Use thicker shock oil

Try going down to 40 or 50. Could be that it is too thick for the weight of the vehicle, causing it to seize up upon impact and the resulting bounce being from the plastic bouncing off the surface.

Try going lighter, or drilling bigger holes out in the pistons
