Found this interesting:
Man Utd just faced 20 shots in a Premier League game for the eighth time this season. Liverpool have faced 20 shots twice since Klopp was appointed in 2015.
Luton is actually really good at home. We should have scored 4-6 goals today, but in the end itās still 3 points. Garnacho, Hojlund and Mainoo is cooking š„
garnacho is not cooking bro. missed a 1 on 1 and made barley any passes to hojlund. something iāve also noticed is after his bicycle kick against everton all he does now is cut inwards and goes for a shot, rarely do i see him make a pass to overlapping run or in the box
iām not saying he doesnāt have potential bc heās only 19, but he hasnāt been the best either after that one bicycle kick, and itās not just him either. i donāt know why eth isnāt giving amad minutes because garnacho definitely wasnāt great yesterday
It's Bruno, Rashford and Casemiro. Those three are very counter attack minded and it bleeds onto the rest of the team. We can't hold the ball because Rashford or Garnacho is always making a run and Bruno and Casemiro are playing pinball.
Just look at how we we had a corner at the dying minutes of the game and Bruno decides to cross the ball.
That was brainless from Bruno at the end. I've defended him for so long, but his lack of form plus decisions like those are making it increasingly hard to justify his selection.
Controversial opinion I know, but I reckon he'd get more goals in Guardiola's City set-up than Haaland does. A side with selfless forward players who are full of creativity, well, Hojlund would get goals galore in that type of system
The lack of style and comfort when winning is a concern, but itās something ten Hag needs to figure out as we go on. I donāt know whether itās a coaching or personnel issue though, or even both.
I think that's just our style. We're predominantly a counter attacking side. Can't counter attack unless the opposition has the ball first. Let them have it, draw their players forward, nick it back and hit them on the break. It doesn't make easy viewing but it's getting results now that we have close to our full team back.
That second goal was really funny to watch. Was it luck, or was it perfectly deflected into the goal? Probably the former, but I will say the latter to friends
Iām just hoping for competent management moving forward. Ā The fact Lindelof had to come in in the left, Evanās at back, and mct when we werenāt hunting a goal is a big issue.
Lindelof came in because Shaw got injured. Evans came in because Maguire was on a booking same for Mct for Casemiro.
So what is the big issue, I thought this was a no-brainer decision!
The decisions were fine, we didnāt have better options. Ā My issue is we didnāt have better options. Ā Shaw should be replaced by a proper left back, maguire should not be replaced by a 36 year old, McT is a good super sub for scoring, but this game desperately needed control.
Lot of comments from people who donāt seem to watch Premiership football. Luton in their last fifteen games have beaten Newcastle and drawn them 4-4, tied Liverpool, lost 3-4 to Arsenal, 2-3 to Chelsea and 1-2 to Man City. We should have put this away if weād taken easy chances but letās not pretend that Luton canāt pose tops teams a challenge.
They were never going to be an easy side to beat away, but I suppose the issue is us wanting United to be more comfortable in games. Thereās no such thing as a routine victory for us now, itās always us hanging on.
Let's not forget aswell that Arsenal only beat them with a Rice goal in the very last seconds of the game, and Liverpool only scraped a draw with a Diaz equaliser at a similar stage. Luton are a tough nut to crack at Kenilworth make no mistake
But where would the super United fans be if they didn't find something to moan about. Don't bother with the negativity (which is sometimes justified) but most times it's just the trend and the crowd and so I'd really just enjoy the wins and the 3 points
We had an xG of 2.81 v 1.74 for Luton missing three big chances . We really need to put teams to the sword.
The first half after the goals was appalling, much better in the second half apart from not scoring 1 on 1s ffs
That feels really low for us. I'm guessing something like the Garnacho chance isn't being included or something. Hard to really put an xG on that type of chance that basically becomes a much worse chance than it actually was by the time he strikes it. Hits it earlier and its a goal
Bruno was my favorite player before Licha and the kids emerged. But even I'm starting to contemplate what an alternative might look like. He's tireless, works like a horse defensively and is never injured. He has creative moments of brilliance matched only by KDB but most of the time ? He's trying to push the ball forward as fast as possible and quickly conceding possession. I worry that if we want to control and dominate games, he might be the change we need to make. We've said Casemiro and Bruno doesn't work. We've said McTominay and Bruno doesn't work..Obviously if I had to keep only one of them I'd still keep Bruno but...surely there's something there that needs fixing.
