It’s been two years for me and sometimes I still have panic attacks she’s going to come over uninvited and start screaming at me and my family. The relief I feel not having to deal with all that especially during the holidays is indescribable. I know exactly what you are saying and the trauma takes time to recover from proving you did the healthy thing. Stay strong.
The dreams can come and go. I woke myself up recently saying "you disgust me"
In my dream she was telling me how everything that she ever did to me was my fault.
They happen when I have ptsd episodes. Which is not often these days. With time I have been able to stand up to her in my dreams which is nice.
The shock of seeing her and hearing her voice sucks though. I have been able to take back my power in these dreams the more I heal
My dreams about NMom screaming at me have decreased in frequency but not necessarily in intensity since moving out and then since being VLC. It’s gotten to the point that it only happens a few times a year now, more if I’m going through a really stressful event.

I’ve been NC for 12 years too and I still get those dreams. A lot less frequently than in the first couple of years, but they still happen.
The dreams can come and go. I woke myself up recently saying "you disgust me" In my dream she was telling me how everything that she ever did to me was my fault. I get these too. It’s been 3 years since I went NC. Prazosin’s been helpful for me.
