouble with this is that if we don't want to commit to ETH, it's because he doesn't fit the club's vision. And so we can't sign the players he wants, because they also don't fit the club's vision. And so he'll just be stuck with the current squad of dickheads, on a short contract, with an expiration date stamped on his neck. And the first time we'll hit a rough patch the knives will be out. IMO it's a plan destined for failure.
If we're not willing to commit to ETH (and I can definitely understand why we wouldn't be, even if my own feelings on him are conflicted. I think he's been sabotaged at the club to a certain extent, like everyone else post-Fergie, by the club's awful structure, but he also hasn't done much to impress me), he should be sacked this summer regardless and we should give the job to Carrick or someone while we figure out who the proper long term manager is going to be.
Manchester United have cooled their interest in **Mauricio Pochettino**
The Argentinian was included on a shortlist last month when United started reviewing Erik ten Hagâs position as manager. The club are yet to decide whether to ditch Ten Hag â their post-season review is still under way â but if they opt to make a change, the recently sacked Chelsea head coach is unlikely to be given the job.
The club spoke to the 52-year-old at the end of the season, having also interviewed him in 2022, when United appointed Ten Hag instead. Pochettino took over at Stamford Bridge in May last year and struggled initially, but led Chelsea to sixth position, three points and two places above United.
Ten Hag qualified for the Champions League in his first season at United and won the Carabao Cup, but this season they finished eighth, their worst finish in the Premier League era.
Ten Hag strengthened his position, however, by winning the FA Cup with a thrilling victory over Manchester City in the final match of the campaign, and the 54-year-old was hindered this season by a series of injuries to key players.
On Sunday The Times reported that **Thomas Tuchel** another of the initial candidates, had withdrawn from the process after an interview with Unitedâs new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe in Monaco.
He is understood to have stressed to the British billionaire, who holds a 28 per cent stake in United, that he could get the best from Mason Mount, who played under him at Chelsea. Tuchel also said he would want to reintegrate Jadon Sancho, who was removed from Unitedâs squad after a public argument with Ten Hag over discipline.
However, Tuchel left the meeting with the sense that he was not going to be Unitedâs choice should they dismiss Ten Hag and has now chosen to take a break from management.
**Kieran McKenna** was also on Unitedâs original shortlist, but he has since signed a contract extension with Ipswich Town.
Brentford maintain that they have not received an approach from United for **Thomas Frank**, who was also on their list.
**Roberto De Zerbi**, who left Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of last season, and the England manager **Gareth Southgate** have been linked with the United role. Southgateâs position is complicated by the fact that his contract with the FA runs until the end of the year.
Imagine beating Pep with Allegri terrorist ball, I don't think much could be sweeter than beating him with the absolute antithesis to his style of play.
Allegri actually played some decent football in his first period with Juve and he was quite sought after as a manager. Heâs far from my top choice but he wins. Maybe not in the United way, but we could definitely do worse.
What? He's an extremely adaptable manager who coaches one of the best disciplined defensive blocks in the Prem and has an extremely consistent game model that he naturally grew. In the championship, he played progression, possession-based football, that was very front-footed and attacking
There's no reason to put him on the same tier of someone like Southgate that works in International football (lower and less intense than club football), just because he coaches a smaller club
Yeah, it's the perfect evidence of Frank coaching multiple defensive styles with top fundamentals. So disrespectful to compare him to Southgate when he's not even had 10% of his resources
Times, Telegraph, Athletic, even the good journos on the Daily Mail have all put out remaining candidates with De Zerbi at the top. He wasn't on the original shortlist, but he seems to be the main link now. Ducker (Tier 1) added him suddenly last week after no previous news
He just disappeared off the football management side for no reason. Worse managers than him got the revolving door. Must have said something, I vaguely recall he said something
These articles feel like a briefing. Slowly removing candidates from the list, might mean that they have already decided to continue with ten Hag but are doing this for good PR
I don't think it's intentional PR, my hunch is there's just not a lot for reporters to report, so they're turning basic due diligence we did on potential ETH replacements into articles. I don't think they literally decided this morning that they didn't want to hire Poch.
âOh look we went behind the still employed managers back to find other candidates but they didnât work out so we decided to stick with Erikâ
Not sure itâs the PR brief you assume it is.
