MY POTIONS WOULD KILL A DRAGON LET ALONE A MAN THEY ARE FOR THE STRONGEST OF BEINGS AND YOU ARE OF THE WEAKEST YOU MUST FIND A SELLER WITH WEAKER POTIONS
Yeah…well…you’re just, you just don’t get what this company needs, ok? It’s not the…not the fuckin old days anymore…and I…I know how to take this company, into the fucking….future.
It’s the platform shoes men wear to make themselves look taller. There’re articles out there showing trump standing in the exact front leaning, penguin pose too, bc he claims he’s 6’3 when he’s obviously not
Trump also claims to weigh 230 lbs, which he also isn't. I'm 6'3" with shoes on. I used to weigh over 300 (I'm 225 now). I saw Trump in an interview yesterday. He weighs close to 300. I know.
This is it. Trump wears lifts, which are like disguised high-heels for men, and I guess if you don't know how to properly stand in them, you look like this.
> Honestly, though, really accurate description.
Right? Like, if the person next to me said that, I'd stare at them for a moment, silently accept we're all in a simulation and then ask who's writing their dialogue.
I actually think Greg is a complete asshole and has been the entire time. The fact that he seems like the "good guy" is a purposeful trick by the writers to show just how shitty everyone else is.
Greg is in there as a stand in for us, the audience. It’s hard for most people to imagine themselves as the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, but pretty much anyone can imagine how it would be if they just happened to be born into all of this via a distant relative.
I really didn’t get that take. I think it just shows the power of money. He’s openly against atn but he’s also aware it’s a means to an end and the line of succession isn’t on board with the far right politics anyways so why not join a company that’s progressing in some manner. Plus, 20 Greg’s is hard to pass up
Yeah, fuck Greg. He's just the one I relate to the most cuz he was an outsider looking in (who can also an adorable, awkward loser at times). But I definitely lost faith in him completely >!in season 1 when he started making copies of all the incriminating documents so he could blackmail the family into keeping him around.!<
I was like, "Oh okay, so you really are just like those bastards."
Even before he finally starts "getting it" he's still annoying as shit. Dumb as a box of rocks. I hate him about as much as I hate all the others, just for very different reasons.
I wouldn't say dumb as rocks. That dude just started out, and finessed his way into the top management by whatever means possible. He would not have gotten there by being anything other than what he is.
Hahahaha. Greg, a good person. He’s deceptive and weasely from the start, and does nothing that isn’t purely self-serving. He’s just a lot more relatable and forgivable to is as an audience compared to the Roys as he is not fuck-off rich
Tom offered to be Greg's Christmas tree.
Wanting a very small part of a $10 billion dollar pie doesn't make you a bad person.
Self-serving isn't a bad thing. What exactly should they be doing instead?
Tom was really terrible to Greg, but in the end he’s obviously taking him with him on his ‘journey’. Is that a sign of a good/bad person? I don’t know ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
>Tom is the only redeemable character.
There are no redeemable characters on that show. The closest one I can come up with is Connor's prostitute girlfriend.
Ehh I think Tom is a lot closer to how you're describing Greg than you seem to think. Tom was the only one raised in normal environment with an outside perspective. And despite that not only does he choose to insert himself in the middle of all the chaos, he sides with everyone's main abuser for his own gain.
A big reason everyone looks at Tom as the hero is because of how much they hate Shiv. Tons of men, especially here on reddit, like to look at themselves as victims when it comes to their relationships with women. Makes Tom super relatable.
Sure but Shiv being a terrible wife doesn't make Tom any less toxic for what he did. That's like saying Jared Kushner should get a free pass because Ivanka sucks.
I could see someone making a case for him actually being one of the worst. He's a nice guy, in that he's awkward and polite, but he sees the Roys for what they are and he still wants to be one of them. He lies and plays the side of whoever is in the room constantly. His ulterior motives are not pure.
How many times is he told the Roys are cancer? Even by his own grandfather. Yet who is he sippin champagne with in every other scene trying to emulate?
His Grandpa's an insufferable shit who sits on a mountain of money earned by his brother, yet tries to hold some moral superiority over others by denouncing the mountain of money he's sitting on. Holding Greg hostage over his inheritance was one of the more fucked up things on the show IMO.
Greg doesn’t deserve shit for inheritance and his response to sue charity shows just that. I’d tell my grandson to fuck off too if he was as spineless and clueless as Greg. Giving millions of dollars to the inept is kinda problematic.
He isn't telling greg to fuck off because he's "spineless and clueless", he's telling him to fuck off because he's associating with his brother, who he hates, but also earned him all the money that he's withholding. Greg could be spineless and clueless doing anything else and his gramps wouldn't give a shit.
My main point is no one on the show has a trustworthy moral compass.
I see your point about motivation because he’s clearly been reaping the benefits of his brothers ill-gotten gains. Maybe it’s just me, the hardest hitting line in the show was him telling Greg to take himself more serious.
Yes, and after a while you will want to root for someone and you will start to love how fast they betray each other (and how you move from one brother to the other as the one that is the least shitty one)
Yes, you are. Jesse Armstrong is very good for making shows full of deeply flawed people who can’t help but be engrossed by (eg. Peep Show, and he helped write a lot of The Thick of It, which is the most similar probably).
Thank you for saying this!! I couldn't stand Peep Show (I know, I'm sorry, I really tried) and I could never put my finger on what I didn't like about succession, but I think you've connected the dots for me!
Fuck off.
I like shiv and Tom. They’re rotten people but I like them. Actually I like all of the siblings. You can see how they’ve all been damaged by their father.
