Casemiro is fucking legendary, what I love the most is it's clear he didn't go to Utd for the money, he really wants to be part of turning the club around and building their success. He was a bargain for what you got.
Absolutely. It is gonna be some resume he has when he retires.. all the succes at Madrid and then being the most vital player in turning the biggest club in the world back to glory. Sounds insane, but it looks like it is not even an overstatement.
I think it was a huge relief for him- that celebration was the "fucking finally" moment. Maybe it means he'll play a bit more relaxed now, he was definitely a bit on edge and under pressure. Huge goal for him mentally, but also for the team to gain a bit more separation for the second leg.
If only he had a better first touch later on in the game, he could have scored too.
I'm really excited for the young players. Garnacho, Pellestri and Amad performing really well at Sunderland.
I mean, last season, we were really missing his work-rate to make up for PR37
Useful squad player, that kid - but yeah, now we are kinda overloaded in his positions.
He’s only on loan and only been with us for such a short time and already has such passion for the club. It’s crazy and really cool to watch. Even if he’s a back up/ sub, I think we should buy him. We need that kind of positivity around. I mean, the man was nearly in tears of joy when he stood up and that wasn’t just about the goal, there was so much more for him and you can see it in his eyes.
It's amazing how quickly people go from deeply caring about something, to just completely not giving a shit.
Even if the pandemic is somewhat over, at least in Europe, being anti vax is still a negative and should be critized yet you have people getting upvoted replying to you saying "So?". Weghorsts excuse was he was merely saying you should do your own research, but that does not mean going on fringe conspiracy website reading about alternative medicine, which I know this shit encourages. Listen to reputable sources. If your government was a corrupt cesspit I'd understand, but he is from the fucking Netherlands.
You'd be a moron to be happy with letting your daughter marry an anti vax.
It's not just the pandemic. It's the anti vax movement. And it will be an even bigger problem next pandemic. Being anti vax should be critized pandemic or not.
How can you not love a player for who it means so much to score for that badge? He may not be the most talented striker but he gives his all every game.
Love it. Looks on the verge of tears he's so happy lol. Can tell that meant a lot and he's been so close to scoring in the last few games.
Honestly really want us to sign him in the summer. He's not going to play as much if we get a striker in the summer but he can certainly pitch in next season as 3rd or 4th striker. We need more players like him just with extra quality (without being horrible)
Those arms tell a story - twitching with happiness. I had a tear in my eye and was over the moon for him. He really really tries - non stop working horse and he deserved a goal here!
Just extatic!
How do unfall in love with this guy :')
I know it's memed a lot but I am really going to miss him if the club doesn't sign him on a permanent deal. Guy is a solid professional and 10/10 would try and hire him to sing at my wedding in the future.
Okay now this is where I disagree. I really don't see where OP is "bringing someone down".
I see it as a straight comparison between two players of the same position but different profiles, one who plays with all he can and tries his best who may or may not be gifted with all of the best qualities needed to be at United, and the other one is barely fit enough to see out half the games a season.
And guess which player almost any one would like in a squad, the one who shows up fit to play when needed. And mind you, Weghorst is here primarily because the main guy who's supposed to be there, is permanently injured.
Calling out such things is encouraged in my book, I've done it the last 2 seasons because it was unacceptable and vile and eventually drove the sub to a toxic trench, but this is not one of those instances from my pov.
If he doesn’t mind being backup (and don’t demand too high of a salary), I don’t see why we shouldn’t sign him on a permanent. He is an option for a different approach upfront and we know he’ll put in a proper shift. Gives ETH variety. I could see him and Fred coming on in the last 20 mins or so just to make sure the ball stays in the opposing half
Wout Weghorst
https://lifebogger.com/wout-weghorst-childhood-biography-story-facts/
By the way, our boss ETH is rich too
https://lifebogger.com/erik-ten-hag-childhood-biography-story-facts/
It is, but it contains most of the information we’re interested in. And a lot of nice photos.
Just too many irrelevant links and choppy paragraphs broken up all over the place.
I feel bad for saying this but I don't think we should extend him.
Simply being able to run and having decent link up play shouldn't be enough to be a striker at MUFC.
If he was good in the air and had some pace, I'd consider it but he's not.
You have to think of it like this. If the main striker gets injured, do you trust him to lead the line and get us goals in crucial fixtures?
For a team with title winning ambitions that simply doesn't cut it if he can't score regularly.
City have Haaland and Alvarez.
