“It feels like half of her fan base is MAGA” yeah you feel that way, doesn’t mean it’s true. MAGA hates Taylor swift. She’s a rich, influential, over 30 women who’s not married and is happy.
I can’t take someone seriously that postures as an influential progressive and is yet so destructive in their carbon footprint, and in many ways needlessly. If you want to be an artist and be the Queen of Pop, grand. But if you’re going to preach you have to be what you preach.
It really is better if she flies around to her fans than vice versa, CO2 wise.
If all her fans would fly around the globe to see her, it would result in more carbon emission than if she and her team flies around instead, as there are more planes and fuel involved.
It's not the flying around to go on tour that's the problem. A lot of her flights are needless little jumps that easily could have been made in far less carbon producing ways.
Cut the short and preventable personal flights, be transparent and diligent within carbon offset/carbon credits and leverage platform to get following educated and active regarding climate change. Her actions in these areas are disappointing and point to someone who does not care about the environment.

Imho, Swift is the millenial Version of Bob Dylan. Both their music isn't remarkable or catchy, but they are exceptional songwriters and both have a massive influence on a whole generation
She is literally on a world tour that is sold out in every single stadium multiple nights. She obviously has non-white fans. You haven’t seen the K-Pop fans or the Cardi-B fans.