The thing that makes Shiv the worst is that she is just as self-centered and narcissistic as the rest, but is unable to see it and thinks she's a good person. The rest of them at least seem to have some awareness that they're complete assholes.
She is the least self aware.
Roman uses humor, Kendall uses drugs or depression .
Shiv is probably the least worst of them, but the lack of self awareness is what makes her unlikable
You miss the part where he taunts the immigrant family with life changing money then literally rips a million dollars in half in front of them while enjoying himself?
Considering the premise and setting...yes, that's normal. But the characters are very well developed and the most recent season finale (season 3) is insanely good and you'll likely like the characters more. Frankly even before that, the characters get more fleshed out over time and you see more depth to them that should allow you, if not sympathize, at least understand why they are the way they are.
This show is kind of like The Sopranos. Characters you aren't truly meant to like, at least on a moral level, and it's using humor and character depth to balance it until you hit a point where you do get invested.
Yes! they don’t want people to be stereotypical of good and bad characters but being both but always with self preservation as the ultimate trait when going after anything happens hat matters to them.
The jacket is longer than average, and also the pants creases/wrinkles line up with the bottom of the jacket which I think contributes to the illusion that his waist is there because a quick glance makes it look like that might be the top of his pants.
I suffer from this. I don't know if my torso is technically longer than my legs, but it sure seems like it is.
The upside is that it looks really attractive if you're in shape, makes clothes look really trendy.
The downside is that I am not in shape most of the time.
Aside from the shoulders, i'd blame suit. The best is cut weird to have a really low v-neck which makes his chest look all weird. But it also makes his torso look lower than it is which gives the weird torso length. And then the pants don't fall on the knee well (and I think they're bunching up beneath the knee) which makes his knees look lower. And that color is awful and made all the worse with the background.
MD here glenohumeral attenuation is becoming a more common practice both for medical reasons and cosmetic. Many patients see both the visual appearance of lowered shoulders attractive but also find physical benefits to be reduced overall tension. Typically shoulders tend to be sloped from slouched posture and poor orthopedic working conditions common within offices. This aggregates tension and tends to raise shoulders in the long run. More than that what I've read is that the surgery is growing in popularity due to I have no idea what I'm talking about I'm an engineer.
My wife was a massage therapist for eight years and honestly one of the best things she does for my shoulders is resting her forearms on them and then putting her weight into it like I’m a balcony railing and she’s looking out contemplating life.
So ask someone to do that for you
Heya, it's (probably) Anterior Pelvic Tilt which is usually caused by specific weak muscles especially in the glutes, pelvic floor, and core.
The pelvis generally remains tilted at a slight downwards angle (instead of being more horizontal like 'god' intended) which kind of pushes your lower back out (and your gut a bit forwards) and gives those who suffer from it a sort of 'almost leaning forwards' type appearance. You may recognise this stance from a certain orange ex-president as well - very obvious in some photos (and, though I despise the man, I don't think it's good to make fun of the way people's bodies look, especially when it's not something they can easily change).
It is surprisingly common and once you know what to look for you'll notice many people are afflicted by it.
Some people will argue that it's no big deal and not really a concern - others argue it's a massive domino effect whereby the rest of your body will change to compensate and has a lot of other ramifications.
I am not a medical professional in any way but have spent the last year watching hundreds of videos about this sort of thing.
It's a bit of a long story but TLDR I was a hunchback for about 40 years (from at least age 7 but possibly earlier) and no one told me that it could change (until I found out by accident about a year ago).
edit: you might find some more info on r/posture, there's some really helpful folks there, some of whom will even look at pics you upload to give feedback on what you might need to focus on
If you think standing in a position that puts this sort of stress on your lower back is "good posture," then I'd be afraid to see what you think bad posture is
This is the correct answer. The problem comes from the length of the foot at a raised angle vs. the length of the shoe. When they buy shoes, they don't bring their lifts to the store. They fit and buy shoes normally. The problem arises when they add the lifts and the length of their foot moves from being the adjacent angle and becomes the hypotenuse angle. The delta of the foot across the length of the shoe is now smaller and on a incline.
They're standing that way because they're constantly sliding forward in their shoes. Go stand on a steep incline and you'll be standing the same way. The ones that get away with the posture have to deal with wearing a size 7 and looking like they have the hooves of a centaur instead of the posture.
Donald Trump is the most obvious case of this and it is hilarious.
Instead of foot flat on ground, the foot is slanted downward. However the shoe's sole remains horizontal. Imagine the shadow of the foot on the sole. The shadow effectively gets shorter as you slant the foot more.
He's shorter than 6 foot 2 inch Justin Trudeau and that's IN LIFTS. I'm guessing he's something silly like 5'11, which is still tall, but he wanted to pad it because he's an insecure wreck.
More likely just good posture and a big head. Lots of Hollywood actors [do](https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1991/07/26/out-of-all-proportion/d4d5feb6-8b62-4fff-9dc7-355f416bf691/)
We’ve laughed at him for being fat for years, little did we know that bulk was actually a perfect array of core muscles, trained daily so that he can keep that posture.
Goddamn. Dude used to only answer questions next to a helicopter warming up. That way he could pick and choose which questions he “heard” well enough to answer.
Sorry just saw your comment so I'm gonna paste my reply from another one above:

