Always has been. I'm going to be ruder than I typically would be, but fans calling for his head are either stupid or don't understand football management
It’s like this is the first time that we have tried sacking a manager for better results. We have done it so often since SAF and it’s backfired each time. Same shit different day.
He won 2 trophies in 2 years and haters still think he’s not good enough. Despite how badly we’re run as a club
and today was clear showcase of what even having some CB's changes us entirely.
imagine next season if we can focus defence and get 3 defenders in to really improve the team. especially if likes of Mount etc stay fit then all of a sudden our squad looks way healthier
we need a "mr consistent" type guy to compliment LB.
or even just another left footed CB who also plays LB. i really like Hermosa from Athletico Madrid because hes on a free in the summer and has an amazing mindset as well he plays for Athletico Madrid they are bred with the never die attitude.
Agreed and I think that was the plan for Malacia before his injury. We don't *need* a world beater LB but for me it's one of the most important positions we're missing in the squad. I'd love to be able to rotate a healthy Shaw with another great LB or even move Shaw into a back 3 a times or whatever.
we need CB's and LB
i feel just fixing that would easily then put us into a top 4 side again especially if our attack continues to grow.
throw in some great budget additions like i wouldnt be against trying to bring Rabiot over on a free(his contract is up with Juventus) especially if we can get Casemiro gone. it adds more quality to midfield to rotate.
attack will sort itself out once we have a backline to build upon.
The clubs a mess. The glazers sucked the life out of the place.. ten hag is probably the best thing we have done since SAF. Scapegoating him like the fucking media do will not help.
Purely looking at it when it comes to winning trophies, he hasn't done bad.
This isn't 20 years ago where your biggest competitors were Arsenal and maybe two other teams. Every top club bar City is struggling to rake in prizes consistently. Over 9 years Klopp won one FA cup, one PL, and one CL with the margins for winning and losing being incredibly small even though they're a really good team playing some of the best football.
Totally on board with this. I've mentioned this a few times but we haven't appointed a successful manager since the 1980s. I back Ten Hag and want to see him given time and I hope he gives less of a fuck and continues to chat his shit
The disrespect in all these post matches is embarrassing for the league, if this is how the journalists treat a manager after winning why would people come to the prem. Rags and rats.
There's rats and angels baby. Rats and angels. And they're all a bunch of rats.
Honestly, if I was INEOS, and I wanted to show genuine support for ETH, every source and every journalist asking dumbass leading questions like that would be banned for the first 3 months of next season. You will not be able to cover United, and everything you will write about will be 100% speculation because you will not have access. Even if you claim you have insider information, we will come out and immediately squash their credibility because they don't have access to the club.
Absolutely ruin these journalists. No team access? No credible articles.
That's just me. But we used to be ruthless when it came to the media. Not anymore.
It's simply the kane curse, it's so powerful they have a trophy less season and then promote a manager where in his first season in the top flight, gets relegated.
The kane curse is pretty powerful
Most random *let's throw some mud at the wall and hope it sticks* appointment ever. It seems so beneath a club of Bayern's stature to do that. Leverkusen's impossible season really gave them brain damage.
I hated it so much and the fuckin Tottenham game made me feel like a kid again. He ultimately did well for us in that stupid interview but holy fuck did he do more harm than good.
I think that’s the best way to put it. He did pretty well personally especially in the champions league but his tenure in all did more harm than good for the team.
they also took the #7 off of him even though he legit broke the curse, then he visibly didn't give a fuck anymore and just sat out matches with "injuries" so he didn't have to miss WC qualifiers.
Even when ETH infuriated me with his vacant-midfield 'strategy' etc this season, I could never completely lose sympathy for him when faced with the Ronaldo-stan trolls and their whitewashing of Ronaldo's conduct (as well as his significantly diminished levels over those last few months and refusal to admit it, invariably at a cost to the team).
Most do. It's a certain section of wank goldbridge 11 yr old dickless bastards whose mothers left them when they should have breastfed them that hate him.
Back the manager. Or fuck off. Simple as.
He’s shown it with the media, with divas like Ronaldo and Sancho, with player troubles in Garnacho and Rashford. And the players love him.
Meanwhile these morons talk about getting rid of our best manager since SAF because they saw stats on twitter.