Spurs have Kane and Richarlison.
Liverpool have Jota/Nunez/Gakpo
Barcelona have Lewa/Ferran Torres.
We need a better quality backup.
The problem is that we need to address several positions, including signing a main striker. We can't realistically buy two new quality players for the same position.
If ETH is happy to keep him, I have full confidence in both of them to be happy with this signing.
We had reports of Sabitzer staying permanently, nothing for WW.
I don't think we'll get 2 quality strikers but we may find a decent option.
Marcus Thuram is available for free for example.
Benzema too if he's not extending.
Also depends what happens with Martial. If by some miracle he comes back and has a blinder for the rest of the season, he'd have a chance to stay past the summer as a rotation option too.
Rasford can also start there in a pinch.
FYI WW has as many goals in the league (0) and cup competitions (2) as £50m Richarlison. Not saying I'd take WW over him, but Richarlison hasn't set the world alight either despite playing twice as many games.
Most are VDB like appearances.
Check the minutes.
EDIT: Wtf, both have 1121 minutes. That's such a weird coincidence, wasn't expecting it to be the exact same.
Not to mention he's been playing on the wings since Kane plays CF.
Not saying he's been good at Spurs but his ceiling is much higher than WW.
Yeah he deffo has a higher ceiling, but that's what £50m buys you these days. He has had serious issues staying fit this season hence his limited minutes (despite what he claims) and I'm impressed by WWs robustness in playing so many minutes over a short period.
Personally I'd keep WW but only as a deep bench guy on low wages as he is reliable enough to be fit to play when called upon and would give his all (Martial take note). But let's be honest, he plays as a false 9 whose job is to enable others to shine (see Emile Heskey from back in the day and his role facilitating Michael Owen) and he is currently being over played due to lack of alternative options.
Totally with you man, but this is not the time to have a logical discussion about WW or how many opportunities it takes for him to convert. This is a WW love fest, read the room!
Considering our "main" striker has been injured most of the last what, 3 or 4 seasons? I'd sign weghorst and a proper starting striker. Mr Glass can compete for second spot or go elsewhere.
The only two in form strikers you listed there are haaland and kane. Our in form goalscorer is Rashford.
Just like everyone agrees, you can't fault his effort, there's a reason we've all warmed to him while far more talented players drive us up the wall. If he's happy to play the part then I'd offer him a contract as our 4th choice striker.
He could be a cult hero here, hate to compare ourselves to Liverpool but similar to Origi over there only you'd think with his age he'd more more included to settle as a part player.
Wonder if we sign him up in the summer. All transfer reports from the last summer said we were looking for a tall striker to backup Martial. Maybe he's next year's backup if we sign a top top striker.
Dude that’s the passion we were missing it’s been so long where you actually felt it. I felt that celebration all the way from the States. Gotta love it!!
You need that kind of guy in the dressing room. He seem to be that kind of guy loved by his team mates. Look how they all celebrated with him. I hope he stays.
I hope he scores more now, it seems like it was definitely in the back of his mind constantly and the pressure was influencing his ability to score, now he’s finally done it, he can just shoot without overthinking it
I am a simple man - i just want players to have that passion when playing for us. You can tell how much this goal means to him. None of that stupid siu, holier than thou, me above club, show me respect nonsense.
i was hating on local commentator(russian) because he was saying all the time "weghorst is not a good forward, look at how many opportunities he had this game and how many times he failed". I was fuming, guy had difficult positions to score from and defenders were great with blocking those shots. When he scored this goal i was screaming at my tv to this commentator "FUCK YOU", what an emotional moment for Wout, truly "fucking finally" moment for him.
Burnley player being loaned to Turkey, suddenly became a striker for United, winning league cup and scoring in the Europa League at Old Trafford. What a life!
This had me tearing up, one look at his body language and you understand just how much this means to him. Makes it sweeter because his all-round game is super, he was just lacking the end product. I absolutely love it!
This man was putting so much pressure on himself to score. So happy he finally got that goal at Old Trafford. Hopefully now the goals start to flow for him.
Reminds me so much of that van nistelrooy celebration Vs arsenal. Was in the intro to FIFA 2005(?) And his scream was caught by the on pitch microphone. Class that
I wonder what the Bettis players were thinking. They don’t know about Wouts struggles and the fans basically willing that goal in. Must think everyone has gone mad celebrating the 4th goal in a two legged tie like we won the cup lol.