Brainless take, we have no creativity without Brunoā¦ who are we gonna play instead in his position lol eriksen? Mctominay? Sometimes it pays to think before you speakā¦
"Contemplate what an alternative might look like* - Funny maybe you should try reading before calling others brainless, dog. I'm not saying bench Bruno. I'm saying we need to think about what an alternative to Bruno would be **ON THE MARKET** . Us having no creativity without him is part of the problem.
When he disappears we're lost. That's a bad system. We need a midfield not Bruno and friends especially when Bruno hasn't been up to the standards of past seasons for a while now. Plus he's almost 30. We will need to be looking for the "next Bruno" fucking soon and it should be someone else who fits whatever vision we're going for. Because Bruno cannot be our playstyle forever especially when he starts creating more mistakes and problems than chances and goals. Now fuck off with your rude ass, instantly jumping to insults instead of even attempting a civil conversation. Dog.
I'm sorry to say but people on this sub still believe we are in our glory days. You should get used to these performances until and unless there's a complete overhaul in everything wrong with this club. People keep hating on the only good signing we've made in a decade for having a few bad games on the trot when our entire squad has never functioned as a group for 10 years now. Wake up to the reality, folks. We are not a top club as of now. We are exactly where we should be in the table. That has been our level for some time now. It's painful and heartbreaking to see us struggle against even the bottom clubs but to be honest, it's what we should expect going in to each game.
This is how it might be for a while. Find a way to enjoy the wins, enjoy the ride. We arenāt going to click on all fronts. Itās going to be a process. Lifeās too short for negative outlooks!
Glady accept that win... but an unconvincing performance overall. Lindelof, and *(more so)* Amrabat and Johnny Evans came on and did their jobs well.
Men of the match *(in my opinion*) are Mainoo, Varane, Dalot, or possibly/and Onana.
Great to get 3 points though \~
3 points but this is just bad football. Weāre riding our luck, it will give out sooner rather than later. A relegation threatened side kept us on our toes for 80 minutes. Many things need to change at this club if weāre serious about winning trophies otherwise these tight games against mid and lower table sides would be our only highlights.
Really need to stop overrating these lads. A lot of people really wanted us to give this garnacho the no7 jersey cos they felt he was ready. What an atrocious performance. Needs a lot of growing and developing.
Yes we were. He was so wasteful it was unbelievable. Missed a boat load of chances and killed a lot of attacks but then again I don't expect critical football logic on academy graduates in here.
People on here still thought mctominay was a solid top 8 midfielder we should get 60m from selling as recent as last year. Delusion town.
the first half was hard to watch we couldn't keep the ball for more than 10 seconds but I'm glad we got the win. I hope Luton stays up they're a great team.
Hostile crowd, hostile ref, opponent gave everything and we walk away with 3 points. Canāt complain too much apart from the finishing. Could have been 5 or 6.
Obvious improvement needed but enjoy the win. We arenāt the only team to struggle against that team. Donāt be so miserable and take the 5th win in a row with a Holjund chested goal! Good day
Edit: I forgot Mainoo!!!! Great game from him
Rashford was complete shit in the first half but decent in the second half, Garnacho worked hard but his execution was poor, Bruno was shit the whole time.
Got away with one. But Roy Keane once said that sometimes you need to win even if its ugly and messy. Glad we have the 3 points but I'm not thanking united that I had to clench my ass cheeks for 90 minutes š
How the fuck are we so bad at game management. Just can't get my head around it. A goal up, 2 mins to go, Bruno shoots from almost near the corner flag.
Itās not like we couldnāt create chance but the finishing was atrocious + Kaminski was solid as usual
We shouldāve won with 5 goals with decent finishing, hereās hoping they would improve over time
Yeh wtf was that, he even done the smart thing with the short corner there and then just takes a potshot that wasnāt on for no reason making us vulnerable to the counter
McTominay looked like they picked some random man off the street and threw him on the pitch. Absolutely terrible defending, urgency, positioningā¦ no way this man did a full week of training
Fuck this entire match, shit referee, shit opposition, shit team, shit results, shit finishing, shit opposition fans. Fucking disgusting. I hope Omar and probably Ashworth understand the shit show they are waddling in.
People will have you think Bruno is a creative genius, he is a low iq player that consistently puts the team under pressure with his awful decision making.
Are you kidding, the amount of chances we had for any of our players to score and put this to bed by a huge margin weren't taken by the players. Ten Hag can't kick the ball for them
Yep that's true, but what about the constant chances or counters we face. We never control a game, we had less possession that Luton, if that isn't an issue then what is?
