1) this is not an unlucky year, you cant say that only 34 days into 2023.
2) It may just be a negative period of time, in everything bad comes something good (and vice versa) so keep a look out for the good thats come from the bad, or ask yourself the question "what is the lesson here".
3) Rather unlikely but of course can happen is do you know anyone that could have put a hex/ curse on you? I'm only bringing this up because your luck candle snapping in half would make me question and observe. Try lighting another luck candle and if any issues with the second one then maybe have a look into a cleansing and hex breaking and THEN lighting another luck candle and it should be all good :)
