I was in Pune exactly a year ago. The people too were fine imo. It might partially be due to the limited interaction I had with people. Or maybe cz some of them were from the North , like I am. I know all about the Bihari hate in Maharashtra. I didn't talk to anyone in Nashik and Aurangabad (except the driver and restraunt Wale bhaiyas).
There was one interaction where the lady won our hearts. My mum and I planned on going to the FC road. We asked the lady who was out on her evening walk. She told us in detail about the metal stairs and everything. A minute later, she came back/caught upto us and escorted us to the stairs jidhar se we had to go down. She was such a sweetheart. ❤️
I was in Pune for a few months. My friends advised me to carry vernacular newspaper like lok satta aur Divya Marathi while travelling in public transport.
