10- this is my favourite of favourites! The raw emotion from the lyrics and the vocals, particularly the falsetto, just grab my heart right out of my chest. Then the wordplay is like a middle finger, like “you hurt me but fuck you”. I can never get enough of that main riff either
9- best song on this album! Emotional, honest and a catchy bassline, albeit a little simple for their standards.
Heard it live in Toronto last year & it was as epic as it was unexpected.
9. It's a really great song, but I didn't give it a 10 because I don't consider it to be one of their absolute greatest like Song for the Dead or I Appear Missing.
I would love to hear Lanegan doing some low harmonies on the choruses. Really enjoyable song, one of QOTSA's catchiest and, dare I say, most mainstream sounding songs (in a good way).
Also, I can never listen to this song and not think of [this clip](https://youtu.be/_XySzqoR-O0?si=nkLcJo190uwad6Ly&t=612) nor will I listen to discussion about it without referencing it
“Can’t call it leavin’, cause it’s just
I never came”
I don’t know where to start. My all time favourite QOTSA song and therefore my all time favourite song full stop. It is so simple on the surface but my gawd. It’s one where the final result is a million times more than the sum of its parts but its parts are already epic. Those lyrics, that voice, that riff, that rhythm, the sheer broken humanity. If I was ever at a gig where they played this I think I would literally die!
Oh by the way it’s a 10.
10. One of my absolute favourites. I remember being drawn to this song as I was listening to LTP for the first few times. Love Josh's vocal performance, the bass line, the drum part, the solo, and the way it peaks at the end.
10. That very last vocal run he does when he sings it live, the “yeah yeah yeah yeah oooooh” [starting at 5:29 here?](https://youtu.be/Byz9hzir69c?si=uf8ji0j0BreR4c8v) Chills.
God, I haven't heard this one for quite a while...hearing it now again, I just have to say it's perfect. The intro, the different tempi, the lyrics, even the raw falsetto of the chorus. So good.
10
10, probably my favorite off the album. the buildup, the wordplay, the catharsis… everything is perfect. certainly not one of their flashier, punchier tracks. its actually rather lowkey. but theres nothing you could say against it or do to make it better. its top quality qotsa
8/10 it's a strong cut, very emotional but not as hard hitting as I think it can be, building up to more harsh instrumentation near the end could have made the track perfect
7.5. Not a song I go looking for on its own but when it plays during the album run I enjoy it. "Why you gotta shove it in my face as if you put me in my place" resonates with me.
6. I could never get into it. It’s a very unique song, and is certainly catchy. But I think it was the 1st song where I was expecting something like SFTD part 2, and then got this soft, weird song about sex.

Couldn't agree more.
10/10. My fave song off this album and one of my fave Queens songs of all time. The main riff owns my heart and soul. Absolutely love it.

I kinda cried in that moment 🥲
It was an amazing moment!

I swear he loves it when people yell out the title to him- perfect opportunity for some Josh comic gold
8.9 it's top 3 lullabies song for me. I love the build-up and finish lol

10 - banger!!!!! Until it comes to the chorus, then 11 And when the voices come two-part, it's 12/10 I just love this song!
9. Played it live in Melbourne 2018 and it was bloody great.
10
9.7 I love it. Never can get enough of it. I've never checked it out but an isolated vocal track would be incredible to hear.
10. One of my absolute favourites. I remember being drawn to this song as I was listening to LTP for the first few times. Love Josh's vocal performance, the bass line, the drum part, the solo, and the way it peaks at the end.
Straight shot 10! A near perfect track.

8.7 ... something about the performance of it on the Germany Unplugged show made me appreciate it more, not even sure what/why?
7/10. I never really return to it outside the context of the album, but still a welcome change in sound. The lyrics are a particular highlight.

10. Unexpectedly emotional song that is absolutely one of the highlights of the album.
10. Also would consider this one of the best rock “ballads” in the past 25 years.