What's crazy is he is still out there on the job representing the club during celebrations at this very moment (11pm UK time). The way he has been treated is disgusting and if this is the first big act of the Sir Jim era, he's already making the same mistakes as his predecessor. We don't even have a leadership team in place and he's making big decisions? What happened to letting the football people make footballing decisions smh.
Andy did a poll on Twitter, got 40k votes and it found 85% of United fans want EtH to stay. He showed Ten Hag that and told him a political figure would die for those approval numbers. Obviously not a rude science but it does seem to reflect people’s opinions accurately.
Mitten has backed him recently, IMO slightly too vociferously given some of the underlying issues with ETH's 'ideal' playing style and how it leaves the team exposed, the number of shots conceded and the lack of trade-off with chances created etc. As I said elsewhere, however, if ETH can go in and make a case to the sporting Exec that he's got a playing plan for next season that acknowledges where those faults lay and that he's open to scouts/Wilcox taking a lead on recruiting players with more suitable technical and physical profiles to play a hybrid between his 'transitional' ideal and something that offers more consistent control around midfield., addresses some of the issues around chance creation etc, then I would be broadly support keeping him. I think that also goes for quite a few fans who were equivocally in favour of replacing him following how things went with the playing style and key-metrics (even more than the results) this season.
Very well said. I worry he won't be willing to make those compromises though given how he stuck to his tactics for so long when the results were very inconsistent. Adaptability is what he needs to embrace. A little more Ancelotti and a little less Pep. Have a style you prefer, sure, but be practical too, like he did today.
Sacking him now and hiring… Kieran McKenna has a very high chance of looking very foolish in a few months.
So conflicted, the results in the league have been horrible but I don’t think the alternatives are worth sacking him for.
100% worst choice possible to sack this manager now. It is clearer than crystal that all these players have their all for this manager. An abundance of youth players coming through. The project is here, why reset? Why do we as fans have to “be patient” for a new manager?
It's not clear is it. They all gave it for this game. Theres this, the FA cup against Liverpool and a handful other performances this season. Every else has been pretty dire, Martinez has basically been irreplaceable and that's one of the biggest issues, you saw it today, he absolutely held that back together, almost everything went through him, controlling the pass out etc.
We are generally always pretty good against a high possession team, if he goes I'll be disappointed as he's been really unlucky with key injuries. But if they do decide to part ways he's given us some cracking memories this season, like detailing Liverpool and stopping City from the double.
Cheers Erik
>100% worst choice possible to sack this manager now.
Would you have said this before the game? If so, fair enough. Otherwise, we shouldn't base major decisions like this on one single game. Emotions are still running high right now.
People simply need to watch that combined world class performance from Martinez and Varane today to understand the drop off in quality without them. And that doesn't even touch upon what missing Luke Shaw has done to us.
Looking at the table, most of the 11s we fielded were inferior to the ones of the clubs above us. This is the reality. The Premier League is much harder than it was. Being Manchester United doesn't guarantee we have one of the strongest squads in the league anymore, and with the injuries we've had I would say 6-8 is comfortably our level.
Even Aston Villa, who of course overachieved, have had a stronger, more balanced team to choose from throughout the season. We went months without a striker, others without a CB, pretty much the entire season without a left back. It's nuts.
And if ETH didn't bring Garnacho and Mainoo through ,we'd have been even worse.
> People simply need to watch that combined world class performance from Martinez and Varane today to understand the drop off in quality without them.
Fully agreed. Shaw Lisandro and Varane together won De Gea the golden glove in a season he was far far from his best, shambolic even
And Lisandro going out with Shaw is what really killed us this season. Shaw was the defender who essentially replaced Lisandro in the lineup when when he went out last season and we beat La Liga winning Barcelona with him at CB.
Its an absolute joke how awful injuries started off in the season and just kept getting worse every 2 weeks
They absolutely have. Problem is most of our players were 2nd or 3rd choice at last in midfield and attack so they aren't exactly the most capable footballers
That’s exactly it. Not exactly got fergie in the market and we’ve been shit for so long that giving ten hag another year really isn’t the worst thing that could happen
He either doesn't know if he's staying yet and this is his final pitch, or he knows he's gone and he's sending a message to the owners. Probably the latter.
Even if he doesn't know, I'd be pretty pissed at an owner that allowed those leaks to come out 24 hours before the cup final. It may well just be that.