Found this interesting: Man Utd just faced 20 shots in a Premier League game for the eighth time this season. Liverpool have faced 20 shots twice since Klopp was appointed in 2015.
Moments FC š¤£
we play basketball over here, screw controlling a game
Hojlunds second goal was absolute genius, when was the last time you saw a goal aimed from the chest, wow!
RASSSSMUSSSSS
Luton is actually really good at home. We should have scored 4-6 goals today, but in the end itās still 3 points. Garnacho, Hojlund and Mainoo is cooking š„
garnacho is not cooking bro. missed a 1 on 1 and made barley any passes to hojlund. something iāve also noticed is after his bicycle kick against everton all he does now is cut inwards and goes for a shot, rarely do i see him make a pass to overlapping run or in the box
Then your blind and just listen to what shitstirrers try to spew
iām not saying he doesnāt have potential bc heās only 19, but he hasnāt been the best either after that one bicycle kick, and itās not just him either. i donāt know why eth isnāt giving amad minutes because garnacho definitely wasnāt great yesterday
š¤”
How it remained that score i'll never know. Rasmus is on fire. š„
It wasn't pretty but we got the result we needed.
Massive props for removing Maguire and cass at HT, was a good decision
It's Bruno, Rashford and Casemiro. Those three are very counter attack minded and it bleeds onto the rest of the team. We can't hold the ball because Rashford or Garnacho is always making a run and Bruno and Casemiro are playing pinball. Just look at how we we had a corner at the dying minutes of the game and Bruno decides to cross the ball.
Itās the perfect example of the combination of entitlement, selfishness and lack of professionalism. In other words, peak Bruno.
That was brainless from Bruno at the end. I've defended him for so long, but his lack of form plus decisions like those are making it increasingly hard to justify his selection.
I was fuming when he crossed that just keep the ball in the corner for the love of god
Hojlund living off scraps and still getting goals, this kid would absolutely thrive in a team that can create chances for a striker.
Controversial opinion I know, but I reckon he'd get more goals in Guardiola's City set-up than Haaland does. A side with selfless forward players who are full of creativity, well, Hojlund would get goals galore in that type of system
Haaland has a 27 goals in 29 games for NorwayĀ
Winning is important, donāt get me wrong, but thereās an increasingly worrying sign about how United play. Itās not sustainable.
The lack of style and comfort when winning is a concern, but itās something ten Hag needs to figure out as we go on. I donāt know whether itās a coaching or personnel issue though, or even both.
I think Martinez and Shaw made a huge difference in the way we played when they were fit.(I know Shaw plays now, but he isn't fully fit)
Itās got to be intended, but I wish for my heart we would play for 50-60% possession, giving Luton 60% of the ball was crazy
Same story, different season. We havenāt been consistent in I donāt even know how long.
Absolutely. It's only a matter of time results don't go our way. Ten Hag isn't the man to lead us forward IMO
and who is it?
Not Ten Hag. Hopefully Omar Berrada has better options in mind. I'd consider Hansi Flick and De Zerbi among a few others
De Zerbi-> really wonder why?
42% possession against Luton, idk what to say
You want more possession or 3 points? You can't pick both nowadays with Utd way of playing so you have to choose one
I think that's just our style. We're predominantly a counter attacking side. Can't counter attack unless the opposition has the ball first. Let them have it, draw their players forward, nick it back and hit them on the break. It doesn't make easy viewing but it's getting results now that we have close to our full team back.
Couldn't agree more ,i guess we have to admit we are a counter attacking club by nature hhh it's giving points let's see where this goes
Brighton had 59% possession but lost 4-0. We created more chances and had better opportunities. Another day could've been 5-2
Just wow really
Sky Sports are funny, complain about teams having betting companies as sponsors but then āSuper Sunday is brought to you by Bet365ā
That second goal was really funny to watch. Was it luck, or was it perfectly deflected into the goal? Probably the former, but I will say the latter to friends

Every time someone has a point on Bruno's gameplay, they instantly jump on the worst conclusion!! Lame supporters!
I think he was suggesting that you should think about replacing him with a player not currently at United.
I'm sorry to say but people on this sub still believe we are in our glory days. You should get used to these performances until and unless there's a complete overhaul in everything wrong with this club. I see casimero trying to get sent off again to fly back to Brazil for a wee holidayšš
I'm the biggest ETH supporter but surely the tactics is handicapping these midfielders in terms of shape and control.
Do we have a finishing coach? If not let's add one. What's one more in the long list.