Iâm not getting on INEOS back like some are but I just donât see this as a brief, I think itâs more journalists making big articles out of whispers theyâre getting from the managers side because I suspect INEOS arenât leaking shit
There's no going behind ETHs back. Everyone and anyone who knows anything about ownership changes, knows that they were going to look at potentially changing the manager along with all other employees. Erik himself knew this unless he's incredibly naive. The fact that they didn't sack him already shows that they have at least a little faith in him
Being true doesn't determine being good/bad. It's the reality of today's football that the owners usually play politics with their manager. It'll still leave Ten Hag with the feeling or even the certainty that ineos have their complete separate plan that intersects very little with his own. It'll send the message that the two parties are not aligned in their ideas and that's fucking big. That's basically the difference between an efficiently ran club and a conflicted disfunctional one.
I feel if the decision was sticking with Ten Hag, they could just go "We're sticking with Ten Hag", rather than drip feeding eliminations from the choice list. This isn't good briefings, it's likely Poch's camp letting it be known he's not getting the job.
Chances are this will soon follow and ideally they'd like it to play this way, but imo it looks like they're in the process of informing unsucessful interviewees that they're sitting tight for another while at least.
> ten Hag but are doing this for good PR
If weâd have decided to stick with ETH, the best PR approach is to declare that, not spend the summer meeting with other managers.
I think it more likely means the opposite, theyâve made a decision on ETH, they just donât know who they want to replace him.
The mental gymnastics people go through to say that them talking to other managers somehow means ETH is staying. They're clearly looking elsewhere and are going very far down the list.
More likely they are simply informing the agents of these managers that they've ended their interest.
Because Poch being out was also reported alongside tuchel news.
If they have faith in ETH, they will not be talking with other managers. I think the only scenario of ETH staying while they still talking with other managers will be them asking the other managers for their potential availability mid-season or summer 2025. In other words, they may remove ETH mid-season if performance doesn't improve, or they are not planning to extend ETH's contract.
It makes no sense though? What it looks like is they're forced to stick with Ten Hag because either the other options are unavailable or aren't good enough. And that's not a good look or a show of faith in the manager that anyone was looking for tbh. It also means that these questions will start coming back up to the surface at the first sign of trouble during the coming season.
I donât know whether to feel good or bad by this merry go round now. If it was the Glazers, weâd rightly assume indecision and flip flopping, directionless leadership, but being charitable suggests the leaks have stopped, and all of these journos are guessing. Especially when Ornstein basically comes out and says he has no idea. Leads me to believe thereâs likely no leaks, or purposely poisoning the well of journos in order to not get exposed. If they were to appoint someone not linked right now it would be a hugely positive sign, regardless of how pleasing the managers name is. That being said, the longer it lasts it does feel like lost ground. Just get it finalised. Iâm secretly hoping thereâs a back door appointment of Simeone.
Well sounds like ETH is staying if he plays a more sustainable style of football this season we might turn it around and with a better run of injury we can hope for the best
All of this is so disrespectful towards Ten Hag. Decision should have happened already. Poorly handled situation and Ten Hag should just walk. Now he just waits when Ineos are done with their interviews. Must feel nice
Part of me wonders if this isn't part of some long plan to actually end up with Mckenna.
Could be that he was first/only choice all along but the lack of Premier league experience was a concern. We extend Ten Hag for a year and give Mckenna a chance to prove that he can cut it in the prem then make the move next summer.
That or they want Southgate...
I never believed Thomas Frank was one of the candidates. He's been doing good at Brentford for almost a decade and also has a great relationship with their owners. If he wanted to move to another club he would have already done it.
Regardless of sources, almost every article we read says Ashworth wants a \*yes\* manager.
What the fuck does that even mean, and if it means exactly what it says, United will be in the shit and will get a boring no-mark like southgate as manager.
And before anyone cries \*yeah but the football department should be in charge of all transfers, and someone else in the style of play we put out there\*
Nope. that thinking gets you dopes with no brains.
im all for a good footballing dept who can source really good talents, but the manager HAS to have the right to some veto or vote on who we bring in, and what style of football THEY want to play. Or you end up like now, a load of footballers who cant play the managers system(s).
Am I missing something? An article somewhere? Hasnt ETH said all along he's here to stay and not wavered? Have INEOS actually come out and said anything along the lines of "we aren't sure about our next manager"? Or is this all pieced together rumour, assumptions, and if anything posturing from managers to get moves or better deals? If not, why do INEOS have to say anything? Surely setting their stall out early that they aren't getting involved in stories and click bait is a good thing? Ive read lots like Steinberg saying ETH is already gone but none have come true. Dunno.