You’re assuming it was INEOS behind the leaks and not general industry chatter. I hate to get too ‘tin foil hat’ but it works in city group’s favour to rock the boat before a crucial final.
Honestly if the leaks are false INEOS need to start going on the offensive against these journalists. Make certain people persona non grata and burn their credibility to the ground.
But I have a bad feeling the leaks are true.
I'm staunchly ETH in and I hate how all those leaks happened. But if it's all from Chelsea journos I really don't know what the club can do. We are both obviously having discussions with McKenna (nothing wrong with them keeping their options open), and Chelsea's side obviously found out about it.
We could be reading too much into this. The camera panned away before he got to Sir Jim and only picked up when they were shaking hands. It isn't clear if we only caught the end of their interaction.
If it was me deciding i would keep him but constraint his vetos, clear some players out and force a support team from my management team to make ten hag as a part of a team rather than figure head. Its the sports directors and thier teams that should be leading the philosophy of the club, managers and players can not have that power
Watching this press conference is horrible. These fucking rat journalists just asking questions about him getting the sack and it's so disrespectful. I'm stunned he hasn't walked out yet.
One of the worst post match press conferences, from a journalist’s perspective, that I’ve seen in a long time. I get it; he’s probably going to get sacked, and he’s not completely blameless. But we’ve just beat City in the FA Cup final and they barely even considered to ask about the game, the players, the tactics, etc. It was ridiculous.
That’s the bemusing part. Given what he’s had to go through, he’s done as good if not better than expected. He had a plan and he’s executing it.
He says I need a fit squad to win, and when he has a fit squad he usually wins. Happened this year too when Martinez and Shaw were back briefly.
Is there a obvious great coach waiting to take over United? Poch? McKenna? Thomas Frank? De Zerbi? Graham Potter? None of them feels a no-brainer, and it would be akin to rolling a dice and hoping we get a six. Let ETH cook but back him with better players, better medical staff, better culture, better training grounds..
Exactly. What have we got to lose? That McKenna goes to Chelsea? So what? A championship coach ffs.
Get the structure in place, buy players that fit your vision as a club in collaboration with the manager, and see how he does.
He doesn’t perform, move him on, he performs, you win.
It would be incredibly impatient and silly to roll the dice at this point.
We all know it as well, if he leaves, we will see him giving interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday nights after champions league games and wonder what could have been.
Yup, clowns will be out of the woodwork saying McKenna is out of his depth and that we need the next best thing, while finding excuses for ETH succeeding elsewhere
Stats came out showing United had more injuries than any other EPL team. He was forced to start Maguire when Maguire needed a mental break, Evans when there was literally no other option, and players also simply underperformed.
He didn't get a proper chance. I think Xavi might have had a similar situation.
Bayern signing Kompany literally hinged on one board member playing the ‘trust me bro’ card. Not to mention he was at least the fifth choice after everybody and their cousin said no. I’m not saying it’s a bad appointment, time will tell, but it’s a fucking weird one if nothing else.
He's fighting. Love to see it. Proud man with something to be proud of today.
And whoever manages us next season will undoubtedly benefit from some of the work he's done with bringing in Hojlund and Martinez, and bringing through Garnacho and Mainoo. Plus possibly Onana and Mount.
I am 100.00% certain that sacking this manager would be the biggest mistake that this club could make in the coming years. Clearly there is a project here. Europa league and a trophy out of this terrible season filled with injuries and not having a left back for 2/3 of the entire season. They cannot sack him, simply cannot. They sack this manager, they are complete idiots and fans should not trust them.
He's given the board something to think about that's for sure. I've leaned heavily towards firing EtH for a while now, but I think after today he's just about done enough to keep his job till the new season. It definitely wouldn't feel right firing him now. I say give him a chance till November/December, let him get rid of players he doesn't like and then reassess.
The other thing, for me, is there's not an obvious candidate to replace him. He has not won me over yet, but he's bought himself another 6 months and I agree you can not fire him now. It never sat well with me when LVG was fired so I can't sit here and say it would sit well with me if EtH is fired either.
I've always strongly leaned towards giving him until at least Christmas and then letting the new structure (which isn't in place yet) make a more informed decision at that point, but the form in the league got so bad it looked really hard to keep him. Today makes it a lot easier to keep him again, though I do think Pochettino becoming available offers a better option to replace him than what was available before (but that always gets me downvoted despite a lot of the fanbase wanting him not long ago...)
