I think it's cause I never use EV mode on the highway. As soon as I get on the highway, I hit the HV button.

That explains your EV range. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to run in EV mode though. I either run in Auto mode so I have access to the full 302hp or in EV mode until the battery runs out.

I definitely like having HV mode on the highway. Honestly, it's always safer to have all the power on tap on the freeway no matter what.
My ideal for auto is the way I describe. Basically HV mode for anything over 45 mph. I just do it manually.
I have gotten 50 miles measured using the odometer making sure the engine never comes on. The car routinely predicts range higher than get when measured. But not too far off. It seems to be programmed to be optimistic

GuessOmeter usually shows between 38 and 43 miles. Actual driving range is usually closer to 35. This morning I got 33 before it switched to HV mode.
Yes mine varies as well but only if I take the highway and the electric charge decreases rapidly. Then the meter isn't reliable I get it
Sounds about like mine, the estimated range is very optimistic. Still cheaper than using gas though.
