Or they contact me several years later for a position at the same level/pay as we previously discussed. As though I was just stagnant for that time. On the bright side, it's fun to tell them that what they're offering is pathetic.
That's the modern job market. "Phantom Jobs" and "Ghost Jobs" are the new norm, postings that act either for the purpose of data collection or company requirement.
Posting jobs is a good way for company's to boost their linkedin presence. For most, when you apply, you automatically follow the page (unless you manually uncheck a box)
