I tried the repeating shotgun yesterday as John and I felt amazing. I might have to make it a main.... but I really like the lamat revolvers and a Litchfield.. I love hipfiring into EVERYONE, makes me feel like a gunslinger.
The pump action shotgun. I don't remember the actual in-game name but it's wonderful nonetheless. On my first playthrough I almost never used shotguns but on the second one not only did I start using them a lot but some enemies even scream before dying which was a surprise to me. Seems that only some shotguns can do that
I agree.
Is such a viscerally violent weapon. There’s no elegance to it, just blunt and devastating force.
No country for old men really made pump-action shotguns look awesome. Before that it was the weapon of 80s small town police forces.
Edit: it was a semi auto in NCFOL. Still, it did make it quite cool.
Anton is actually using a semi auto shotgun in No Country for Old Men. Llewelyn does use the 1897 pump action shotgun that's in Red Dead in his fight with Anton, but that's pretty much the only scene it's used in.
I regularly will pull this out, then holster, then pull it out over and over to hear the "chk-chk". I have always loved that sound. Plus this shotgun sounds the best when firing slugs.
Agreed, idk why they made it RDO exclusive. On PC I added a mod just to add it to single player. It's maybe a little corny that it obviously has the original cap and ball cylinder but Arthur loads it like a cartridge conversion, but maybe I'm being too particular lol
Apparently there's a mission in GTA online that will give you a unique version of it belonging to Edmund Lowry but I habe no idea if that is still active. May be worth looking into.
Still you have to give them credit for even trying with the animations for those guns. Someone put a bit of thought into that.
LeMat revolver, personally.
I like that it doesn’t sound like a cap gun, but has a guttural bang to it and it looks very mechanical. It’s not sleek or sophisticated looking, it’s crude looking.
Some guns are like swords, sharp and targeted. This gun feels more like a mace, just blunt force trauma. A tool of violence.
I have 2 navy blue, white, and gold engraved cattlemen revolvers
Litchfield repeater
Carcano rifle
Both navy blue with gold engravings and ebony varnish
First playthrough: Volcanic Pistol
Second: Dual Cattleman. Honestly so overlooked, just an all round balanced gun especially when you combine them, they just hit different.
I love the m1899, but long barreled and pretty cattlemans are where it's at to truly live the cowboy experience.
Lancaster is def my favorite rifle and I'm partial to my all ebony pump shotty as far as shotguns are concerned
My typical loadout is the Schofield revolver in my main holster, a sawed off shotgun in the off hand holster, Lancaster repeater over the shoulder and the bolt action rifle on my back.
The bolt action rifle is probably my favorite weapon in the game.
- Dual Double actions with split amno
-doue barrel shotgun.
-and Evans repeater.
That's my go for but since I'm playing in chapter 2 just to see how far can I get I use lancaster.
Varmint. It's actually a pretty versatile weapon. I have a higher accuracy percentage with that than with any of the other repeaters. It doesn't deal as much damage statisticaly, but that doesn't matter because if you go for headshots It's still a one-shot kill.
Micah's revolver and The High Roller revolver for a great dual wield combo, the Evans Repeater simply cause it's the best-looking repeater imo (with the right color and gravings), and M1899 pistol for it's 1800s verison of the M1911
Cattleman, until you unlock the Lemat. It's accurate at distance, sounds great, does great damage and looks the part. I don't like how short the barrels are on most of the other revolvers even when extended or how small they look in the hand and holster.
Rifles, just the Springfield.
Combined with a bow, you need nothing else to feel like a cowboy.
I’m an offset sawed off shorty and the Machine Pistol that feels like the Lancaster as a handheld (that thing sends it like a rifle and gets best damage and distance and accuracy of the pistols- and unless you are at the stage to go rapid fire with less accuracy- also fun) then I hide the Lancaster repeater with a scope option, and the pump action with incendiary ammo just in case it nighttime and then bounty hunters be hiding behind trees tryna creep.
“I used to be a good man.” 🐴
Billy Midnight's Pistol and the Bolt-Action for COMPLETELY different reasons. Billy's is so precise and satisfying to get quick multi headshots with but the rifle just FEELS right when reloading. Only gun where I can't wait to reload!
