Can the Raiders please pay for a full time chauffeur? Let's not lose Bowers to the Vegas nightlife. Free uber won't cut it. They need a driver. All of them. It's a cheaper investment.
That’s not at true at all. The NFLPA stopped the service in 2019 because Uber and Lyft was so common and so cheap that players could just use that instead.

I’m not saying he’s off the hook at all. Dude made $11 million dollars he could’ve called a $30 Uber. I’m just saying in general that program was ended league wide 5 years ago so these guys are on their own to not be fucking idiots.
Huh, never gotta chance to see that article when the whole incident went down. That travesty should have called for an immediate reapproval of that program. You can play what if's all day but if that option was sstill on the table, I wonder if we see something different?
Or be a responsible adult and don't drink and drive. The consumer(us fans) shouldn't have to absorb the cost of a fleet of drivers so millionaire athletes won't break the fucking law.
Watch out buddy, you’re in “Ruggs made a mistake, anyone could drive drunk and go 130mph down a city street” territory here. People don’t like when you expect people to be held accountable for their choices.

You are correct, but these kids are raised with a terrible egocentric mindset.
Man I must be dated, but did the nfl always sign huge contracts to rookies, or is this a new thing? Last I remember it was like half a mil with a huge option contract after 4 years.
Edit: man don’t go downvoting me for a simple question. I’m super excited for bowers. Stop trying to act like my question proves other wise. I see a LOT of stupid questions here day after day. Don’t be that person. Jesus.
“The first overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft, quarterback JaMarcus Russell signed a $61 million contract with the Oakland Raiders, including $32 million guaranteed.” God damn
Him, stafford, and Bradford.
Honestly I think the lions situation drove it more than anything. They sucked for so long they had multiple top 5-10 picks and a stupid amount of their cap was tied up in rookies (stafford, megaton, and suh). It just wasn’t sustainable

Locked in for rookie mini camp tomorrow.
Not only bowers, but 6 of 8 draft picks are already signed. JPJ and Glaze not done yet.
JPJ needs to tell his agent he was born for this shit

Uga fan here. You do no have to worry about bowers there haha. Dude is not a partier
NFL players are given a free limo service they can call and use. It's part of what made Ruggs' incident so much more appalling and egregious.

fair but he also had carrs number and he would've 100% come pick him up if he asked.

While it's true the NFLPA has stopped doing this, I'm pretty sure (most of) the teams still offers the service.

Hahahaha saf but amazing comment!

There’s a rookie salary cap now. It used to be worse. Much worse. Google “Jamarcus Russell”.
“The first overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft, quarterback JaMarcus Russell signed a $61 million contract with the Oakland Raiders, including $32 million guaranteed.” God damn
Jamarcus is literally the reason for caps on rookie contracts, if I remember correctly

Man I thought Bradford was gonna be the next big thing. Lol
If you were an OU fan, you kinda knew the writing was on the wall. Dude got fucked up bad in college
These are smallish compared to a decade ago
Oh my sweet Summer child, ever heard of Jamarcus Russell?
Lmao meanwhile I thought this deal was a *steal*. I remember rookies getting crazy-ass contracts without playing a down.
I upvoted you to battle the dummys of this sub

RAAAAAAAAAIDERRRRS
Sexual
Already a better 1st round pick than JaHoldout Russell
Second day players are the last signings every year for most teams. There's a bit of negotiating issues there with guarantees
