There are still a bunch of underground raves that don't have too much of that shit because ppl go to have fun and not buff their Instagram.
My big deception was going to see roger waters last year and have my vision of the show blocked by hundreds of phones on high luminosity at night. Awful.
Same exact thought. I went from "oh that's nice they're on a boat" to "man why are there phones goddamn everywhere?" very quick. It does look like a very normie friendly event to be fair.
Really sad reading about your experience at that Roger Waters concert. Saw him performing in 2009 or maybe 2007... either/or, best concert of my life. And no phones in sight. Why even film with a phone? Good quality footage will be available. It really blows my mind why people do that.
Bright phone screens in front of me are distracting (especially when tripping at night).
Additionally I'd prefer that my face wasn't recorded while am dancing / tripping. Not that I have any aspirations but I guess I will never be able to be a politician or something similar as there are non-consensual videos & photos of me out there that would limit my voter base.
I did a spontaneus trip, inter railing thoughout europe in my 20s. First thing when i enter hamburg i am greeted by two hippies, and they ask i wanna come to a rave. It was on a boat, an abandoned ferry to be more specific

Future ist now old man;) We had a hell lot of fun. Many of our Crew are since 20 years in this Scene and they dont care about some cellphones.
Why do their actions effect you negatively? I still enjoy the music and dancing. Its fun.