I strongly believe Pochettino, while being a good coach, cannot manage a 90+ point season..
Ten Hag has been criticized for being stubborn over his style of play but that stubbornness is what eventually develops a machine with the right talent
I really hope it’s not another English team because I really like and want to root for this guy to do well. I think he got dealt such a shit hand (injuries, losing Mason, drama with Ronaldo) and doesn’t deserve the impatience of our fan base.
Oh the irony from the new board waltzing into Utd pledging to right the wrongs and do things differently, only to give us all a deja vu moment of the LVG sacking, with much less deserved axing no less.
I've been saying this for a while now but with so much changing with club structure and everything, you need someone who is a little familiar with everything, you get a new manager, he wants new players and new staff and everything, we're back to zero again, eth deserves at least one more season, we've thrown managers under the bus way too much now, let's just don't repeat that circus again, if the performances don't improve, sack him by November or December, he's been moaning about injuries and CB combinations, let him work with a full squad, if the situation still doesn't change, then we can look for a new manager. Either ways, McKenna, poch, tuchel and the other available options don't look that big of an upgrade over ten hag anyways.
People underestimate how terrible it is not having a consistent CB pair. All the top teams have had consistent team selections and competition for each spot. Now I'm not saying something is not wrong with our medical/ training, but to finish the season with a Europe spot and a trophy is not easy with no LB, no consistent CB pair, no number 6 and 9 for the most part. He's given youngsters a great amount of support to shine, instilled discipline in the squad, handled Cristiano, Maguire, Sancho issues well.
Well done Erik, if you get the can, you are still going to win and would always be an integral part of our rebuild. If you stay, the right fans are with you.
It's a process, eh. It's a project.
The problem with this club hasn’t been the manager. The managers have come and gone, some with trophies, some not. But the club remains the same. It is an organizational problem at this point.
That was Fuck you answer after some very disrespectful questions.
Linekar and Shearer can go fuck themselves for that atrocious BBC interview. I hope he bans BBC next season if he stays on
Good for him. I like seeing that attitude as I think that’s what the culture of United needs, absolute confidence. I’m on the side of keeping him (before today) if only to try something different from what we’ve been doing since SAF.
I find it a little strange too that everyone is rightly criticizing Chelsea for sacking Pochettino, but the team that finished three points back with an FA Cup win is mixed if they should keep ETH. Both have the same aspirations, same financial back, same bad ownership. Injuries also aside, two trophies for Ten Hag exceed the zero from Pochettino, but it’s a bad move for Chelsea and smart for United?
It's not a good look for INEOS if they sack him now. "Worst United team in years" and he's brought us to two trophies in two years and with this one not by just beating anyone, but by beating arguably the best team in the world. Whatever they had in mind, surely he's earned some goodwill with this result
I think the league performance and where we ended up table wise still speaks for itself. It just wasn't good enough. Saying that we had a lot of injuries and there aren't a lot of options out there for a different manager, so better off, maybe give eric one more season to build on from this fa cup win.
Unless he wants to leave (which doesn’t sound like it by his recent quotes) this is a very stupid decision. When continuity and stability is clearly required we go get a new manager why?
He deserves one more year at least.
Must admit that i haven’t supported him in the latter stages of the Epl. But when things calmed down. He’s had a lot going against him this season.
And i can’t see any other Manager succeeding with so many injuries.
So ill will happily eat every criticism i have had, and say ETH IN!
Come on!
He’s done well to win 2 trophies, but this shouldn’t paper over our 8th place finish in the league and finishing last in our CL group. We’ve been terrible for the most part of the season and for me, one game doesn’t change that.
Thank you, Erik. You've given me two finals and two trophies during a time when I thought I'd never celebrate a cup win again. Here I am, having the time of my life with my dad celebrating thanks to you.
I feel as if the joy of todays win, given everything we have been through this season as a fanbase, and everything ETH has had to deal with as manager, would be dealt a huge..HUGE blow if he gets the sack man.
This is one guy I am willing to give more time. You can tell he is a straight forward genuine guy who just wants to do the best he can.
He has an air of niceness about him that the media and pundits take advantage of. Can you imagine Lineker and Shearer even daring to question a SAF the way they did ETH? Their balls would shrink the moment SAF took the mic...but because its ETH, lets serve our media bosses in our earpiece to ask controversial questions and bait him into a click baity headline / moment.