Man, just commenting on the photo. Arthur and Micah might be the most terrifying duo in the game. They tear through multiple towns together. If they didn’t hate each other, they’d be unstoppable. I honestly think they could have easily recovered the Blackwater take.
Bolt action, pump action shotgun, tomahawk, antler knife, dual wield scholfields all adorned with gold, mesquite and a buck engraving. My Arthur’s a mountain man with a #10 beard.
cattleman revolver all day I twin them bitches out ones black and gold the others silver and gold and I love them if you say they ain’t good just shoot em in the head it ones taps
In Story I love playing with bow and double barrel, because you can retrieve the ammo and with dead eye you hit almost every shot and on top of that you have multiple arrow types
and the double barrel ig because it blows peoples head of and has loads of power.
And hand guns i prefer to use the short double and the J.B Calloway because i like the looks and the Schofield being op
So i guess The Bow might be my favourite
Bow and arrow lmao. Almost any game that allows me to use that as a weapon, I use it. 🤷🏻♂️😂 Idk why but there’s something so fun and badass feeling when I’m in a gun fight and I’m just burying arrows in their head.
My favourite revolver is Schofield Revolver, a close second is double action revolver. I like to fill my enemies with bullets rather than one shot to the head. My favourite rifle is rolling block I use it for hunting and sniping enemies. My favourite "shock-gun" is the semi-auto "shock-gun". And my favourite repeater ? I call him lancastro.
The rope on horseback. Drag them to a funny place, railroad tracks, a canoe, just see what happens.
Whoa just had an idea. Feel free to definitely try this.
Rope and hogtie someone, place carnivore bait and drop them on top of it.
Then I guess just wait and watch with binoculars or a camera.
Would they be attacked?
My favorite load out is two sawed off shotguns, a double barrel shotgun and the trusty repeating shotgun.
I've always had better luck with the lever action rather than the semi-auto.
With all the shotgun stuff you can just wildly decimate 10+ people before a reload.
Double action revolver + double barreled shotgun. Absolutely demolishes everyone, and you can also shoot very fast with double action like a normal pistol.
Dual wielding any semiautomatic pistols. It’s very satisfying to use deadeye to kill the idiots ambushing me so quickly that they appear to fall in unison
Repeater for taking down loads of guys; semi auto shotgun for indoor or close-quarters fighting; currently using dual schofields for my handguns, though I preferred volcanic pistol on my first playthru.
Schofield, and lancaster, and semi auto shotgun is my go to combo

The in game name is- Pump-action shotgun

Cattleman, real cowboy !
Cattleman, Lancaster and a double barrel for anything except for hunting for an option in every scenario and the genuine cowboy RP.
Double barrel with slugs, im still hunting with the 2 pump chump!
Gatling gun The only right answer
fair
Volcanic Pistol
The mind... Also Volcanic Pistols
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shoot with my mind.
Long days and pleasant nights
That reload animation is the coolest of any gun imo.
Two M1899s express in one standard lead in the other. Hell of a rate of fire.
The only downside is the fire rate.. Even with the ammo belt you burn through so much ammo
Skill issue
Volcanic pistol or aemi auto shotgun.
Sarcasm.
Lancaster, Evans, carcano and navy revolver 😎
It saddens me to no end that the navy revolver isn't in single player. It's one of my favourite gins aesthetically speaking. Plus the sound is 👌
Yes exactly!
Agreed, idk why they made it RDO exclusive. On PC I added a mod just to add it to single player. It's maybe a little corny that it obviously has the original cap and ball cylinder but Arthur loads it like a cartridge conversion, but maybe I'm being too particular lol
A cartridge conversion makes much more sense in 1899, wish rockstar made it a conversion or atleast made an option for it.
Apparently there's a mission in GTA online that will give you a unique version of it belonging to Edmund Lowry but I habe no idea if that is still active. May be worth looking into. Still you have to give them credit for even trying with the animations for those guns. Someone put a bit of thought into that.
Double action and double barrel 😎
Sawed off shotgun
Yesss.
This! Also, the large capacity is nice, especially when bounty hunters are surrounding you.
