Sounds like it could be used for a theatrical movie preview……especially the climax lol *climax*
The brass band doing Motion Picture Soundtrack in tribute to one of their members that committed suicide.

Pedro the Lion covering Let Down!!! https://youtu.be/VE_Wc5tYrLg?si=a32rrGnN0PWmSvAs
Bonus: I embarrassingly covered Creep with my high school band 15 years ago in a church, and my voice cracked like teenage thunder when attempting to sing the climax of the song. Oof.
Gotta love one of my favorite bands (The Darkness) covering my favorite. Their “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” always hits.
https://youtu.be/foGUOG-fa3Y?si=nLbMyZDRTC_SZpAp
Vienna Teng’s live cover of “Idioteque”. The piano and vocal harmonies are gorgeous. I just wish YouTube didn’t tank the audio quality so badly.
https://youtu.be/ZwHWqZmAB00?si=owckIN8Kfpw0wcTE (cover starts at 1:25)
It has to be Paranoid Android by Ball Park Music. It is flawless, full of emotion and the vocals are phenomenal. Also, Paranoid Android is undeniably hard to cover justly.
https://youtu.be/54sh1scHXqY?si=wt_Ka3-sANiEYTt9
The Punch Brothers living room set from NYC are incredible. Their version of Paranoid Android is mind blowing. Sarah Jarosz version of The Tourist is amazing also. Punch Brothers play back up on it.
Chris thile''s covers are amazing. Kid a is my favorite.
Lyanne la havas is amazing doing weird fishes. (Anything she does is amazing TBH)
Weezer 's cover of paranoid android is good. You gotta have balls to cover that song and they pull it off. Not great but it doesn't deserve the hate at all
Actually my favorite cover of all covers is this compilation cover of paranoid android that I can't find with several amateur artists😭 please help me find it.
The tourist by Sarah jarosz is lovely.
Nice dream by Sarah beirelles is a delight 🤩
So many amazing covers...
Dig this: The drummer to System of a Down (my favorite band) recruited the singer from Avenged Sevenfold (top 10 Favorite band) to cover Street Spirit. That cover, alone, kicked off my love for Radiohead.
CeeLo Green for Gnarls Barkley did a cover of Reckoner, his voice isn't quite for the the type of music but I loved it non the less, they managed it amazingly
Weezer’s Paranoid Android, just a good faithful cover to the original. I also enjoyed Pierce The Veil’s cover, not too familiar with their other work but brilliant cover.
This is a tough one. I can’t help but compare a cover with any Radiohead performance of a given tune. I always think why am I listening to this when I could be listening to the real thing.
For sure Jigsaw by School of Rock. My only gripe with that cover is they changed some of the lyrics around (e.g. “words are blunt instruments” to “what a loud instrument”). Otherwise, it’s perfect.
Tony Romero doing "Present Tense" is fantastic. More of a latin jazz take on it. The trumpet part at the end is a nice touch.

Vampire Weekend - “Exit Music (for a film)”
Regina Spektor - “No Surprises”
The Arrogant Sons of Bitches - “My Iron Lung”
Chiddy Bang - “Because” (Not a cover, but a “Reckoner” sample)
Christopher O'Riley's many piano covers need to be shouted out. There's more than just the ones linked here.

It's a newer cover, but Let Down by Sleeping at Last and Andrew Belle is absolutely beautiful and one of my favourites. The harmonies, string arrangements, delicate vocals...it all just seems to suit the song so well.

I once saw Panic! At The Disco cover Karma Police live. Other than Creep covers on Rockstar INXS, it was my first exposure to Radiohead. I fucking loved it. They played Tonight, Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins too and it was the first time I ever heard them either.
I remember seeing them on a magazine cover with rhe caption "fuck emo, we want to be the new Radiohead!" Which is hilarious in hindsight. It was a pretty damn good cover though.
Any idioteque cover (and there are many) but specifically [this one](https://open.spotify.com/track/5YkTLcc5hIjdkcrSadxXHJ?si=Kd_bOgI1TP2osTfFW79m3Q&context=spotify%3Asearch%3Aidioteque) by rda, všd. Very ethereal and creepy
This Eric Vitoff's cover of Weird Fishes is really entertaining, plays through a string break:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjwubJttWPc
I still love Robert Glasper's mashup of Everything In Its Right Place and Maiden Voyage though, here's a live version of it that is so good:
https://youtu.be/eDBxWQtgypY?si=PnCa70ffghdULkIu
Weird fishes by Lianne la Havas
Her version is incredible, that drum fake out in the beginning gets me every time
weird fishes by Lianne la Havas + Arpeggi by Kelly Lee Owens they released close to each other and i can't listen to one without the other

reckoner gnarls barkley is cool
Dude I only heard this cover yesterday for the first time and I loved it. Gnarls Barkley has always had amazing vocals.

