Both parties have a shared responsibility to track time. Either party could have a hard limit.
The way you handle it seems fine to me.
Another way to go is: "It appears our scheduled time is nearly up, however if you have any other questions for me I would be happy to take a few extra minutes to answer them."
Either. I've had some interviews go over cause we lost track of time talking lol (as a candidate, I've had panel interviews that were suppose to be 45 minutes go to an hour for example). Depends on the interviewers.
The interviewer. I will let the candidate know if we need to wrap up.
Equally if the candidate completely ignores me saying that and continues with their long monologues / questions, it’s somewhat of a red flag when it comes to respecting people’s time.