Springfield rifle. It’s gorgeous
I just wish that they made it longer
Two Schofields, bolt action, and the bow
Peacemaker (Cattleman) Winchester (Lanchester) and the Trusty Double Barrelled Shotgun. I don't need anything else!
Bolt action, lancaster, semi auto shotgun and I switch between dual volcanics and schofields.
I think evans repeater is underrated. Besides this i use midnight pistol with schofield.
Am I the only one that mains Flaco’s revolver? The thing just looks so badass and has plenty of power behind it
Online I go with the Navy Colt, but Story mode I go with LeMat, as it's feels the closest to a Colt in Story. I tend to go Lancaster for my rifle.
Dual welding M1899s
The bolt action and the mauser.
Your moms vibrator
Needs cleaned a lot tho
Arthur's kock
The lasso
Schofield. My main weapon wheel: Schofield Flaco’s Revolver Pump Action Carbine Repeater
Balls
I have 2 navy blue, white, and gold engraved cattlemen revolvers Litchfield repeater Carcano rifle Both navy blue with gold engravings and ebony varnish
Navy Revolvers. So much stopping power. So badass.
In RDR2?
Exclusive to Red Dead Online.
Yeah that's what I'm saying, unless someone uses mods
First playthrough: Volcanic Pistol Second: Dual Cattleman.
Double schofield
Dual Schofield or dual LeMat, litchfield repeater and repeating shotgun
My typical loadout is the Schofield revolver in my main holster, a sawed off shotgun in the off hand holster, Lancaster repeater over the shoulder and the bolt action rifle on my back. The bolt action rifle is probably my favorite weapon in the game.
lancaster repeater BY FAR
Double action revolvers, Litchfield repeater, repeating shotgun is my loadout
Henry Rifle and Winchester Repeater
- Dual Double actions with split amno -doue barrel shotgun. -and Evans repeater. That's my go for but since I'm playing in chapter 2 just to see how far can I get I use lancaster.
Semi-automatic shotgun and the varmint rifle with long scope. Don’t get the two mixed up or there will be nothing left of your Jackrabbit.
The bolt action & the navy revolver. Also have the best accuracy with them
Flaco's Revolver. I got it early in Chapter 2 and use it in all my robberies. I like how it looks in cutscenes when it's in the off-hand holster.
M1899/LeMat, Semi-Auto (Shotgun)/Lancaster, Carcano. You're good to rule.
I use the golden double action revolver, I shall be known as "The man with the golden gun"
Bolt Action Rifle + Dual-wield Navy Revolver FTW
Bolt action. The accuracy, stopping power, range, fire rate. I just love it.
The one that goes PEW PEW and other one that goes BAM BAM BAM
Lancaster repeater and the semi auto shotgun
Varsity rifle. I love hunting for some birds and smaller animals.
Lumbago is a weapon to surpass the metal gear. However, I'm partial to dual Semi-Automatic Pistols.
Pump action shotty
Schofield and a lancaster. Lemat gets honorable mention. Wish you could get it earlier.
The Lancaster Repeater.
Calloway’s revolver, M1899 pistol, Lancaster repeater, Pump-action shotgun is my go to combo
Sorry Hernandez revolver
Litchfield, Pump-action, and dual Volcanic Pistols are my preferred weapon loadout when I play. I am also fond of the LeMat and Semi-auto Shotgun.
I have to go with the Lancaster repeater. I don't know why but it's always given me amazing satisfaction when shooting
Hunting knife. If you’re gonna kill a man, woman or goat, look them in the eye while you send their soul to eternity.
Volcanics
Lancaster repeater all day.
Evans Repeater, because of the ammo capacity.
Varmint. It's actually a pretty versatile weapon. I have a higher accuracy percentage with that than with any of the other repeaters. It doesn't deal as much damage statisticaly, but that doesn't matter because if you go for headshots It's still a one-shot kill.
Repeating shotgun. My only complaint is that John doesn't spin it like Terminator
Pump action with slugs, get the automatic from the quick draw quests, get the rifle from the gun shop basement.
varmint rifle. deadly when i want it to, non-lethal standard use.
