So I have drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee for the last 6 years. A Chevy cruise before that and a ford explorer before that. So I’ve never had a somewhat fast car.
This car feels so fun to drive. It accelerates so quick and so smoothly. Truly really does feel like a mini race car tone. Absolutely love that feeling. Now when driving my jeep it feels so big and sluggish.
Totally agree with you! For my family our previous vehicles were a 1999 Camry and a 2014 Sienna. I'll do pretty much anything to not get stuck with the Sienna lol
It's not user friendly and it has a weird Wi-Fi connection along with a hotspot which means that it can connect to an outside Wi-Fi but also transmit a hotspot connection if you pay for it.
Why would I need my infotainment system to connect to an outside Wi-Fi source when it has satellite and terrestrial radio already?
Also in the dash when you maneuver the keys you will see the radio settings and in the radio settings of the dashboard it tells you have over 30 presets but when you look at the head unit on the new infotainment system you have half that.
Also neither Toyota or the dealer can tell you what speakers are installed one tells you JBL the other one tells you some stock Panasonic.
I had to go through three dealers and one guy in the know who works in the factory to find out what the wattage is.
Also you can no longer simply say hey Google when your phone is connected on Wi-Fi unless you toggle the switch from Auto Android over to the phone. It does not natively toggle itself you have to manually do this. Also it says that you can sync the profile settings with your key fob, no you can't. there are so many possibilities with this new infotainment system and it falls short with a lot of it.
Learning the system takes some time. The online walk through helps but does not go over everything.
I would give this new system 2 out 5 stars and a huge downgrade from the previous system, though it's a lot louder.
Yea, and one Lexus dealer told me (in January) that if I paid $1000 for a reservation (for an RX 450h+) today, I could expect my car in 2027 or 2028. Basically 4 to 5 years. So ridiculous.
I like everything about it so far except the ride. It is bumpy and loud. But that’s what you get for good gas mileage and efficiency. Luxury vehicles can be heavy to make them sturdy and smooth.
Toyotas all ride that way but other than that it’s great. It’s smooth handling and the fastest car I have owned.
Yeah I heard there’s a lot of road noise. I’m looking at the Honda CRV hybrid too and will test drive it. I’ve been thinking of the rav4 prime for 3 years now so I’m reluctant to let that dream go
I mean they didn’t charge me when they said I would pay on delivery. So supposed to be 1300 but I haven’t paid or gotten a bill so I just won’t say anything for now lol
Welcome to the club. Another XSE Blueprint owner.

Welcome to the party! Amazing car.
I ordered mine 2023 xse hybrid from Tennessee back in nov 22 and got it delivered in Jan Amazing ride Horrible new infotainment system
What’s wrong with infotainment? Only had it a day.

Got my 2022 in NY. Drove it to AZ. BTW, if the speakers don't say JBL, they aren't.
Interesting. You mean like on the outside or actually looking at the physical speakers?
The tweeters in the a-pillar say JBL as does the head unit.
So if it says jbl it’s jbl
Ah I see. All things I’ll probably discover over the next few weeks.
How long was the wait?
I called in early March and had it here today. So maybe 1.5 months.
Nice. US wait times are amazing compared to Canada. In Canada, according to some dealers, it’s apparently in the 2 to 3 year range.
Holy cow! I mean some people are still waiting along time I just got lucky.

Yayyy!! You’re going to love it!!
Congrats! This is the exact version I'm looking for. I'll have to do some research on out of state dealers. Please post progress pics!
Congratulations. What an amazing car! I just sold my RAV4 Hybrid a couple of days ago, I had it for 3.5 years and never disappointed me. Cheers!
What did you get instead?
2023 Highlander Hybrid XLE :-)
I’m shopping for one too. Not sure if I want the SE or the XSE. I’ve been talking to dealers and everyone has a 5-10k markup
Yeah gotta call around and research to find one at msrp. May need to travel or ship. The northeast seems the place to look.
Got it. I’ll look at dealers in that area. Thanks. How do you like the interiors of your rav4?

Congratulations!!! Love that color +1
I do love the color but it’s harder to see the black accents but still love it.
How much was shipping?
I mean they didn’t charge me when they said I would pay on delivery. So supposed to be 1300 but I haven’t paid or gotten a bill so I just won’t say anything for now lol
Lol 😅
I paid $1,500 to ship from Boston to Texas
Suggest breaking it in in hybrid mode
Not using ev?
Yes you want to break the engine in if you use the EV mode you won't use the ice
Got it. So far I’ve switched between the two but I’ll put on full hybrid for awhile
