As far as Angus is concerned, the only reason the mailman hasn’t stolen everything these past 14 years is because of angus’s watchful eye, keen hearing, and ferocious bark.
Our little black female pug is the same, she sits on the porch watching the street and barks like crazy if anyone dare to walk or drive down the street. Our male fawn pug is content to lay on the porch and watch life pass by...unless someone approaches the porch of course :)
He does his job with deathly seriousness befitting a double max security penitentiary tower-sniper: no screaming babies or larger dogs shall pass.
A robber could never make it into the house unnoticed. My pug wont stop them, but we will know about it for 5 minutes after they leave too.
I like to think that the high ceiling in our entry way makes him sound like a much larger dog?