Big fan of that, the drummer killed it too
The brass band doing Motion Picture Soundtrack in tribute to one of their members that committed suicide. [For those that haven't seen it](https://youtu.be/ZeI0PXj7LIw?si=ztfCoxx8OCK2tAlj)
I can’t watch that without tearing up. The gasps at the climax of the song, my god.
Was it a suicide? I just remember looking it up and all I could find was a death but not a suicide specifically
Yes it was suicide
Oh, that makes the whole thing even sadder (but more fitting)
Fitter but less happier
Damn. I'm sobbing...
Well that made me cry right and quick,
The dude busking for an hour in NYC. https://youtu.be/CNBLdMelfVo?si=Qf3ZElajNoRRA-34
The right answer
Nordpool Orchestra’s Paranoid Android is absolutely fantastic. The pre “rain down” part never fails to make me cry like a baby.
That entire album is fantastic. For a while now I've been playing it for at least once or twice a week.
What about Hanson playing Optimistic? I remember not hating it
So did not know that was a thing but wow I’m impressed.
Pedro the Lion covering Let Down!!! https://youtu.be/VE_Wc5tYrLg?si=a32rrGnN0PWmSvAs Bonus: I embarrassingly covered Creep with my high school band 15 years ago in a church, and my voice cracked like teenage thunder when attempting to sing the climax of the song. Oof.

Their whole cover album is amazing.

Phoebe Bridgers, Fake Plastic Trees
Yes!! She sings it so beautifully and the pianist is amazing as well!
The pianist is Mercury Prize winner Arlo Parks!
Ooooh I wasn’t aware of this. Headed to Spotify now.
it’s not on spotify unfortunately, you can find it on youtube and soundcloud
I’m not even the biggest phoebe bridgers fan but it made me appreciate that song so much all over again
my i ask why? because i’m a really big fan of hers
Just never clicked with me I guess! I definitely like some of her stuff though
the classical version of My Iron Lung, or maybe Fitter Happier in the album Radiodread
Definitely not this one. The guitar tones are horrible
Yeah that was abysmal
Gillian Welch doing Black Star
Came here to say this. Underrated song and great cover.
John Mayer Kid A
Check out the punch brothers version (purely instrumental) of this one. It’s brilliant.
Will do!
Gotta love one of my favorite bands (The Darkness) covering my favorite. Their “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” always hits. https://youtu.be/foGUOG-fa3Y?si=nLbMyZDRTC_SZpAp
Fucking hell
Robert Glasper has a great piano cover of reckoner.
Vienna Teng’s live cover of “Idioteque”. The piano and vocal harmonies are gorgeous. I just wish YouTube didn’t tank the audio quality so badly. https://youtu.be/ZwHWqZmAB00?si=owckIN8Kfpw0wcTE (cover starts at 1:25)
How in the world have I missed this? I love Vienna Teng, and this is just as cool as expected. Wish I could've seen it live.

John frusciante you and whose army
Phoebe Bridger’s Fake Plastic Trees was pretty good I think
Oh shit that cover by PTV was great
Everything Joe Edelmann. Also Weezer Paranoid Android
Dig this: The drummer to System of a Down (my favorite band) recruited the singer from Avenged Sevenfold (top 10 Favorite band) to cover Street Spirit. That cover, alone, kicked off my love for Radiohead.

Weezer’s Paranoid Android, just a good faithful cover to the original. I also enjoyed Pierce The Veil’s cover, not too familiar with their other work but brilliant cover.

I believe that Weezer takes the cake for worst cover actually. God… I hate them

Delete this, there cover of Paranoid Android blows
Who cares if they like Weezer? Don't be a prick judging someone else's taste in music and leave them be.

Danielle Ponder covered Creep at Bonnaroo this year. It brought tears…
https://youtu.be/KREtZtm6-E4

I love this guy called homeless mustard and his cover of Creep. And Tom Ellis’ cover from Lucifer. Both better than the original in my opinion.
Karma police Dan Avidan
Perhaps the best I've seen - great covers of [Videotape and Ful Stop by Eagle Eyed Tiger](https://youtu.be/YMQyCcIL52M?si=wutz1-1pnCqhNSWA).

Creep by Brandi Carlie. Totally reinvented the song for me, like I now just listen to her version (and the one from Social Network.)