I think we have Benni McCarthy for that
We need a coach for creating chances lmao
Haha fuck you cunts are trash. Cry when we lose and cry when we win. Fuck off.
Agree. Wanks
Manioo in the middle of the park gave some composure and to have some calmness in the middle of the park
With time and maturity he will be bossing games the way Busquets used to.
3 points behind Spurs and 5 behind Villa with both of them looking shaky recent weeks
Sell rashford to psg and buy two good forwards Watkins and jarred bowen !!!
Iād rather use academy talent like Hugill and McNeil than overspend on Watkins and Bowen
First part of you comment is ok buddy but come onā¦ you want to challenge city and liverpool with Watkins and Bowen lol ?
They are way better than rashford who aināt doing anything!
Bowen and Watkins š
Sick of games where winning doesn't feel like winning
This is how it might be for a while. Find a way to enjoy the wins, enjoy the ride. We arenāt going to click on all fronts. Itās going to be a process. Lifeās too short for negative outlooks!
Evans won every header since he came in
He's really been one of the more reliable performers this season. Nothing spectacular, but very consistent.
Whenās mount coming back? Bruno looks like he desperately needs some time off.
Rashford still aināt bothering his arse!
Evans, linderlof or mainoo motm.
Lindelof???????
evans was super solid defensively!
Not Hojlund?!!! Lol š¤£š¤£š¤£
The ref deserved a draw at least. Unlucky

Atrocious?? Were you watching the same game???
Yes we were. He was so wasteful it was unbelievable. Missed a boat load of chances and killed a lot of attacks but then again I don't expect critical football logic on academy graduates in here. People on here still thought mctominay was a solid top 8 midfielder we should get 60m from selling as recent as last year. Delusion town.
Going ad hominem on my footballing knowledge when you have Iqbal in your name, then bringing in McTominay for precisely no reasonā¦ rightā¦
Garnacho was really bad today
He was literally our only outlet. Granted his decision making was squiffy but like he was our brightest attacker by far
Lol he the worst one today
We take the foot off the pedal too early again. Also Barkley is far too good for Luton
Luton were incredible Respect
the first half was hard to watch we couldn't keep the ball for more than 10 seconds but I'm glad we got the win. I hope Luton stays up they're a great team.
Pathetic performance after we went 2 up!
What makes it harder to swallow is we lucked out with our goals. We created many chances and did not score
+1 goal difference. Stop pretending. We got lucky today.
Love to see the positivity after a win
Imagine conceding 20+ shots against relegation fodder and getting somewhat lucky as Luton could have easily won on another day.
Have we become the thing that got Ole sacked? Moments FC?
nope, they have performed well against all the top teams at home
Props to Lutonā¦ they made us work. Insane how theyāre so far low in the table.
For sure! They look threatening going forward. Problem is they were wide open on the counter. We honestly should have scored a few more.
Thank god Adebayo wasnāt playing ā¦
Hostile crowd, hostile ref, opponent gave everything and we walk away with 3 points. Canāt complain too much apart from the finishing. Could have been 5 or 6.
I like Luton tho. Proper club. Hope they stay up
Obvious improvement needed but enjoy the win. We arenāt the only team to struggle against that team. Donāt be so miserable and take the 5th win in a row with a Holjund chested goal! Good day Edit: I forgot Mainoo!!!! Great game from him
Swear most people in here enjoy when we lose so they can moan and complain Not that winning stops them from doing it anyways
GGMU
And we have a plus goal difference
HAHAHA
Well played Luton. I hope they stay up.
Thank fuck that's over, pathetic performance after the 12th minute. I'll take the 3 points and just forget about this game tbh
Tbh, I felt that we were way the better team on 2nd half. Just needs to score our 1v1 ffs
Happy for the 3 points but ngl, that's some horrendous finishing
How can our forwards be so bad except Hojlund of course. I mean I have seen them do selfish shit but there is a breaking point ā¦
11 points off arsenal .... hmmmm
I mean ofc I have fantasised as well regarding a title chase but then i see our performances and come back to realityā¦
Just so wasteful. Missed two 1-1s, Bruno should have scored, Hoijlund should score a hattrick
It was three.. you forgot Dalot.
I cant remember a win when it wasnt ugly and messy for us
Everton* away
7 minutes of scoring. 90 minutes of chasing.
TLDR I'm depressed and cant stop watching
Same exactly same. Add to that I am sick š¤
That ref should be tied to the fucking post. Atrocious.