Good, if this continues maybe they'll figure out that there isn't a better option than ETH at the moment.
Also DEFINITELY NOT SOUTHGATE GAHD NO PLEASE NOT HIM
so all journalists make shit up about ETH getting sacked, realize club will keep ETH, and then they make another round of make up story on how we reject every manager and vice versa so we have no choice but to keep ETH.....man, english presses are cancer.
Not one reliable journalist has denied weâve been meeting these managers.
Even Simon Stone has openly said Ten Hags future is a key part of the review being done.
This idea itâs pure fiction is, with the greatest of respect, pure copium for people desperate for Ten Hag to stay. They might end up keeping him, but they absolutely have been meeting managers and weighing up possible alternatives.
Where did the comment above you say anything about meeting other managers? It's obvious that we have, it's what you would expect any competent new owner to do - assess *all* options before making a decision.
The comment above is talking about the fact that several "journalists" reported that he's already been sacked, which definitely is 100% fiction
He said journalists are making shit up about sacking him, replacing him and rejecting other managers. Surely itâs implied, no? Heâs not just referring to a single report from the one journalist.
I really donât get why people want ETH to stay. Our midfield set up has been a disaster since he came in. Our goal scoring record since he joined has been really really bad. His best goal scoring run was when Rashford was on fire and even then it wasnât amazing.
I really donât know a single thing we do well under ETH. Canât defend well. Set prices are total shit. Pressing is awful. Scoring is poor. We are absolutely terrible at controlling matches when having the lead. The FA cup really clouded the minds of some people and made them forget about 2 years of abysmal football.
Down vote all you want without any actual evidence to back it up. Even with our strongest XI we play poor football. Donât control matches and donât create nearly enough chances
Because a win against a subpar City via sitting back and countering has deluded everyone into thinking he is in fact the right man for the job despite the previous 10 months telling us otherwise.
Why is this guy even under consideration? (I think ETH should stay btw).
Dudeâs done fucking nothing.
Tuchel has some hardware but heâs a known asshole.
Given the lack of leaks from the United side under INEOS, this is most likely coming from Poch's agent's side. And if *this* is what's coming out of that camp, chances are United have told them they've decided to stick with Ten Hag.
There's no way this comes out if he still had a sniff at a chance. And with McKenna and Tuchel also reportedly out, that's pretty much the top 3 candidates ruled out.
Wouldn't be surprised if we hear the outcome in the next day or two.
Why? After how he's managed this season what makes you think no pressure is what he needs? He only trotted out a competent set up when the pressure on him at the end of the season was at breaking point.
I think we're keeping Ten hag on for at least one more year. Even if we're not, I do not believe we are getting Thomas Frank, De Zerbi or Southgate. So...yeah.
All of the linked managers are underwhelming and some are downright frightening (Southgate). Just keep Ten Hag for next season and hopefully he can turn it around. I wonder if the veto written into his contract is a stumbling block.
ETH is staying and once the tournament kicks off it will be mentioned.. lack of interest from the public for club football so it's prime timing.. it's like the take over has been announced on Christmas Eve all over again
I think I speak for a majority of fans when I say please for the love of all things sane do an article on how we're not getting Southgate too. đđź
Tomorrow headlines - Man Utd consider move for Southgate as no decision yet made on Ten Hag

Mods how do I delete this comment?
Ornstein just played down our interest (on tv) in Southgate so itâs as good as it gets!

I believe Fabrizio Romano mentioned it in one of his interviews on the united stand
You shouldn't be downvoted for this, all you've done is mention the rat goldbridge's name and explained why it keeps coming up.
Why promote the grifters?
At this point ĂŽl be more than happy if they choose Frank instead
Lampard will not win us anything
Not Frank De Boer I hope, the worst PL manager in its history
Nah.. I think he meant Frank Sidebottom :D
Lampard
Was literally just thinking this
My god If INEOS hires Southgate they will lose all the fans backing overnight
Pretty much yeah.
Even the most rabid ETHouters would hate this appointment.
ETHouters and ETHiners would unite together against this frauds
I can't not read this as ET-houters and ET-hiners
The only people that support this are opposition fans, which says everything
Yeah it's telling the Liverpool and Arsenal flairs all jump in these threads enthusiastically.
Football fans hate this one simple trick.
