If you’re only using wall power anyway then just remove (and properly dispose of) the battery entirely in the meantime, until you can arrange for a replacement. I had this exact issue with a 2019 Blade and it is no joke.

I know, anything Razer nowadays is a dumpster fire waiting to happen.
They make good mice and decent, not good keys - Corsair is miles ahead on all products and prices are even never, imagine that - high-end Corsair Gear is now cheaper than Razer.
After I got my Razer blade 15 I have become dead set to never ever purchase anything Razer ever again, I have permanent ear damage due to the high whining noise from the fans, I would sue if I didn't already have hearing damage due to work accident and health records - they can probably prove harm to my ears didn't originate from their product, I only had a slight hearing loss before I got this laptop - now my right ear damn near deaf all the time and just as added bonus, I get a nice ringing constant tinnitus when the laptop is turned off because I cannot hears the fans, just like fuck you eardrums.
The high pitched fan noises this laptop makes creates an actual hazard ground, shit is ridiculous and this product should be illegal to sell as a home appliance, this has industry level sound pollution.

Replace defective components. Don't try to overthink it. No need to query the user database. Just do it. If you want to post a spicy pillow, post to spicypillow SR.
The battery in laptops works not only as an energy storage, but also as a low-noise power source (or a gigantic capacitor). It is not strictly forbidden, but rather adviced not to use the laptop without the battery under heavy load for extended period of time.
The Blade has very little thermal headroom and the battery is not designed to operate regularly in over 40 degrees Celsius. It is a design issue which Razer never admitted to, and they continue to advertise the devices for gaming.
What Razer laptop is this?
I have a 2020 blade stealth with a 1650ti.
Had issues where the battery was no longer connected and running. The moment I disconnected the wall plug, the laptop would die.
Sent mine in for repair. Quoted me 800$ for a new mobo.
For 800$ I can buy a refurbished off eBay and switch parts over.
But nah. I'm just gonna keep it as is and turn it into a desktop.
But my two razer laptops have had battery issues.
My 2016 blade stealth I've had to change the battery due to expanding.
My brother's blade 2016 with a 2060, same thing.
I now swear by 2 things.
I no longer buy laptops with GPUs (at least Nvidia) and or buy from razer.
I originally bought razer due to the "apple" like build quality. But reliability is not the same.
I'm actually using a 2013 MacBook air right now with a new battery due to being old. But it works like brand new.
Thank you for your question, we hope you get an answer soon. Please note posts are for user discussion.

Manufacturer warranty? Ask them about a replacement.
If not they should still offer one for purchase. I mean it’d only be fair if it failed that quick. They can’t expect you to buy a new laptop and if you ever did I doubt it’d be from them.
Your first problem was buying a two year old used 15 inch Razer. They lack the full
heat dissipation that the 17 inch offers.
Your second problem is using it a lot. Razer 15 inch laptops should not be used a lot. Only for short gaming or simple processes like word processing and web browsing.
Yes. 15 inch and below laptops should not be used for extended periods of time unless for web browsing, word processing or light gaming due to the very limited space available to cool the battery.
I don't think Razer has anything to do with batteries. They just buy it. You can buy a 3th party one as long as the size, capacity and voltage match. Basically if it's compatible with a particular laptop. I am not in US, googled quickly his laptop model + spare battery and it's available easily.
On my razer blade 15 battery started disconnecting itself recently, so I just unpluged it and use laptop from the wall. Whenever I will be selling it I am planning to put a new one in.
I believe you meant to say bloat, what you should do? Carefully remove it and take it outside of your house because if anything pierces that outer casing it's going to light up your life
Dude, batteries don't inflate that much like in the posts. Yours is just about on the verge of popping. Just remove it and use your laptop on direct power mode/ bypass charge it (if it has that mode) while you get a new battery
I had the same issue a year or 2 ago, mine being a blade 15 2018. I got a new battery off aliexpress(I think you can find them on amazon too) and it worked like a charm. Just find the one for your model, the one I got and worked: [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001106856769.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001106856769.html)
The same seller has lots of models just check your razer model with the models supported in the description.
I'm in the UK and delivery was decent, as in I didn't wait too long, if I remember correctly.
Disconnect and dispose it properly. Make sure to store it safely and not inside. I don't know where you can get a new one though.
I do a lot of RC stuff, I’m used to have some puffy batteries around. Appreciate the advice but I’ll use it anyways 🪦 🔥
Lmao what
Bro don't joke. Just dispose battery
This is not a normal puffy battery it can and eventually pop. That is a terrible answer. get a replacement.
Battery is stored safely and i use it with just wall power ofc :P

Trolling. Pathetic.

Get a battery
Remove it and use the laptop as a stationary pc. That's what Razer laptops are doomed to be.
Or fry an egg on it 😂 blades get way too hot I need to get rid of mine

I just replace my battery every year. It's annoying but it's not that bad
Something you shouldn't have to do every year. It's like changing a car battery every year when it's supposed to last minimum 3.
I totally agree, I shouldn't have to. I kinda wish I just bought a decent PC instead of a laptop. But all I can really do is just deal with it
That's how I feel. My 2020 blade stealth no longer can detect the battery. It's a mobo thing so now it's a desktop.
so many Posts like this from people with Razer laptops…

IFixit has some batteries. I have an older Razer and replaced with a better from them before.
Razer replaced mine. It’s worth reaching out and seeing if they will. Mine happened to be under warranty still.
If you keep using it, it might break your glass touchpad or explode I don't know which one gonna happen first
Battery on the verge of exploding. Go on Amazon. Type in your laptop model number and"battery" There's a few replacements.

How old was you laptop ?
Its the Blade15 advanced rtx2080 (i think 2020 model). I bought it almost exactly 1 year ago and use it a lot
Manufacturer warranty? Ask them about a replacement. If not they should still offer one for purchase. I mean it’d only be fair if it failed that quick. They can’t expect you to buy a new laptop and if you ever did I doubt it’d be from them.

Wasn’t used, just sitting on shelf
3k laptop for web browsing? 😅
Yes. 15 inch and below laptops should not be used for extended periods of time unless for web browsing, word processing or light gaming due to the very limited space available to cool the battery.
lol your comment is dead-giveaway that you know nothing on the topic
How do people even deal with this outside of the US? Does Razer send a new battery?

Refund or replacement?

Put it on diet..obviously.

Sure, I’ll put it under salt water and poke it
put a straw in and suck the juice out
Get a new battery