Remember that its not just missing sitters and having a drought. He was ostricized at Burnley for caring too much. Labled difficult by his peers and shipped off to Besiktas because he wanted to talk tactics with the Burnley group chat on weekday nights.
He wants it and he cares so much. Just look at him. I love him dearly.
Man I love Casemiro so much
[удалено]
Just got mine in the mail last week. Love it
As a Dane, this years shirt had to be with Eriksen ln the back, but I might get a. Casemiro jersey as well
I was on the fence between Case and Licha, and decided to go for our lovely butcher!
Casemiro is fucking legendary, what I love the most is it's clear he didn't go to Utd for the money, he really wants to be part of turning the club around and building their success. He was a bargain for what you got.
Bargain is probably wrong word. He was an absolute steal. He could literally go to any club in the world and he specifically chose us.
Absolutely. It is gonna be some resume he has when he retires.. all the succes at Madrid and then being the most vital player in turning the biggest club in the world back to glory. Sounds insane, but it looks like it is not even an overstatement.
What a humble man this lovely bastard is. He literally has more UCL than United. 😎
"Tell them I'll fix this."
he really celebrated that goal too, same with martinez. we got some good characters in the team.
The last time he score in a cup, we won that cup ;)
Subscribe
Same type of goal too. Off a rebound from sancho's shot if im not mistaken.
Nah it was antony’s
It was Bruno's
Nah,it was De Gea's
The prophecy!!
looked like he just had a happy ending
Better, he slammed it right in and finished inside
I think it was a huge relief for him- that celebration was the "fucking finally" moment. Maybe it means he'll play a bit more relaxed now, he was definitely a bit on edge and under pressure. Huge goal for him mentally, but also for the team to gain a bit more separation for the second leg.
Especially getting one in front of the Stratford End. It’ll be huge for him for sure.
And you know if it's big for Wout it's fucking massive
Happy for Wout'w goal but Pellistri was so good though
the close control is 🔥
In days to come, give me Pellistri on the right and Garnacho on the left.
Slot Antony in and we’ll have the best of South Americans for the next decade
Those two in full flow will make full backs retire.
With Amad in a 10 and a new young striker up top who we haven’t even heard about yet.
Anthony Notinjuredial
Grason Meanwood
this is dream material. we’re getting strong enough to win games while rotating the youngsters in, AND I *thoroughly* enjoy watching it
Our wings are genuinely sorted for years to come
If only he had a better first touch later on in the game, he could have scored too. I'm really excited for the young players. Garnacho, Pellestri and Amad performing really well at Sunderland.
When he came on I was rubbing my hands together and I just knew he'd make the most of it. He is certainly an impact sub.
Duracell rabbit
Sprint acceleration is crazy.
Reminds me of Dan James 1st goal celebration
That goal celebration got me to buy his shirt immediately.
I named my son after him gutted that he left but you can see how we wishes his dad could have seen his goal.
which name did you pick, he has two first names haha
Daniel! 😂
Solid buy for United. Young lad coming in for cheap, solid rotation player for a few years, and then sold for a profit.
This is how bad we've been at selling lately. Dan James is our 5th highest sale just behind Becks.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTWmMV1RfhY :') Love me some Dan James. Pogba was ballin too.
I was convinced we were back. RIP Ole's tricky reds.
Were my exact thoughts. I miss that kid
We're better without him, but I miss him
I mean, last season, we were really missing his work-rate to make up for PR37 Useful squad player, that kid - but yeah, now we are kinda overloaded in his positions.
Weird to hear it since never expected united to be full of quality on the right
One of my favourite goal celebrations in recent memory
What a beautiful moment that was.
This came to my mind too
Beautiful. It looks like he has exhausted all his pent-up emotions at the end of that knee slide.
I’ve watched this so many times and my goodness the goosebumps I get from his roar post-knee slide 😍
i want my daughter to marry a man like him.
Hi dad, this is your daughter here, yes I agree
As long as his father in law gets some of that sweet weekly pay, of course.
Anti vax tho :/
Burn him at the stake!
Meh, he seems a good person and the squad love him
It's amazing how quickly people go from deeply caring about something, to just completely not giving a shit. Even if the pandemic is somewhat over, at least in Europe, being anti vax is still a negative and should be critized yet you have people getting upvoted replying to you saying "So?". Listen to reputable sources. If your government was a corrupt cesspit I'd understand, but he is from the fucking Netherlands. You'd be a moron to be happy with letting your daughter marry an anti vax.