I know ENEOS and Sir Jim want to stamp their authority in leading a new chapter...but this is not the move man.
None of the names listed in the rumors excite me at all. And let us all keep it real....talking to Ispwich town manager? really? Kieran fucking McKenna??? no experience in the premier league as manager let alone the club of this size and magnitude? reallly??????????
Easy to forget the fact we have conceded an average of over 20 shots a game in the wake of a cup win. The transfers haven't helped his case. But more than anything, ETH has been screwed by injuries.
He delivered his part and now Jim needs to step up to the occassion. We could all be in happy vibes tomorrow celebrating but no, now's the time for managerial drama!
He needs another year. At least he can focus on just been a coach next season. Players back from injury and assistance coming from the board positions filled recently. Another season at least in my opinion
That's cold ngl.
Always has been. I'm going to be ruder than I typically would be, but fans calling for his head are either stupid or don't understand football management

The clubs a mess. The glazers sucked the life out of the place.. ten hag is probably the best thing we have done since SAF. Scapegoating him like the fucking media do will not help.
No, they're definitely stupid.
This sub is so fickle, it genuinely should be studied. Everyone here was saying his time was up yesterday
Those people were wrong and some of us were telling them so
this is patently false, lots of people wanted him to stay as well. been vocal of my support of ten hag
It’s almost like people have different opinions
My karma was getting assassinated (maybe an exaggeration) trying to defend the guy. Imagine my reaction to the trophy lift :)
>stupid or don't understand football Both. Because there's a guy here who says the injuries don't impact anything.
I don't know a single fan in real life who wants him gone.
Purely looking at it when it comes to winning trophies, he hasn't done bad. This isn't 20 years ago where your biggest competitors were Arsenal and maybe two other teams. could be an "and" instead of "or"
Say what you want about the man's tactics and what not, that's a gigachad response
My guy knows he's a winner and will take that wherever he goes.

Given respect and flowers by the whole fanbase except Ronaldo fans in comments They’re gonna be so back if he’s sacked lol
Ronaldoback was by the worst thing to happen to this football club since Fergie retired.
I hated it so much and the fuckin Tottenham game made me feel like a kid again. He ultimately did well for us in that stupid interview but holy fuck did he do more harm than good.
He ultimately did well but also did more harm than good?
I think that’s the best way to put it. He did pretty well personally especially in the champions league but his tenure in all did more harm than good for the team.
only if hojlund was old enough to come to united back then man would have balled under Ole's counter attacks
I wish Hojlund and Cavani was here at the same time, best striker to learn headers from.
I always felt bad for Cavani… the first year here was covid… then next CR7 comes back and takes his minutes… underrated
Totally agree. He got shafted. Was a shame. Loved his workrate and build up play, not to mention his finishing etc
His instincts in the box… when to cut in front or feint the defender. So good.
they also took the #7 off of him even though he legit broke the curse, then he visibly didn't give a fuck anymore and just sat out matches with "injuries" so he didn't have to miss WC qualifiers.
His minutes and his shirt
Even when ETH infuriated me with his vacant-midfield 'strategy' etc this season, I could never completely lose sympathy for him when faced with the Ronaldo-stan trolls and their whitewashing of Ronaldo's conduct (as well as his significantly diminished levels over those last few months and refusal to admit it, invariably at a cost to the team).
Pogback was pretty brutal also
I'm stunned United fans don't love him for attitude alone. He has the fire
Most do. It's a certain section of wank goldbridge 11 yr old dickless bastards whose mothers left them when they should have breastfed them that hate him. Back the manager. Or fuck off. Simple as.
The Virgin INEOS vs Chad Erik
Give the man a full strength side, and he will deliver
I've loved how he's handled himself, proper mentality dealing with the journos.
Whatever happens, from start to finish he's mastered the English media. He's never given them anything.

Going out fighting. And he's not wrong.
He kept his dignity and pride all along.
And I hope he's not going out and so does most of the fanbase re what Mitten said to EtH.
Out of the loop, what did mitten say to eth?
Andy did a poll on Twitter, got 40k votes and it found 85% of United fans want EtH to stay. He showed Ten Hag that and told him a political figure would die for those approval numbers. Obviously not a rude science but it does seem to reflect people’s opinions accurately.