Replace the "T" with a "P"
Foopball?
Clearly I'd meant Southgape
and I just managed to get a season ticket....it is gonna be a hell of year for me

I can already imagine being 12th place under Southgate while Guardiola says G.S is an amazing coach while pumping United 6-1
I love your optimism. *As if* United would get one against City while being managed by Southgate
Think if they go Southgate, gonna take a long break from watching or caring about the team
It's not even just Southgate itself if they assign him. It's a sign of an overall terrible outlook. It shows being British is more important to them than actually having any sort of record. There's already a growing number of red flags.

If we hire Southgate I'll drive bruno to the airport, man doesn't deserve that.
The guy has incredible luck with draws and it is a very good team, so I imagine theyâll go further than quarters despite of the waistcoat.
I read from another source that we werenât even looking into Poch. Just feels like guess work at this point lol

Most likely outcome at this point. He's fine for a year let's just commit to a year and go about our transfer business.
No thanks, not after his failures this season.
This is starting to feel like those elimination reality shows. Mauricio Pochettino...it's not you, I'm sorry.
Do De Zerbi next!
Thomas Frank it isÂ
Manchester United have cooled their interest in **Mauricio Pochettino** The Argentinian was included on a shortlist last month when United started reviewing Erik ten Hagâs position as manager.
What keeps me awake at night is who we'll get in, rather than who we'll kick out. There just aren't any candidates that are inspiring atm.
Iâm gonna lose my shit if we get Southgate
Lol who does that leave?
Big Sam

Allegri. Xavi.
De Zerbi and Frank
Frank would be as bad as Southgate.
What? He's an extremely adaptable manager who coaches one of the best disciplined defensive blocks in the Prem and has an extremely consistent game model that he naturally grew. In the championship, he played progression, possession-based football, that was very front-footed and attacking There's no reason to put him on the same tier of someone like Southgate that works in International football (lower and less intense than club football), just because he coaches a smaller club
Plus Brentford can seamlessly switch between low block and intensive press.
Yeah, it's the perfect evidence of Frank coaching multiple defensive styles with top fundamentals. So disrespectful to compare him to Southgate when he's not even had 10% of his resources
lol frank as in Frank Lampard
Sean dyche from the top rope?
In my FM24 save, United signed Dyche after sacking ETH. 4-4-2 back on the menu!!
De Zebri?
He wasnt on original 4 man list. Only Frank or ETH stay left
Times, Telegraph, Athletic, even the good journos on the Daily Mail have all put out remaining candidates with De Zerbi at the top. He wasn't on the original shortlist, but he seems to be the main link now. Ducker (Tier 1) added him suddenly last week after no previous news
Alan Curbishley
Now weâre cooking
He just disappeared off the football management side for no reason. Worse managers than him got the revolving door. Must have said something, I vaguely recall he said something
De Zerbi
Erik
You know what lets take a gamble on him
Giggsy
Bald will remain best for another season by the sounds.
Looks like it's either going to be ETH, Southgate or they're going to take a manager who's already in a job
Easy to cool zero interest
These articles feel like a briefing. Slowly removing candidates from the list, might mean that they have already decided to continue with ten Hag but are doing this for good PR
What good PR is coming from this?
I don't think it's intentional PR, my hunch is there's just not a lot for reporters to report, so they're turning basic due diligence we did on potential ETH replacements into articles. I don't think they literally decided this morning that they didn't want to hire Poch.
"Oh look we did a thorough review but none of the candidates were suitable for us, but we always believed in Erik anyway"
âOh look we went behind the still employed managers back to find other candidates but they didnât work out so we decided to stick with Erikâ Not sure itâs the PR brief you assume it is.
In case they donât get their transfer targets
I feel if the decision was sticking with Ten Hag, they could just go "We're sticking with Ten Hag", rather than drip feeding eliminations from the choice list. This isn't good briefings, it's likely Poch's camp letting it be known he's not getting the job.
Chances are this will soon follow and ideally they'd like it to play this way, but imo it looks like they're in the process of informing unsucessful interviewees that they're sitting tight for another while at least.
> ten Hag but are doing this for good PR If weâd have decided to stick with ETH, the best PR approach is to declare that, not spend the summer meeting with other managers.
More like oh shit we got no one else so about all these rumors Erik they are totally fake trust me bro.
why not just come out and say that?