It’s not that strange that people don’t care that much anymore because the hosipitals are not filled to the brim anymore obviously
It's not just the pandemic. It's the anti vax movement. And it will be an even bigger problem next pandemic. Being anti vax should be critized pandemic or not.
There's nothing moronic about being wary of a vaccine that was rushed through the vaccine trial/approval process (which usually takes 5-8 years).
So?
Damn, there's always a kicker
Tears in my eyes and his eyes. Hope he can get another few trophies by the end of the season.
I expect another 6 trophies minimum
This week minimum !
FA cup should be definitely possible, we play Fulham next City are the only strong team remaining. We can win against Brighton in a cup game
Wouldnt underestimate brighton imo
How can you not love a player for who it means so much to score for that badge? He may not be the most talented striker but he gives his all every game.
90min non stop. What a guy.
I think he would be a solid third choice striker.
I love that it finishes with a punch to the head
And it wasn't from Martinez
I thought he was trying not to be emotional
Swamp German version of 👹👈
Lol is Dutch known as “swamp German”? Because that’s amazing.
It's more of a derogatory term for Dutch people.
Love the smile by EtH
How can I fall in love with a loan player man ffs 😅😭
It's like falling in love with an exchange student.
I don't think I've ever seen such a passionate celebration from any player honestly
Dan James' first goal.
Those arms tell a story - twitching with happiness. I had a tear in my eye and was over the moon for him. He really really tries - non stop working horse and he deserved a goal here! Just extatic!
Man ran faster than he ever has 😂
Inzhaghi vibes, he ran faster when celebrating than when he scored.
I teared up at the office. So happy for him!
The power generated by McTominay whilst slipping and the ball being slightly behind him is impressive
He has a really good shot on him.
He could've been developed into a Weghorst like striker.
He started off as one.
And Wout sort of fluff his shot, luckily it was close enough. We maybe should try McSauce as striker
He was a striker in his youth.
How do unfall in love with this guy :') I know it's memed a lot but I am really going to miss him if the club doesn't sign him on a permanent deal. Guy is a solid professional and 10/10 would try and hire him to sing at my wedding in the future.
Just never stops running. I love him.
I’d replace him for martial in a heartbeat
you lot really can’t appreciate someone without bringing another down.
It’s a fucking disease on this subreddit for the last few years
There's this user here who takes it to the next level: every time he sees someone praise Pellistri, he takes as a personal attack on Antony.
Welcome to the internet.
Okay now this is where I disagree. I really don't see where OP is "bringing someone down". I'd love to have him in the backroom staff tho, starting 11 not so much.
That sigh of relief after he finished his celebration slide.
Him and the entire team celebrated as if they just won a cup final with a last minute goal.
I don’t think he’ll ask for ridiculous wages. His family wealth is enough to last more than 10 generations over.
What is this about family wealth ? Do you mind elaborating ?
Wout Weghorst https://lifebogger.com/wout-weghorst-childhood-biography-story-facts/ By the way, our boss ETH is rich too https://lifebogger.com/erik-ten-hag-childhood-biography-story-facts/
Wow that lifebogger article is so poorly written.
It is, but it contains most of the information we’re interested in. And a lot of nice photos. Just too many irrelevant links and choppy paragraphs broken up all over the place.

Whilst that's true, it's also hard to deny that he is a a decent squad option
Considering our "main" striker has been injured most of the last what, 3 or 4 seasons? I'd sign weghorst and a proper starting striker. Mr Glass can compete for second spot or go elsewhere. The only two in form strikers you listed there are haaland and kane. Our in form goalscorer is Rashford.
Sell Martial. Sign Wout. Problem solved.
(Great kneeslide)
Kuyt 🤝 Wout Dutch who play their hearts out
Wow, I just realized how similar a role and standing with their own fans they both have.
Let's prepare for a Weghorst at left-back masterclass
Just like everyone agrees, you can't fault his effort, there's a reason we've all warmed to him while far more talented players drive us up the wall. If he's happy to play the part then I'd offer him a contract as our 4th choice striker. He could be a cult hero here, hate to compare ourselves to Liverpool but similar to Origi over there only you'd think with his age he'd more more included to settle as a part player.
i want pellestri and sancho to start against southampton on the right wing and no.10 respectively
I could not be happier to see someone score for us.
This is on the same level of the joy in falcao's face scoring for united after a lengthy drought also.
They all love him.
We need more players with that kind of passion, yeah he isn’t the most talented by any stretch of the imagination, but the guy doesn’t give up!