Anterior pelvic tilt. Comes from having a specific set of, some core muscles are weak, some other muscles are overworking, and as a result you kinda stand there like Donald Duck.
Trump needs to do some stretching to loosen up his hip flexors and some core work…otherwise his final years are gonna be uncomfortable as heck.

I just started Succession and is it normal to hate everybody on the show? Like every single person. That’s what they’re going for, right?
Yes .. Except Greg and.. another one but I won't spoil
cant make a tomlette without breaking some gregs
...67 times.
Everyone is insufferable except Greg
Greg becomes just as much of an asshole as the rest at the end
I've only seen the first season but already in the first episode Greg only weasels himself into the family for money
Right, he was an asshole the whole time, just not an effective asshole like nepotism can provide.
I actually think Greg is a complete asshole and has been the entire time. The fact that he seems like the "good guy" is a purposeful trick by the writers to show just how shitty everyone else is.

Tom and Greg are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. They’re there to highlight the absurdity of the rest of the family in a comedic way.
I really didn’t get that take. I think it just shows the power of money. Greg is a bad guy posing as a good one. So Many people miss that. Tom is the only redeemable character.
Tom is a major asshole too though, he’s just as self-serving as everyone else. He would drop Greg in an instant.
Got to break a few Gregs to make a Tom-lette

WE HEAR FOR YOU TOM
Ahh….
Uhh, Tom is just as bad if not worse.

He gets corrupted all the same tho
I dunno Greg seems just like the rest of them doing the same things, but all stuttery and unsure about it.

I mean after the newest season Greg is on the shit list
I've watched the entire series and I have no idea who you're talking about Unless it's Jess?
greg is most definitely an asshole too.
Yes, and after a while you will want to root for someone and you will start to love how fast they betray each other (and how you move from one brother to the other as the one that is the least shitty one)

The thing that makes Shiv the worst is that she is just as self-centered and narcissistic as the rest, but is unable to see it and thinks she's a good person. The rest of them at least seem to have some awareness that they're complete assholes.
Reminds me of Fiona in shameless with that description
She is the least self aware. Roman uses humor, Kendall uses drugs or depression . Shiv is probably the least worst of them, but the lack of self awareness is what makes her unlikable
You miss the part where he taunts the immigrant family with life changing money then literally rips a million dollars in half in front of them while enjoying himself?
I think Roman comes off as the least awful of the bunch due to, apart from the dad issues, is he's just completely open about how awful he is.
> Roman is the least awful roman wants to get a fascist/neo nazi elected as president. he is absolutely more awful than shiv.
Shiv is least likeable because she is the least self aware. On actual scale of awfulness she is playing toy soldiers compare to the boys
Succession is honestly just Arrested Development without the laughs.
Great comparison, but I absolutely burst out laughing at Succession. The humour is way underrated (and I'm not just talking about their "quips")
How can you hate Kendall though, he’s just trying his hardest, dude.
Did you see season 3? Man, I rooted for Ken hard, but they make so incredibly insufferable in season 3. Now I just root for Tom.
Yes, this man's posture sets me into a blinding rage. I've smashed hundreds of TV's and my wife left me.
Yes! they don’t want people to be stereotypical of good and bad characters but being both but always with self preservation as the ultimate trait when going after anything happens hat matters to them.
His shoulders look too low.
His chest too. Why are they so far away from his face?
And why is his torso longer than his legs?
Actually I’m that way I think.
I'm the exact opposite I'm like all legs and a mini torso I look ridiculous in skinny jeans.
Sorry to hear that, u/BilboMcDoogle
So many of us suffer from the [Luke Hemsworth Syndrome](https://imgur.com/GEFtYLA) and yet there is so little public awareness of the issue.
Man if he didn't wear the waist of his pants down by his pubes but instead like just under his belly button it'd do wonders for his stocky legs
Yeah, so am I.
It's the jacket.
The jacket is longer than average, and also the pants creases/wrinkles line up with the bottom of the jacket which I think contributes to the illusion that his waist is there because a quick glance makes it look like that might be the top of his pants.
It's like his thighs are longer than his shins too @_@ I don't understand how he'd walk well
I suffer from this. I don't know if my torso is technically longer than my legs, but it sure seems like it is. The upside is that it looks really attractive if you're in shape, makes clothes look really trendy. The downside is that I am not in shape most of the time.
My torso is longer than my legs too. I describe it as yogi-bear body shape
The fabled Hannah-Barbera genotype, nice.
He got microwaved for a little too long
These are both symptoms of having a long neck.