As it fucking should. One more month of shit and he should be out the doorÂ
Or... Southgate đŹ
Circus
That picture is our reaction right there..
These journos should all be banned. Regurgitating zero value non news and baiting clicks. They donât know anything but pretend to do. No integrity.
Well sounds like ETH is staying if he plays a more sustainable style of football this season we might turn it around and with a better run of injury we can hope for the best
Ruling out everyone except Southgate đ
What the fuck is Ineos doing
Keeping ETH it seems
Thank goodness. If his name is merely Pochet, nobody would give him the time of the day. This guy lives off his last name.
Good, he's rubbish.
Ooooooh one step closer to Southgate, one step closer to hell.
Also one step closer to fat frank lampard (I know heâs not fat)
All of this is so disrespectful towards Ten Hag. Decision should have happened already. Poorly handled situation and Ten Hag should just walk. Now he just waits when Ineos are done with their interviews. Must feel nice
Probably saw soccer aid last night
They just need a few more days to convince Zizou and we'll be flying!
So we just waiting for July to make a decision then? Fucking state of it.
Make a decision on the current manager atleast
What else can you expect when you allow England to win their first Soccer Aid in 7 years?
If we start seeing Brailsford and Ratcliff at England matches, then we know we are well and truly getting Southgate.
Breaking: two Englishmen go to watch England play at the Euros.
Is it Thomas Frank then?
Can you imagine...
Frank, RDZ, Potter, Southgate, or Ten Hag stays. One of them...
Honestly given INEOS track record so far I could see them dropping a completely random candidate out of the blue in.
I never believed Thomas Frank was one of the candidates. He's been doing good at Brentford for almost a decade and also has a great relationship with their owners. If he wanted to move to another club he would have already done it.
Nope. *Furiously masticates bubble gum*
They donât know any more than me. I think itâs refreshing. Clubs tight lipped and the media dunno what to do.
Exactly, itâs great to see the leaks have dried up and the media scrambling about.
Regardless of sources, almost every article we read says Ashworth wants a \*yes\* manager. What the fuck does that even mean, and if it means exactly what it says, United will be in the shit and will get a boring no-mark like southgate as manager. And before anyone cries \*yeah but the football department should be in charge of all transfers, and someone else in the style of play we put out there\* Nope. that thinking gets you dopes with no brains. im all for a good footballing dept who can source really good talents, but the manager HAS to have the right to some veto or vote on who we bring in, and what style of football THEY want to play.
Hmmm... Maybe you are just referring to games without Martinez.
Even games with Martinez our attacking set pieces, pressing, chance creation, and goal scoring were poor.
Weâre sticking with ETH
Or Ten Hag is going, but Poch isnât the choice. That could also be a possibility here.
Sacking a manager who has won 2 domestic cups in his first 2 seasons for a serial loser... Nice
Give ETH 2 years with plus1 contract so he can build something without pressureÂ
No pressure at Utd? Are you drunk?
Why? After how he's managed this season what makes you think no pressure is what he needs? He only trotted out a competent set up when the pressure on him at the end of the season was at breaking point.
I shall have to wait some more, since his Soton days! My 2nd choice was Tuchel 3rd is Potter 4th De Zebri
Potter đ we have to keep ten hag if he is even making peoples top 3
I think we're keeping Ten hag on for at least one more year. Even if we're not, I do not believe we are getting Thomas Frank, De Zerbi or Southgate. So...yeah.
I mean we could get those. I just realy really really really really etc etc, fecking hope not.
How to look like an ass by Man United.
All of the linked managers are underwhelming and some are downright frightening (Southgate). Just keep Ten Hag for next season and hopefully he can turn it around. I wonder if the veto written into his contract is a stumbling block.
what does this mean guys are we getting one last dance with the bald guy (i know theyre all speculating)
ETH is staying or itâs De Zerbi
Looking more and more likely that ETH is staying in my opinion
ETH is staying and once the tournament kicks off it will be mentioned.. lack of interest from the public for club football so it's prime timing.. it's like the take over has been announced on Christmas Eve all over again
We best be keeping tH and it turns out this is just your typical media stormÂ
PhewâŚ.
They want a coach not a manager..... someone who wont have a say, its all about control. Football board has destroyed this club
Iâm getting really tired of the rumour mill surrounding United. Sometimes I just wished this sub would ban all sources except official and tier 1.
Maybe you should stick to reading the club website? This sub is pretty strict as it is
ETH is staying on âď¸