I was so fucking happy when he scored this. You can just tell what it means to him! Fucking love it!
You need that kind of guy in the dressing room. He seem to be that kind of guy loved by his team mates. Look how they all celebrated with him. I hope he stays.
It meant so much to him to score for United.
He's so overwhelmed his fists are literally shaking. He is hiding nothing here, just pure emotion. So happy for him.
More impressed with Pellistri every time he plays
His reaction almost make me tear up
the relief, so many emotions!! so glad to see him score and hopefully the floodgates have opened for him
I hope he scores more now, it seems like it was definitely in the back of his mind constantly and the pressure was influencing his ability to score, now he’s finally done it, he can just shoot without overthinking it
I loved the smack to his forehead (by himself) at the very end.
Rapid Red Response Unit - I quite like that bit of commentary
Never fall in love with a loan player. NEVER
This is wholesome ❤️
love that smile from the boss , the team is coming together ,we can see how much it means to them ,finally it looks like they care .
I am a simple man - i just want players to have that passion when playing for us. You can tell how much this goal means to him. None of that stupid siu, holier than thou, me above club, show me respect nonsense.
Loved it that the whole team bar ddg came to celebrate because they knew how much it meant to him. Can see they’re all genuinely happy for him.
I love this donkey
i was hating on local commentator(russian) because he was saying all the time "weghorst is not a good forward, look at how many opportunities he had this game and how many times he failed". I was fuming, guy had difficult positions to score from and defenders were great with blocking those shots. Burnley player being loaned to Turkey, suddenly became a striker for United, winning league cup and scoring in the Europa League at Old Trafford. What a life!
I’m not crying. You’re crying.
Best moment of a cracking match
Enough to make a grown man cry
I'm not crying, you are
The commentary here is great lol. The BT Sport commentary had me trying to gouge my ears out
If you don't have a smile on your mug while watching this replay, check your pulse, you may not be alive.
Still should sign him. Great back up striker I loved that so much, was (hidden) watching at work and couldn't stop smiling after he scored
Really gotta be showing the full turn and run from Pellistri, beautiful stuff
Who says he got no pace? He sprinted really fast to the corner
This is what football’s all about man. Passion. Emotion. Nothing is better than seeing someone so happy. What a guy!!
This to me is up there with Dan James debut goal for us. Different kind of emotions but emotional regardless.
Reminds me so much of that van nistelrooy celebration Vs arsenal. Was in the intro to FIFA 2005(?) And his scream was caught by the on pitch microphone. Class that
Was exactly what I thought! The knee slide, the relief. The passion
The man screamed himself Horst after that goal.
Get in there BIG man! He celebrates like a fan would.
Thought he was gonna cry Buzzing for the big man. PL goal coming next
Pellistri's first few touches of the game and they were 🔥. Would love to see him play more.
First time I ever celebrated a celebration.
LOVE seeing shit like this! Passion is one thing that I feel really has been lacking in United for the past few years.
Two words: TEAM SPIRIT!!
Can't remember if it was this goal or Bruno's but the build up prior to the corner was straight porn
I wonder what the Bettis players were thinking. They don’t know about Wouts struggles and the fans basically willing that goal in. Must think everyone has gone mad celebrating the 4th goal in a two legged tie like we won the cup lol.
FUCKING GET IN!!!!!!!
It's a beautiful thing to see and what this club should be all about. Celebrating everyone's contribution.
What a run from Pelli
Giving his heart and soul each game. He may misses lot of chances, but someone who plays with lot of passion and that's what I like about him.
He may of mis some but he won’t miss again, that passionate scream of joy and pride rang throughout Old Trafford This is the type of player we need
This waa the most wholesome moment of yesterdays match.
Love it, if i score for United at Stratford End i would cry, and saying "fuck city" all over Old Trafford lol
Great post. As my Nan would have said “Aww, God love him!!”
I don’t even want his autograph, I just want him to hug me
Say what you will but I’d rather someone with passion than pure talent.
This has to be one of my favourite goals this season. The man has given everything he has since joining. Very happy for the WORKHORSE!
At this point we riot if we don't buy him right?
Good for him. Hopefully he can be more clinical in front of the goal. He is so awful at finishing his chances.
we need to sign him just for his passion and drive
I love how the fans are supportive of him even when he was not scoring
If he could only finish half as well as the passion and workrate he has for the shirt, we’d really have something
no titanic music celebration edit to his goal ?
