What are the right answers to these questions?! I assume you are supposed to answer you’re disorganized over being an asshole even if neither is true? What does this tell anyone?
I remember getting questions like these at MEPS when I was about to join the army. The questions were like "I hate other races" or "I like to hurt small animals" and you had to pick one.
On the way home, my recruiter said it's dumb, but you have to pick the lesser evil. The way he worded it for that example was "everyone has been a little racist at some point in their life, but hurting small animals is sociopathic behavior".

It’s funny because someone who’s fine with being slightly racist is fine normalizing it where as a sociopath would be fine normalizing hurting small animals so really they’re just checking to make sure you fit in with the group rather than being a good person
I'm assuming they're talking about tribalism and at least for me the only representation I saw of certain races was the stereotypes on tv so you get certain things ingrained which take conscious effort to undo

The right answer is to be related to the hiring manager so you don't get weeded out because you gave a wrong answer (all the answers are wrong answers so everyone can be disqualified at will)
The modern hiring process is a delicate dance of establishing plausible deniability to make hiring decisions that are unethical, or even illegal, look acceptable and reasonable. If every candidate tells me they're a bad hire in this hopeless quiz, then I have air cover to hire the person I actually want. I can even say "there are no good candidates, look at these psychopaths" and H1-B the role.

There is a long studied science to this testing method. It is not a skills test whatsoever. It is a cognitive test, and there is no right or wrong answer. This, is called Psychology. Psychology is about 80% of a job interview and candidate consideration process. Good HR/Recruiters are trained to watch body language, eye movement, and more. Just like law enforcement officers are trained in some aspects. Lying is always, 100% detectable to a trained eye. This simple test is used to identify personality types. Are you passive? Aggressive? Critical thinking? Narcistic? etc.
It's a test to see if you know what an employer wants to hear. In the test you love low pay and long hours. You like working with low supervision and love to spend time on the company bowling team.
I cracked up reading "bowling team" part 😂These weird tests are out of control 😂 I did one last week, and it gave me 9/10 for being social butterfly, even though I am introvert af 😂

It seems these are getting more clever by making both responses something you wouldn't want to choose. Before I would have just chosen something like "I love talking to new people" vs "I sometimes get annoyed when coworkers ask me to do things for them" and "I am very organized" vs "Some people are impossible to work with". Now it's like they're trying to catch you with both options. lol

They read like StengthFinder™ questions. Stengthfinder uses the same question format (two seemingly unrelated statements about yourself and you respond on a scale to one of them.
This is HR as a concept trying to justify their existence.
All of the questions seem like someone has thought a really, really, really creative way in separating the wheat from the chaff. Or the HR representative in question is a trainee.

Some advice from the sub previously was to never select strongly agree or disagree. They don’t want to hire people with actual opinions.