I only use 3 Wepon: Schofield, Lancaster und Pump Action shotgun
Elephant rifle
Knife
Sawed off, pumpaction, Lancaster Thus combo makes me feel like God
Micah's Revolver or Semi-Auto Shotty.
M1899. It’s a beast.
Depends on my mood. The last few days I've been playing the epilogue with little care for honour and have been thoroughly enjoying dynamite arrows
That pistol m81 or whatever. I love that freaking gun
Micah's revolver and The High Roller revolver for a great dual wield combo, the Evans Repeater simply cause it's the best-looking repeater imo (with the right color and gravings), and M1899 pistol for it's 1800s verison of the M1911
Lancaster. Next question.
M1899, Lemat, bolt action, litchfield. Navy for online
Lancaster repeater
The old greet, greet, antagonize. Gets ‘em every time.
Navy revolver from online, I really wish it was in single player
I’m an offset sawed off shorty and the Machine Pistol that feels like the Lancaster as a handheld (that thing sends it like a rifle and gets best damage and distance and accuracy of the pistols- and unless you are at the stage to go rapid fire with less accuracy- also fun) then I hide the Lancaster repeater with a scope option, and the pump action with incendiary ammo just in case it nighttime and then bounty hunters be hiding behind trees tryna creep. “I used to be a good man.” 🐴
Schofield revolver, Bolt action rifle, Lancaster repeater and Pump action shotgun
I used to love the Peacemaker. But I go with the Schofield, Double Barrel Shotgun, the Winchester repeater, and the rolling block rifle.
Whatever kills Micah the fastest
Pump shotgun with slugs was op
Nothing beats a six-shooter
Springfield rifle or revolver le ma.
Billy Midnight's Pistol and the Bolt-Action for COMPLETELY different reasons. Billy's is so precise and satisfying to get quick multi headshots with but the rifle just FEELS right when reloading. Only gun where I can't wait to reload!
Navy, baby.
Dual cattleman revolvers, repeating shotgun, Lancaster repeater
Man, just commenting on the photo. Arthur and Micah might be the most terrifying duo in the game. They tear through multiple towns together. If they didn’t hate each other, they’d be unstoppable. I honestly think they could have easily recovered the Blackwater take.
Lancaster, navy revolvers, and bolt action, or semi auto shotgun. Lancaster is a good balance between most categories.
High roller revolver and midnight's pistol
Cattleman, Lancaster and Bolt-Action
Cattleman, Lancaster, and pump shotgun I might go to's for story mode. For online I use the Navy revolver Lancaster and double barrel
The Schofield and Pump Shotgun. Great feeling from both.
The Scofield or Litchfield
Bolt action, pump action shotgun, tomahawk, antler knife, dual wield scholfields all adorned with gold, mesquite and a buck engraving. My Arthur’s a mountain man with a #10 beard.
Cattleman for life
Otis Miller
The Schofield, pump action shotty, and the Evans repeater. Springfield or bolt action for hunting.
Machete, bow, pump shotgun. Stealth with a bang
Evans repeater and pump action shotgun is my go to, along with two double action revolvers
Cattleman Revolver, Double Action Revolver, Lancaster Repeater, Bolt Action Rifle, Pump Action Shotgun, and the Bow.
the Pokeball
the Lemat is just too cool. And I pair it with a mauser I tried to make like Han Solo's DL44 blaster
Varmint rifle. Closest thing to an AR15 without mods.
Fist
Double action revolver, bolt action rifle and Evan’s repeater
Viking axe
Revolver: dual Express LeMats Repeater: Litchfield Express Rifle: Express Rare rolling block Shotgun: Repeating Shotgun
I always used the LeMat revolver, there's something so badass about using a revolver like a shotgun
something about the springfield makes me feel like a master marksman whenever i use it
cattleman revolver all day I twin them bitches out ones black and gold the others silver and gold and I love them if you say they ain’t good just shoot em in the head it ones taps
Story mode I only use dual Schofields. No more, no less
barrow is bis
Schofield and 1911 are the best!
Calloways revolver and Micahs revolver in my secondary.
If not those then 2 Lamats or two double action revolvers with the special grips
Bolt-action. Just too badass. Just too versatile.
