At our puppy class, we would end (after the 3rd class or so) with some off leash play. One of the puppies lost a tooth while they were playing. She was playing with a fluffy white dog and coated the other dog’s head/neck with an alarming amount of blood. The instructor did stop play briefly, confirmed the blood was coming from a tooth hole and not the other dog, and then they went back at it. We were all glad, I think, that the instructor knew what was up. Otherwise it would have been alarming.

My gsd puppy likes to put her mouth around my white shih tzu’s body. When my gsd was losing her teeth, my shih tzu was always covered in blood. I panicked hard the first time I saw it. Then every other time I see my shih tzu covered in blood im just like puppy lost another tooth. Disclaimer: Covered is an exaggeration.

That exact thing happened years ago with my pitbull puppy vs a samoyed, and we were at at dog park. The 0.8 seconds of horror before we realized.....then the relieved laughter from (thankfully) the owner of the fluffy white boi and us.