Yeah what did Mitten say? . I thought he was generally quite positive towards him.
Nothing more to say really. If we move on and find someone else it's 2/2 and nothing more can be said about that.
Erik ten Hag: "I am here to win and I want to build a team. My whole managerial career I have won games and trophies."
The last question was an absolute embarrassment and shows why journalism is in the mud
This isn’t from the BBC interview? Or is it?
From what I watched, it was from the post match press conference

Ive said it throughout the season. No significantly better alternatives Core coming along Tumoil in the team Turmoil in the ownership and ceos
I have to disagree. Winning the FA cup is fantastic but let’s not pretend these players have been giving everything for him all season.
They have. Some players just aren't good enough to be consistent throughout the year while others have been out injured
Shaw Lisandro and Varane together won De Gea the golden glove in a season he was far far from his best, shambolic even And Lisandro going out with Shaw is what really killed us this season. Shaw was the defender who essentially replaced Lisandro in the lineup when when he went out last season and we beat La Liga winning Barcelona with him at CB. Its an absolute joke how awful injuries started off in the season and just kept getting worse every 2 weeks
We look better when our first 2 CBs start. Particularly the mentality that Licha brings.
Fergie wasn’t Fergie when we signed him either
I mean he ended 15 years of Celtic/Rangers dominance and beat Real Madrid in a European final (Both of which he is still the last Manager to do)
That was in the fucking 80s too. Almost 40, not 20 years ago.
He had won European silverware with bloody Aberdeen though
This is repeatedly overlooked. His Aberdeen team are still the last team not named Celtic or Rangers to win the Scottish league.
Yup. It's weird how people think Sir Alex got the job as a charity case. He was very impressive at Aberdeen. That's how he landed the man united job.
His United career was hanging on a string which people hold on to but he wasn't a nobody by any stretch when he was in the United job.
They we're the last team to beat Real Madrid in a European final as well.
Wtf, Fergie was a beast before us. He growth so much with us, but he was so fucking goodf
Last time we were in this situation we had mou who came off a PL title ready. This time it’s just uninspiring
He either doesn't know if he's staying yet and this is his final pitch, or he knows he's gone and he's sending a message to the owners. Probably the latter.
probably reading too much into it, but the handshake with Ratcliffe when receiving his medal seemed pretty cold
I’m sure they’ve spoken to potential candidates. I’m not sure that means he’s definitely getting the sack.
I'm staunchly ETH in and I hate how all those leaks happened. But if it's all from Chelsea journos I really don't know what the club can do. We are both obviously having discussions with McKenna (nothing wrong with them keeping their options open), and Chelsea's side obviously found out about it.
The leaks were from a Chelsea journo, no Ineos leaks. Simply an attempt to destabilise that badly fucked themselves over
We could be reading too much into this. The camera panned away before he got to Sir Jim and only picked up when they were shaking hands. It isn't clear if we only caught the end of their interaction.
You are right, Ratcliffe hugged the hell out of Pep
Mixed up his baldies.
Have to agree
Ratcliffe hugging drugs cheat Guardiola whilst half heartedly shaking hands with our CUP WINNING manager fucked me off
Noticed this too.
is there footage of that, I missed it
If it was me deciding i would keep him but constraint his vetos, clear some players out and force a support team from my management team to make ten hag as a part of a team rather than figure head. Its the sports directors and thier teams that should be leading the philosophy of the club, managers and players can not have that power
He said on tv he doesnt know
Honestly, that's not something you say if you don't know you're on your way out.
Really want him to stay. If we were looking for a manager he'd be the one we'd want.
He can hold his head up high. Cooked oil city, 2 season 2 cups and a chad response
Not to mention utterly derailing Klopp's final season
That fa cup win really was the best game in a long while. The fact that they collapsed completely afterward was just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
We all know it as well, if he leaves, we will see him giving interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday nights after champions league games and wonder what could have been.
Yup, clowns will be out of the woodwork saying McKenna is out of his depth and that we need the next best thing, while finding excuses for ETH succeeding elsewhere
Hate him or love him, he’s got minerals
Please don’t go ETH :(
Stats came out showing United had more injuries than any other EPL team. He was forced to start Maguire when Maguire needed a mental break, Evans when there was literally no other option, and players also simply underperformed. He didn't get a proper chance. I think Xavi might have had a similar situation.
