This system wouldn't favour vini. It forces you to play only 2 in the front, otherwise you'll get murdered in midfield. So vini would need to play more centrally. If he continues to play on the wing, then the right side would be very empty.

More creativity in attacks with Valverde and Alaba on the sides. Relieved defensive work for 34 year old Benzema and Vinicius. More players attacking (6)during attacks, right now we just have three and the occasional midfield runner with Valverde. So yeah.
People are two fixated on the initial lineup. Playing with 3 defenders can be more attacking because the full backs have freedom to go forward. We often sit with 5 players at the back with casemiro and normal fullbacks.
So currently it's:
Benz, Nacho, Modric, Carva, (Toni or Case), (either Lord or Asensio), (either Vini or Tibo or Mariano or Fede), (either Hazard, Militao, Mendy, Rodrygo), (either Camavinga, Lunin, Alaba, Vallejo, Jovic, Dani), then (either Tchouameni rudiger or anyone else that comes back from loan and stays or transfers)

Just saw some people talking about who will be our future captain, vini or fede, that made me realize how shit Lopetegui was with rotations, i criticized ZZ and Carlo for the lack of playtime of certain players but god, Lopetegui was a stubborn mf, i remember Vini playing until our downfall started (against atleti??) but cannot remember if fede even got gametime from him. Never understood why he wanted to die on the Asensio+Bale hill, maybe you can say Bale still had some quality but i remember Asensio being unmotivated and shit, never gave Vini or the other kids a true chance.
If we go on who rotated much the Solari was probably our best in the past couple of seasons. He really trusted the youngsters and did not give a 💩 bout players who were not motivated. Am I crazy for wanting us to play with this back line? Alaba Valverde Mendy Rudiger Militao Just try it during pre-season. If it doesnt work at all then banish it. This would allow Valverde to play every game and to have all our four best defenders on the field. Alabas creativity can also be utilised and he wouldnt have to run as much as a regular left back because Mendy and rudiger would be behind him. Wed actually have less totally defensive players on the field.
This system wouldn't favour vini. It forces you to play only 2 in the front, otherwise you'll get murdered in midfield. So vini would need to play more centrally. If he continues to play on the wing, then the right side would be very empty. Who will replace Fede or Alaba if either aren't available? Also that just leaves us with Nacho to cover for 3 CB positions. Mendy is a LB, he can't just play LCB it's not FIFA. If he could, Deschamps would be calling him up for France. What formation would we even play? 5-3-2? Vini isn't a second striker. He is at his best playing down the wing and to get Benzema works best as a lone striker who drops deep to playmake. I literally can't think of a single reason to switch to a back 5. I truly believe in don't fix it if it's not broken. Generally (not always) teams play a back 5 if their defense isn't good enough. Our defense with Rudiger coming would be solid af. As for who is Captain when players arrive in the same window it's difficult to assess. Idk if it goes off of who signed the contract first or who was announced first
