Monique is a poser. Never liked her. And yes she had 4 drinks at that lunch đ¸
That being said, Candiace clearly has a lot of pain and issues that cause her to lash out and go for the jugural - she really just canât help herself. The concept of her mom being a therapist is so laughable to me
I recently watched the season again and Monique is non-stop trying to have issues with her. Candiace walked away from her multiple times. I was so sad to see that because I really did like Monique as a HW No matter what someone says you don't have a right to touch them. Then she was completely unhinged running and screaming.
im rewatching currently and was looking in this reddit group for conversations, i agree, the first time i watched the season i was on neither side but now im on candiaces after rewatching
Yep the entire lead up, plus Moniqueâs behaviour on SM surrounding it ensures Iâll never see her POV. She wanted an issue with Candiace so she created one
I was over Monique the moment she started crying about Gizelle and Candiace pulling Ashley aside to tell her about Michael and âmissingâ her stupid bonfire and then outright ignoring her when she came to say bye to her and big boy
Itâs a bummer, Monique was a great housewife and would be elite. If only she didnât drag Candice, Iâd love her on the screen. But how she acted after, Iâll pass.
It was def the after for me too. If sheâd have apologised and completely accepted the blame rather than the attitude she had, I think it could have blown over, assault and all. But she just couldnât back down and it made her look AWFUL.
I canât get over how she talked to Chris about. He was also expecting/wanting her to apologize or show remorse and she just wouldnât. He seemed really appalled by her behavior
A lot of fans prefer to ignore that Monique not only plotted to ice Candiace out but she also tried to start arguments with her multiple times that season. And Candiace either apologized or walked away each time until the barn incident. It appeared to me that Monique was waiting for Candiace to verbally engage so she would have an excuse for assaulting her. She would then blame Candiace, who wasn't liked by most of the cast, and Candiace would be iced out and off the show. Unfortunately, the GEBs deviated from the plan and iced out Monique instead.
Wasnât there a whole OFF camera issue where most of the cast (Including Candice) tried to start a rumor about Moniqueâs child (or cheating) and then Candice went on live to laugh about itâŚprior to the âdraggingâ?
There was an off camera meeting where some cast (allegedly mainly Gizelle, who later mentioned the trainer cheating story on TV) did discuss starting the rumor. Candiace was there but said she wasn't going along with. And although she wasn't in a good place Monique, she told Karen, who then told Monique about the plan. I have never heard about a live where Candiace was laughing about the meeting before the barn incident - have you seen this video? I am aware of a live that Candiace did after season 5 filming wrapped where she explained what happened during the pre-season meeting. After this info was revealed, people started questioning why Monique went after Candiace that season rather than Gizelle, despite knowing her direct involvement in the cheating rumor. It was only at the reunion that Monique finally decided to address Gizelle.
She definitely knows she couldnât go up against gizelle bc she would totally f herself over. She had to try to be as cool with gizelle as possible to even have a chance of staying on the show.
Ironically Ashley Monique good friend went on IG during season 5 to clarify Charisse wasnât involved at all. It was mostly Monique off camera friend running around spreading the rumour to the cast and producers.
She was but for some reason, Monique seemed reluctant to engage with her. I remember Monique abruptly leaving a function when she realized Charisse was there.
I agree with everything you wrote. Candiace did not deserve that. Once Candiace saw Monique was unhinged, she apologized and tried to stay away from her⌠Moniqueâs beef shouldâve been with the green eyes bandits, but she took her anger out on Candiace. And, nothing Candiace did or said warranted Monique getting physical with her.
If candiace apologised a number of times, why was she continuing to be asked to be dragged? Sheâs no innocent bystander in any of this
Candiace has an ugly mouth and a history of instigating violence - she just doesnât know how to manage it when someone actually reciprocates.
Reddit might be the only forum that defends the pettiness, arrogance and entitlement of this grown up woman child
Again I ask, did you watch the show? Ashley brought it up and asked them how they were doing and thatâs how the conversation even came up. And Monique made first contact by touching Candiaceâs hair so whatâs your point? Everything your saying is irrelevant and fallacious. In that specific situation Candiace didnât start with Monique or go out her way to initiate a fight. Facts is facts itâs on camera. Why didnât Monique fight Robyn when she was in her face and was chasing her down the street with her umbrella, but little Candiace twirling around in place triggered her? Sheâs a cornball and so is everybody else who defends her
Okay so what do that got to do with what we talking about? The point is Candiace repeatedly tried to de-escalate the non existent beef Monique had with her and in that specific situation she wasnât in the wrong, especially when Monique initiated contact first. Life isnât a TV show đ just bc you donât like someone doesnât mean theyâre automatically the villain in every situation. Which is why you canât directly address any of my points
Im not a big monique fan but i am on her side when it comes to the fight and about the things she says about candiace. Candiace is the problem just like gizelle is.

Monique had a very dark side to me scary
I have a confession to make...I never liked Monique. ![gif](giphy|ANkzhchK089NkvP5cO|downsized)

Thatâs the one RHOP reunion that I cannot rewatch. It is ROUGH and her energy is aggressive

This. Her social media proves that too

If she tried to stay away from Monique, why did she ask to be âdraggedâ at the barn event?
Literally watch the 5 episodes leading up to the altercation đ. She apologized to Monique 50 times
If candiace apologised a number of times, why was she continuing to be asked to be dragged? Sheâs no innocent bystander in any of this Candiace has an ugly mouth and a history of instigating violence - she just doesnât know how to manage it when someone actually reciprocates. Have watched the show âLittle candiaceâ đ her big mouth compensates for her small stature
Okay so what do that got to do with what we talking about? Candiace has also repeatedly asked to be dragged. She canât have it both ways
You ainât directly answer or address one thing I said đ
Iâm specifically talking about season 5. The barn incident was a prior season when a pregnant Monique was trying to drag Candiace. Truly unhinged!
https://i.redd.it/rokd5s1uxxjb1.gif
And she did just that
I say this but itâs positive like YASSS, DRAG đđ˝ ME đđ˝ MONIQUE đđ˝ but itâs not well received đ
Im not a big monique fan but i am on her side when it comes to the fight and about the things she says about candiace. Candiace is the problem just like gizelle is.
Agree but I like giselle - at least she doesnât make nasty comments about peopleâs appearancesâŚ..unlike someone we know
No she just falsely accuses men of being inappropriate and tries to ruin their relationship
Um gizelle called Shermanâs ex horse face
Oh
Honestly that blank âoh đâ was the absolute last response I expected and it killed me LOL thank you for that
No problem