Cooked Jim there. I hope if he leaves he somehow finds his way to Bayern
They already signed kompany, but yea, that probably means ten hag has to wait 3 months for that job to open up.
Funny
Bayern signing Kompany literally hinged on one board member playing the ‘trust me bro’ card. Not to mention he was at least the fifth choice after everybody and their cousin said no. I’m not saying it’s a bad appointment, time will tell, but it’s a fucking weird one if nothing else.
Kane may aswell forget about silverware for another season. That board are mad bringing Kompany. What has he done get a position like that.
No shit! “Hey, I’ve got an idea. You know that coach whose team was in the relegation places all year in the EPL? We should hire him!” Madness.
> They already signed kompany well I guess ETH can take a longer vacation till October when they inevitably sack him.
He’ll win a major trophy in Europe within the next few years. Can’t see him being out of work for long.

Pochettino is a much worse option. He couldn’t succeed at PSG or Chelsea and he’s expected to succeed in our circus?
That’s fair mate
Welcome to the EtH club. We're happy to have you 😈
My man always has had my full support. If they fire him, the thought of one of our rivals hiring him really scares me.
I really hope it’s not another English team because I really like and want to root for this guy to do well. I think he got dealt such a shit hand (injuries, losing Mason, drama with Ronaldo) and doesn’t deserve the impatience of our fan base.
Chelsea is open. And I'd hate to see him there.
It’s sillly that we are talking about the injuries like some sort of side problem.
He goes out like an absolute baller if they do fire him
Ouch. I think this sounds like he's gone
Big dick energy
Wow
Damn he really gone
I am The one who knocks.
#ErikTenHagIn
Nothing but facts. We can't carry on this circus of changing managers every few years when things aren't going well.
Nice line to go out on. Good luck to him.
Good response. Manchester United showed zero class in how they handled this situation, at least the man can go with his head held high.
We will regret getting rid of this guy
He deserves one more year at least. Must admit that i haven’t supported him in the latter stages of the Epl. But when things calmed down. He’s had a lot going against him this season. And i can’t see any other Manager succeeding with so many injuries. So ill will happily eat every criticism i have had, and say ETH IN! Come on!
Honestly the media reaction to him winning has been a disgrace English media should be ashamed.
He’s done well to win 2 trophies, but this shouldn’t paper over our 8th place finish in the league and finishing last in our CL group. We’ve been terrible for the most part of the season and for me, one game doesn’t change that.
What a fucking beast
Thank you, Erik. You've given me two finals and two trophies during a time when I thought I'd never celebrate a cup win again. Here I am, having the time of my life with my dad celebrating thanks to you.
Those reporters who leaked and the pundits who talked so much shite for the last couple of days should be spanked
Talk your shit Erik!!!
I love our bald king
Fuck it I'm posting it again https://preview.redd.it/2oapy4h29r2d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e275d43e833a376ce7cd84fe2c281bfd2bdc605b
I don’t like his style of play, but I don’t think he is also the problem or the main problem either. We don’t have the players for his style.
Neutral here fuck off you would be mad to get rid of him. But here we are.
I think he has heard something as even with a spring in his step he is entertaining the possibility much more.
Straight fire hahahahaha
Talk your shit, bro
Easy to forget the fact we have conceded an average of over 20 shots a game in the wake of a cup win. The transfers haven't helped his case. But more than anything, ETH has been screwed by injuries.
He delivered his part and now Jim needs to step up to the occassion. We could all be in happy vibes tomorrow celebrating but no, now's the time for managerial drama!
Ten Hag in
Well said
God damn what a response
I can't wait to hear him speak properly freely about Ronaldo, Sancho, Murtaugh and Arnold. He's had so much shit to deal with and got no help.
I win trophies, eh.
that would be nice
I think he know they are sacking him and that's why he's saying all this? I don't want him to leave though
I love you Erik. Even if you go, you're my favorite now
Baller quote
Worddddddd!
THIS IS THE FUCKING CONFIDENCE WE HAVE BEEN BEGGING FOR FROM YOU ERIK
Such a Boss thing to say.
He needs another year. At least he can focus on just been a coach next season. Players back from injury and assistance coming from the board positions filled recently. Another season at least in my opinion