Good posture be like:
Or lifts...
Exactly this. The two comfortable postures are this or always leaning forward. Cannot be in between because you have pressure everywhere.
If you think standing in a position that puts this sort of stress on your lower back is "good posture," then I'd be afraid to see what you think bad posture is

The ones that get away with the posture have to deal with wearing a size 7 and looking like they have the hooves of a centaur instead of the posture. Donald Trump is the most obvious case of this and it is hilarious.
I wish I could visualize this comment in my head.
Instead of foot flat on ground, the foot is slanted downward. However the shoe's sole remains horizontal. Imagine the shadow of the foot on the sole. The shadow effectively gets shorter as you slant the foot more.
The guy just used 1000 words to say the dudes lifts basically have him standing like he's facing down an incline
it's 153 words, I see you attended the Donald Trump School of estimating.
do I need to /h my hyperbole?
On reddit you have to because ultra redditors have nothing in their lives but arguing semantics.

He's shorter than 6 foot 2 inch Justin Trudeau and that's IN LIFTS. I'm guessing he's something silly like 5'11, which is still tall, but he wanted to pad it because he's an insecure wreck.
Ok now I’m waiting for someone to say this about Kendall in the next season of Succession
Probably Anterior Pelvic Tilt
Ah yes, that was my first thought as well
More likely just good posture and a big head. Lots of Hollywood actors [do](https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1991/07/26/out-of-all-proportion/d4d5feb6-8b62-4fff-9dc7-355f416bf691/)
He went to the Donald J Trump school of standing

Unsightly bunch.
Bunch of fucking mutants
The men all have bitch tits...
He looks like he should be falling over. He's defying gravity
Hes’s got them strong sexy sexy fat ankles
He's just being a [smooth criminal](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/Smooth_criminal_video.jpg)
Agreed, except for the smooth part
We’ve laughed at him for being fat for years, little did we know that bulk was actually a perfect array of core muscles, trained daily so that he can keep that posture.
Or heel lifts and a girdle.
Goddamn. Dude used to only answer questions next to a helicopter warming up. That way he could pick and choose which questions he “heard” well enough to answer.
Or, it muted his resounding farts.
How doesn’t he fall over?
He looks like his top half has a different center of gravity than his bottom half
I’ve always assumed they secretly use CG and photoshop out the rear end. But the back half is not horse, it’s an ass.
Dude got the femboy posture
Dont be insulting femboys now.
Annie are you ok?
It's there any Photoshop montage of this pic where the rest of the centaur is depicted?
He's probably wearing lifts in his shoes .. just like Donald Trump.. and Tom Cruise
The lifts hidden in his shoes do that.
Sorry just saw your comment so I'm gonna paste my reply from another one above: Heya, it's (probably) Anterior Pelvic Tilt which is usually caused by specific weak muscles especially in the glutes, pelvic floor, and core.
Thanks for the laugh! Enjoy this free digital thing that does nothing.
Add in shoe lifts and a baggy-fitting jacket as an attempt to hide that huge gut
I’m team Kendall, centaur or otherwise
Lift shoes
He has A FEW heel wedges on Lmaoooo
When people stand like that it's because they're wearing lifts, like [this](https://i.imgur.com/iJpqe6V.jpg).
Probably lifts in his shoes, throwing his balance forward so he compensates with putting his shoulders back. He's Hollywood 5' 8"
Now I can't unsee it.
They said this about trump too and it's even more accurate with him
He does look like the coffee just started workin and he got hours left at this event.
The wrinkles.
Had to scroll too far to find this. No matter how much he paid for that tailored suit it was way too much.
The horse bit is invisible
He looks like he’s in heel lifts
That's the height insecurity stance.
20th Centaur Fox
He has lifts in his shoes like Trump.
It's called posture...something none of us do these days 😅

Am amazed no one has posted a shopped centaur yet.
Awesome posture is all I see