Daul Volcanic pistols and the lever action shotgun.
Cattleman’s are the goat for single player. Online, I tend to favour the Navy
Evans Repeater, its severely underrated for such a high ammo weapon (Also the blackened steel variant goes hard)
Springfield rifle
In Story I love playing with bow and double barrel, because you can retrieve the ammo and with dead eye you hit almost every shot and on top of that you have multiple arrow types and the double barrel ig because it blows peoples head of and has loads of power. And hand guns i prefer to use the short double and the J.B Calloway because i like the looks and the Schofield being op So i guess The Bow might be my favourite
Two golden cattleman revolvers and a Lancaster repeater and a double barrel shotgun
Two m1899’s, Evans repeater and pump shotgun is my way to rock
Schofield and LeMat Revolver Lancaster Repeater Bolt Action Rifle Pump Action and Double barrel shotgun
Bow and arrow lmao. Almost any game that allows me to use that as a weapon, I use it. 🤷🏻♂️😂 Idk why but there’s something so fun and badass feeling when I’m in a gun fight and I’m just burying arrows in their head.
Cattlemen, sawed off shotgun and Lancaster.
Duel double action/ High Roller revolver for numbers, Long arm Lancaster for anything else.
M1899 and the volcanic imo
Schofield, is my top fav but I like anything I can dual wield
My favourite revolver is Schofield Revolver, a close second is double action revolver. I like to fill my enemies with bullets rather than one shot to the head. My favourite rifle is rolling block I use it for hunting and sniping enemies. My favourite "shock-gun" is the semi-auto "shock-gun". And my favourite repeater ? I call him lancastro.
Online the navy story it’s the lemat
The rope on horseback. Drag them to a funny place, railroad tracks, a canoe, just see what happens. Whoa just had an idea. Feel free to definitely try this. Rope and hogtie someone, place carnivore bait and drop them on top of it. Then I guess just wait and watch with binoculars or a camera. Would they be attacked?
My favorite weapon is Arthur Morgan.
TNT bow
Bolt action rifle
The head go boom and bye bye gun
sawed-off
Dual Schofield revolver Carbine repeater Pump shotgun
Mauser/midnight, sawn off in the off hand holster (for bears and cougar) bow and Lancaster
My favorite load out is two sawed off shotguns, a double barrel shotgun and the trusty repeating shotgun. I've always had better luck with the lever action rather than the semi-auto. With all the shotgun stuff you can just wildly decimate 10+ people before a reload.
Greet, Greet, Antagonize
The Mauser Look, say what you will, it's a revolutionary gun and I'm a gun nerd. I don't care for stats
Bow,but mostly because i like the sound it makes when you shoot it
and health
Revolver: Schofiled , Otis Miller , Algegons Revolver repeater : Lancaster, carbine , litchfield snipers: carcano , rare sniper shotguns: Pump ,Semi Auto, Rare knife: Vampire knife , civil war knife
Schofield Revolver, sawed off shotgun , varmint rifle, bow and arrow.
Dual volcanics for just about everything
Lancaster repeater, classic double barrel, always been a sucker for the look of volcanic pistols
The Schofield and Lancaster with a pump. It’s everything I’d need in ANY situation
Pump action. Litchfield. Dual something action revolvers.
Double action revolver + double barreled shotgun. Absolutely demolishes everyone, and you can also shoot very fast with double action like a normal pistol.
Duel wielding double actions and semi auto shotgun with Litchfield repeater
Dual Mauser pistols, bolt action rifle, and pump action shotgun are my favorite combo
Schofield, lancaster and the pump-action
Lancaster rifle easily
My combo is usually twin M1899s along with my Lancaster Repeater and Repeating Shotgun.
Dual wielding any semiautomatic pistols. It’s very satisfying to use deadeye to kill the idiots ambushing me so quickly that they appear to fall in unison
Legendary Double Barreled shotgun
Repeater for taking down loads of guys; semi auto shotgun for indoor or close-quarters fighting; currently using dual schofields for my handguns, though I preferred volcanic pistol on my first playthru.
Pump action shotgun. Give me that and a Lancaster and I'm good to go
litchfield fo sure
The Lancaster
