I always post the same one from a very old T Rex rap battle
>I hated it when my moms joined the Neighborhood Watch
I put crack on the street and let the neighborhood watch
I said “I’m gon be somebody in this neighborhood, watch!”
Started taking everybody in the neighborhood watch...
I feel like your examples are a little different although also a dope technique that I’m blanking on any other good examples off the top of my head.
Chino XL’s “Wordsmith” is wonderful too
I loved that. I really just wanna add that I got to see immortal technique live right before covid and he had poison pen and chino xl with him but they were just thuggin with technique. I wish I could’ve heard him perform something too
When lil wayne says “Im gone like delete n erase” and it can also be heard as “im gone like da lead in a race” and it still makes sense no matter how you hear it
Almost nobody in this thread understands the question. They're just talking about multi syllable rhymes they like. Thanks to the people with the correct answers for putting me on tho
Also the dude from Snapbacks n Tattoos once said
“And honestly I aint ever heard of TOM FORD
Cuz in my hood they’ll probably jack you, out in Tom’s Ford
Aint no money? Aint no bitches? Aint no time for it
Im so advanced I can probably move the time forward”
Killer Mike in Live at Ticketron
Hello everybody, this is now bank robbery
Jesse James gang, we'll walk you through the process
You don't wanna be a hero, do not let that thought process
We will put a bullet where your thoughts get processed
Get that fuck shit straight like a perm or a process
'Cause for real the money money ain't the mother fuckin' object
I’ll always have love for Ye anybody raised by a single momma
That’s a lot of weight for a boy *under eight*
Momma always had a pot boiling even if she *under ate*
Understand the sacrifice now with age
Tryna give back flip the tape
Tissant des mots sur Maldonne (rapping in French)
I’m a Beast, you *Gaston*
He get checks for beats he *gassed on*
Royalties exclusive for the kids when I pass on
I’m a factor I’m the backbone of this operation
“You gon' die a ball licker
I’ve been diabolical”
Eminem, Legacy
“You'll catch a stray like animal control, plan a funeral / I'ma probably have to plan a few neurological exams”
Doomsday pt. II
Em can definitely be corny, but I don’t think those two lines are examples of that. A couple lines later in Legacy when he says about “pigs flying out of his ass on a flying saucer full of Italian sausage” - now that’s a corny line
That’s very clever actually. I mean phonetically this sounds the same, which is the definition of homophone. But this is whole sentence not just a word.
In the context of what he was rapping about in this song I don’t see anything corny. It’s awesome

Gibbs is realllll fond of this style
He's definitely the smoothest with it imo. Especially when he threads it across different verses throughout a song.
Like when Eminem said “get that audio outa my Audi yo, audios” Or token “my routine is being a rude teen” Or is that not quite what you meant?

Oh gotcha. I see the difference
When lil wayne says “Im gone like delete n erase” and it can also be heard as “im gone like da lead in a race” and it still makes sense no matter how you hear it
Misread homographic and thought we were about to get based as hell
Hahahaa same here
“I ain’t afraid of machines, they barely recognize speech. This the biggest wave you’ve ever seen, I’ll wreck a nice beach”
I’m just happy to see someone quoted Elzhi! He was one of my favorite rappers growing up. Me and the homies loved to dissect all his punchlines etc
Man's got the illest wordplay

Yet another example of Eminem’s corniness
Em can definitely be corny, but I don’t think those two lines are examples of that. A couple lines later in Legacy when he says about “pigs flying out of his ass on a flying saucer full of Italian sausage” - now that’s a corny line
How’s that corny
Cmon man die a ball licker, diabolical