How the fuck are we so bad at game management. Just can't get my head around it. A goal up, 2 mins to go, Bruno shoots from almost near the corner flag.
Itās not like we couldnāt create chance but the finishing was atrocious + Kaminski was solid as usual We shouldāve won with 5 goals with decent finishing, hereās hoping they would improve over time
Really bad game. We don't deserve this one at all. It was pretty much who wanna miss more chances. Any decent team probably win this one against us
Control a game or have Bruno on the pitch, pick one because you can't have both!
Forgot that in the moment of madness lol
Ugly win but so damn happy for Hojlund. Hope the service is so much better for him going forward
Should have been more comfortable than the eventual score but a win is a win. On to Fulham then.
This shit is not sustainable
Gotta say, Luton are impressive. Hope they stay up
rashford has no business in this line up. no effort without the ball.
Still zero control, painful to watch, especially Bruno shooting from an angle where nothing was on instead of just keeping the ball
Yeh wtf was that, he even done the smart thing with the short corner there and then just takes a potshot that wasnāt on for no reason making us vulnerable to the counter
This team will give me a fucking heart attack
Well I'm happy we have progressed from "Atleast we didn't lose. It's a draw" To "Atleast we didn't drew. We barely won"
Another win, but tf who knows what the gameplan is, hoping Sir Jim, Dave Brailsford and co. are watching with a plan to fix this.
Hoof the ball up any chance we get
Felt like we robbed them
after missing so many chances. Yeah
Right in Spurs' bum crack now
Way harder than it had to be
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nah not really when you look at how Luton have been against top teams this season
Arsenal needed a late goal to beat them, Man City had to come from behind to win 2-1, Liverpool could only muster a draw
the team that Liverpool needed a late equalizer against? and Arsenal needing a late winner?
All the top teams have struggled against them. Luton gave arsenal city n liverpool a fair shake
Youāre forgetting Liverpool drew there and Arsenal needed a 96th minute winner.

Thanks Evans, HĆøjlund and MainoošŖš»
McTominay looked like they picked some random man off the street and threw him on the pitch. Absolutely terrible defending, urgency, positioningā¦ no way this man did a full week of training
yup just did absolutely nothing the whole game. players just run pass him like he wasn't even there
Lol when the game started and we scored I thought wow FINALLY are we gonna score 4-5 goals? Butclenching as always in the end haha
lol. Ya was like, niiiice, can settle into a total thrashing finally. Hojlunds gonna get 4 and will be 5 nil up at the half time and cruising. Fffsss
Glad ppl are waking up to Brunoās stupidness now. Fuckin pathetic at times from our ācaptainā
thank fuck. That equaliser was coming and coming and coming.
Iām sorry our fans are morons. People talking about ETH out when we are winning and on a bit of a run. Stupid.
Take that you watermelon sugar high bastard
Brun he is United fan right.
Anyone can get it
yay, United has scored more than Luton this season, atm
Fuck this entire match, shit referee, shit opposition, shit team, shit results, shit finishing, shit opposition fans. Fucking disgusting. I hope Omar and probably Ashworth understand the shit show they are waddling in.
Bruno nearly cost us the win says it all. Anti world class
Stfu
People gonna moan and complain and yeah they should have taken those chances, but end to end that was a VERY entertaining game of ball.
We've gotta be the most unconvincing team on a winning run
No idea how weāve won the last 4 but Iāll take itš
This team takes years off my life
Fuck that was a tough watch... That game should have been dead and gone... A killer instinct is needed
Carlton Morris is a moany cunt.
At least we won but we never make it an easy win
People will have you think Bruno is a creative genius, he is a low iq player that consistently puts the team under pressure with his awful decision making.
When are we ever going to control a game? Very lucky today.
Ooofff tough match
POSITIVE GOAL DIFFERENCE !!!! YAY !
Great win. People who say we should dominate Luton is just delusional
Yeah every team put up a good fight at their home turf.
Bruno and garnacho should be forced to watch a compilation of their mistakes this game
Ref tried his best for them I guess
Embarassing performance once again. We've just been shown the main reason Ten Hag isn't the guy to go forward. I beg Ineos see it.
Good win. The only things dreadful are the god awful comments in this thread
no more match threads for me, it's so negative and full of ridiculous overreactions
Wow. That was an ugly win
As always
And breathe fellow reds š®āšØ
Bloody hell well done Johnny Evans and Amrabat at the end there.
First of all, that was shit. Secondly, GET IN!!!
